This is an overdue review. My friend & I went November 2025. It was my 2nd visit & her first. I knew she would love this place & she did! Our waitress, Mia C., was very friendly. The Starlet drink was very good. We ordered a Smoked Chicken Sandwich with Parm Fries & split the food. We were both full & the food was so good! We love the way the place was decorated! Great Gatsby in Round Rock is the vibes the decor gives here...BUT the food let's get into it! My dish was supposed to be served with rice and our waitress was so sweet to inform they were out and asked if I'd be okay with mashed potatoes as a sub...yes ma'am I will. Things happen lol I'm just glad she informed me I'm not picky! My was the meal a delight. That SAUCE is so delicious it would prob be great with lamb chops too but anyways. I had a great time, all the staff was friendly and welcoming from time we stepped in until we left. They also have a patio out back but since the weather is bipolar right now we opted for inside seating. I had such a wonderful evening at this beautiful place. I love the patio and the ambiance. The service is great, all the staff I interacted with was friendly and very accommodating. It's great for groups, in fact there were several groups in and out of the place. The drinks are tasty and well made and their happy hour is definitely worth it. I'm glad they're bringing these type of places to Round Rock, it gives downtown a classy air. I'll keep this one on my list of places to recommend. read more

Loved the look of the place, but I wasn't super impressed by the food or thrilled about how much of my time was spent there waiting. Our group waited about an hour and a half for a table and found it difficult to order drinks while we waited (busy bar staff). Once seated, our server didn't come around as much as we would've liked (resulting in empty drinks) and our food took a long time to be brought out once we ordered. As much as I would love to say "the food was worth the wait", it was a little on the mid side. Not bad, but not great. I had the Shrimp Pasta and felt like it was missing something that would've made the dish taste a little more flavorful. I haven't completely ruled them out and would like to return once they've been around a bit longer and have perhaps worked out some kinks. read more

I really wanted to give this restaurant four stars but there's so many issues that need to be addressed. The wings need to be cooked more to maximize flavor. Wings are too large but that's just my preference. The plating for the steak seems basic and over crowded. Either purchase larger plates or smaller portions on sides. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin... when I walked into this place it was absolutely beautiful!! The remodel looks amazing and when I tell you every single staff member had a smile on their face, they were super inviting super welcoming just made you kind of feel at home! They have an incredible beer, tap lineup with craft beers from around the area as well as a few domesticss for all the folks who don't have a pallet! Now the real hidden Jim is their signature craft cocktails that will literally blow your mind! When I tell you flavor profile will make your mouth do some salt as an understatement! Watching them make these drinks is like somebody doing a 10,000 piece speed puzzle!!! As for the food, I can't even begin to tell you how delicious everything was that we had !! I was with a group of 10 and we ordered pretty much one of everything just to kind of try and taste and experience with this place had to offer!! I will be the first one to say that the cucumber watermelon salad on 100° day is the best thing I put in my mouth in a long time. Take that how you will but just know the salty meets sweet is a perfect pairing for a Texas day! Touching on the brioche French toast, sticks my son devoured who is too just allowing him to walk around and dip French toast sticks into syrup, made hilarious to watch!! I don't have pictures of the food because there was so much going on, but I promise you it will not disappoint!! The back patio is where the real life actions at hundred inch TV swinging patio chair back patio bar that works !! I'm sure at some point they might venture into some acoustic playing however this is a new spot to check out in downtown round rock and this is exactly what we needed!! Hats off to the bartenders and serving staff, as well as the chef that I had the privilege of meeting as well as one of the managers upfront you guys have an excellent establishment and we are glad that you're here in downtown round rock!! I think this place has a lot of potential to be the go to spot. The drinks are amazing, but the food was just OK. I loved being able to hang out in the patio area, but the inside was very cute as well. The servers were great and very attentive. I ordered the wings and truffle fries. The fries seemed as if they had been sitting, but it was a large group. The wings were a let down, but I was expecting it covered in the sauce, instead of only on the bottom. It was just plain wings. Overall it's affordable and a great spot for friends. read more

We discovered this new place in downtown Round Rock, which just had their soft opening last night, but honestly it looks like it's running like a pro restaurant already! It is replacing the old Liberty BBQ whose owner sadly died in 2024. Let's hope this place does well Waitress was super friendly while taking our order. Decor is cool 1913 theme, kinda art deco. We ordered the steak frites for the wife and burger and Greek salad for me. Both came quickly and looked delicious from the get go. They also tasted great. The burger was a solid American classic with a hug patty and all the accoutrements. The steak was very cute with a pretty chimichuri and long skinny truffle fries. Small but important detail, the water tastes like clean filtered water. Bar is very busy. I predict this place will do well. read more

This place is cute, nice and open. Service was okay- we kept having to flag our waitress down. My drink, the calmate, was excellent. The nutmeg on top gave it a seasonal feel, and it was well balanced. I ordered beef tips and rice, and the first time it came out it was lukewarm. I sent it back. The temperature was much better the second time around, and the flavor was good, if a little under seasoned. The meat was nice and tender, and I enjoyed the brightness of the green onion to offset the earthy gravy. The rice was well cooked. My friend had the steak frites, and really enjoyed it. I would definitely come here again for a cocktail. It's conveniently located in downtown Round Rock, within walking distance of several other establishments. read more

I wanted to love it, but it was just okay. My medium rare steak was cooked WELL done. My parmesan fries had barely any parmesan. The drinks were good, but nothing that I can't live without. There are better options elsewhere. The staff were nice, but seemed a bit scattered. We were brought food that wasn't ours twice. The inside is nice. They did a good job with the decor and it was very clean. Hopefully it turns around, but so far we were not impressed. read more

Been a few times since I reviewed last time. Food is steadily going down hill as prices are rising. They wanted to charge $16 for a glass of Joel Gott Cab which is literally $12-14 for a BOTTLE at any local grocery store. The steaks are smaller. The prices are almost twice what I paid a year ago for lower quality and smaller portions. I guess they aren't going to make it. Service was mediocre. Place is still the same ambiance, but the value is definitely not there anymore. Sad to see it slide this much. Wont be back again. I guess we will see what pops up next in that spot or around there. read more

Worst customer service ever! Hostess sat us and we waited over 10 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge us. Finally stopped a staff member and asked for our waiter. It's rare my husband and I make it out for a kid-free date night, so we took advantage and had dinner at The Dime! It was a Sunday night around 6pm and we were greeted by a friendly hostess & seated immediately. We started with the roasted brussel sprouts for an appetizer and then both ordered the steak and frites for our entrees. The brussels were good, but the steak frites were SO yummy!! Such good flavor and a great portion size as well. Unfortunately we didn't see much of our server throughout our visit and had to flag down the hostess for our check after waiting about 15 minutes. Overall, the food was great and it's such a cool location- we will definitely be back soon. They also said they were getting ready to open their outdoor space in the back which will be fun to enjoy in the fall once it cools down a bit. read more

This is a great place if you like to pay $38 for a 1/4 inch thick over seasoned ribeye steak. The menu descriptions on the old food stained menu over promises and under delivers. The menu prices lead you to believe you're getting a high end high quality meal and nothing could be further from the truth. I am sure you could get a comparable better tasting and lager portion ribeye at Waffle House and save about $30. read more

I've visited The Dime several times before and always had a great experience, and love the ambience, which is why I chose it to celebrate my birthday with friends here. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing. Service was very slow; some of us waited nearly an hour for food, and orders came out incorrectly (missing items, delayed plates, etc.). Our server, Jeremy, was kind but clearly overwhelmed, and the experience was not managed well overall. The biggest concern was the manager, Brenda. While she explained staffing and menu issues, she did not apologize or take accountability. Instead, she made unprofessional comments about former staff and offered no real resolution when concerns were raised. Overall, the experience lacked organization, communication, and professionalism. It was disappointing, especially given my previous positive visits. I hope management takes steps to improve both service and leadership. Based on this experience, I will not be returning, nor will I be referring anyone to this restaurant. read more

The wife and I came in to celebrate my birthday because we had a hankerin' for a steak, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) arrived-albeit was after 9PM-right after a large party and the rest of the day's customers, so they were out of steak for the day. I figured on trying the blackened salmon, and I'm SO glad I did! It was perfectly cooked, and the glaze they used must have had pixie dust or been prayed over or something, because it was unbelievably delicious. The rice it came with wasn't incredibly flavorful, which only allowed me to, after I'd devoured the salmon, swab the rice in whatever trace amounts of sauce were left on the plate. This took the rice from an unnoticeable side to equivalent of a main course at any other restaurant. The dinner was only ever interrupted by me, pulling out my "Shazam" to add every third song or so to my playlist, and of course by our waitress checking in. The wife and I will be back to try again for the steak frites, however the voice in my head reminding me how incredible that salmon was may very well prove to be louder than my love for steak-wish me luck! Very disappointing experience at The Dime. They only had two red wines by the glass, both Cabernets and were out of both. No alternative offered, even though I was ordering steak frites that clearly called for red wine. The server didn't seem interested in finding a solution or making it right. For a place trying to feel upscale, the lack of basic wine options and service effort was really surprising. There are so many better local options in Round Rock that actually deliver on both quality and hospitality. Won't be back. read more

When we asked about the low drink levels, we were told we could pay extra to have something added, which was disappointing. The food was so disappointing. We ordered the Ribeye and it was shockingly thin, I've never in my life seen a piece of meat served paper thin! It came with "sautéed mushrooms on top"... well, I hope you love mushrooms out of the jar smothered on top of your paper thin Ribeye if you eat here. The "mashed potato's" looked too scary to try. Literally no wine options to pair and all 3 were over priced. The server was pretty clueless and the background music was just awful! The decor was nice but that's about it. DO NOT DINE HERE IF YOU HAVE A LARGE PARTY OR ARE CELEBRATING SOMETHING. I had a very disappointing experience at Dime in Round Rock while hosting a work holiday party for 12 guests. My first major issue was with the reservation. I originally made the reservation months in advance, but when I called the week of the dinner to confirm, they had no record of it. At that point, they were able to book the reservation and said they noted this was a work holiday party. While we appreciated being accommodated, this situation should never happen after a reservation has been made well in advance and confirmed. The food itself was just okay. Unfortunately, one entrée came out about 10 minutes later than the rest of the table. We ordered appetizers, entrées, and dessert, and were actively eating and ordering throughout the evening. Our reservation was for 6:30 PM, and at 8:30 PM--while we were still eating dessert--an assistant manager came to the table and very rudely told us that other guests had been waiting over two hours to be seated and that we needed to get up and move to another area. This completely blindsided us. We were never informed of any time limit when making the reservation. Our waitress was very kind and clearly uncomfortable, as she didn't know what to do. When a manager came over, he reiterated that we had to leave the table, despite the fact that we had only been there two hours and were still spending money and actively eating. The staff's handling of the situation was extremely unprofessional and rude, and it completely ruined the vibe of what was meant to be a celebration to thank our team for their hard work during the holidays. If you are planning to celebrate anything--especially with a larger group--do not book or dine here. This was not the experience we expected or deserved. read more

Everything was prefect! Service was awesome. Drinks (starlet and my Rita) both worth the price, and the chicken sandwich was cooked perfect, for being fried and didn't make you feel heavy and gross. The steak was cooked perfectly and truffle fries were delicious! We went at 2:45pm on a Sunday. I didn't get a picture of the Greek salad we shared, but it was a nice size and delicious. We had brunch here this morning and were pretty disappointed by the food. I had the west Texan omelette which includes potatoes, steak and cheese. There was very little steak in the omelette and I don't think the omelette had any salt added to it. When I asked for salt and pepper they brought me the salt and pepper... but literally the pepper was empty. The bloody mary's had one piece of limp celery in it. My friend had to ask for olives. Her avocado toast with over easy eggs came barely toasted and with hard egg yolks. Finally, while the restaurant is decorated nicely, the tables were wobbly and the paper menus had a ton of food stains. read more

Once they were shown proof that we were there on the correct day & time, they stuck all 9 of us in a back corner squished around a small round table, we were told we could order a drink there & wait for a table to open up. We order drinks & after 15 minutes of no arrival, we go check the bar & not a single one had been worked on.. no water, no accountability.
