I sat with some co-workers at the bar area and tried some of the Brussels sprouts while sipping on their blonde and their Italian pilsner. They have definitely stepped it up on all fronts since the last time. I went when they were still getting things together, but now, with their head on their shoulders and a full beer distribution license, they actually have a lot of good things going for them. It is also cool that they have live music on Friday nights, but I am not going to lie, it is kind of blasting in there. I am glad they are still successful, as there was a wait to get in as we were leaving. In addition, the dining room, the bar, and the patio were all packed by 6:30 pm. Happy hour is nice because $5 pours of their beers is an excellent deal, and I will definitely be coming back for just a drink or two in the future without the need to order food. Their bar has it on lock. RIYL: Brews in Hutto.

The place was fairly crowded, with a mostly family-oriented crowd and lots of young kids around. They have a small outdoor seating area with about 4-5 tables, along with a ship-themed play structure that was clearly a big hit with the kids. Inside, the vibe is more like a sports bar, with TV screens on the walls and an open seating layout with plenty of tables and chairs. Service was a bit slow to start--we waited around 20-25 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. However, once we mentioned it to a server, the manager stepped in promptly, apologized, and made sure our order was taken right away, which we appreciated. For drinks, I ordered the Girl Boss Pink Guava Hazy IPA, and my husband had the Hefepotamus Hefeweizen. We also tried the Texas Blueberry Old-Fashioned. All the drinks were fresh, flavorful, and very refreshing. We started with the Smoked Sweet Chili Wings and hummus with house-made pita chips. The wings paired perfectly with the beer. For the main course, we ordered the Nashville Yardbird and the Beer Can Chicken. The standout for us was the Nashville Yardbird--juicy, flavorful chicken with delicious sauces and a really well-balanced preparation. Overall, it was a good experience. Give it a try if you're in the Hutto area, especially for a casual outing with family.

We went yesterday afternoon and its a really nice property with tons of space. They have a cool stage area, a playground, several tables near the bar with view of the tv and some open inside space next to cornhole. I want to say they had about 8 of other breweries beers on tap (real ale bock and Pinthouse Scorpion Disco are the two I remember) and then they also had cocktails and 2 of their own beers: an amber, and then what I got: the tangerine cream ale. I thought it was pretty good which was surprising as usually, new breweries take a bit to get things figured out. It would be a solid beer for a warm day. The bartender was friendly and they also had a bbq truck on site that smelled delicious but we didn't have time to check-out this time. The only negative I'd say is there is zero inside space with A/C, its all open air. That's not a dealbreaker for me but as its only going to get even hotter, I'm curious how it will impact their business.

It's definitely a destination, in the sense that you're not going to just stumble across it on your next walk. I happen to love this vibe. The crowd skews a bit older, despite the fact that cocktails range from $8 - 10. When I went, it was chill, and a big country band was out jamming on the gazebo. There's also a smaller stage indoors. They brew/distill everything on sight and I've been told there are sporadic tours, which I really want in on. Hopefully those start up again soon! I know I'll be back for a bottle of whiskey, regardless.

They have 2 rooms with a lot of seating, and an outdoor stage where the band was performing. I really enjoyed the band, and they drew a good sized crowd. I enjoyed my drinks. I forgot to take a picture of the last one, the Mango Volcano, made with chipotle rum, and it was my favorite. The drinks are well made and reasonably priced which I loved. Everyone at the bar was very friendly. I do wish there had been a little more outdoor seating, but it looked like they were repairing some of their picnic tables. The location and band made for a fun Friday night. Link to the band's website: http://www.bookthecovers.com
