Bartenders are always friendly. That have a hard job and making you feel like you are at your grandparents house is NOT what they are there for.This is a neighborhood bar and you go to have a couple of drinks, not to be loved on. They usually only have one bartender working at a time and they don't have time to listen to all of your problems or stories. They are there to serve you. read more

Im here in town working for the new Samsung plant being built in Taylor Texas and wanted to go out and have some adult fun, we ended up at Last call and it did not let us down at all. Our bartender Talia was terrific in conversation and hospitality so much we thought we had found a new bar away from home even the patrons were friendly to us as stranges. So this past Saturday night we returned and took other friends with us to share the magic of this establishment we had stumbled upon. And to our surprise it wasn't as friendly as before only because of the bartender named Skyler, i requested a glass of wine and was given wine that has turned bad, so i made her aware of it and asked of they had another bottle and was given a story about not having a wine opener and how other bartenders did not know how to serve drinks and did not put in the work she did for this establishment after five years of working there and that she really did not need to be there so i continued trying to enjoy our night this night time was rolled back an hour, to our dismay we were told they would be closing at the regular time with a time change or not. So i asked her if they would be closing and she said yes with an attitude of i did not care for toward my question. As time marched on we closed out tab. Then out of nowhere the lights went out on the entire block so she got her wish but upon leaving she was quick to say and i quote, get the fuck out to the entire bar so i would like to go back but i think i have had my last call with Skyler... The bar was pretty wholesome, the juke box was cool as well. Played pool and enjoyed my time while being there. Noticed Tuesday morning my back pocket had a hole and that potentially my card may have fell out. We've been here twice now and have been pleased by how cold the drinks are and how welcoming the staff is. Luckily for us it's just down the street and we luck forward to coming back again. There are a ton of screens focused on sports. So if that's you thing you are in luck. The bar is a welcoming wooden old school spot. It is smoker friendly so heed that warning if you don't like smoke. There are a few pool tables and a jukebox as well. See you guys again soon! read more

Very local spot, I'd say it's more or less a Dallas Cowboys bar because there were a ton of them in here when I came to see a game about a month ago. Average sized bar, lots of seats inside, and even some slot machines! So it's sort of a mini casino inside a bar. It's a smoking bar, so be prepared as it will smell if you're not used to it. They have specials on buckets of beer on select nights, so bring some friends if you want to try two or three buckets if you will be there a while. I don't recall there being any food, so it may be a good idea to eat before heading there. There are other selections on various drinks, but no signature cocktails that I remember. I think of this as a drink a beer and watch a ballgame sort of place. Slot machines are in the back and you can play them at your own pace. Bring some singles if you're compelled to play for a little bit! It's sort of like when they used to have those mini slot machines in the convenient stores. I haven't played yet, but I think next time it's a must. So come on in and meet some locals that come here, and enjoy some good specials on any day of the week. So much smoke! The smoke in the bar is so bad it's immediately noticeable at adjacent restaurants. Multiple restaurants next to it have shut down, in no small part due to the overwhelming pungent smell of smoke as soon as you walk into the door. Would hate to be a neighbor to this bar, much less a patron. Clean up the air! read more

I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for all that cigarette smoke! Last Call is a lively place with karaoke three nights a week-Thur Fri Sat- with lots of big screens to watch sporting events. The drink prices are reasonable and they allow you to bring in food. I've read complaints about the owner/bartender but I found him to be a big'ol teddy bear! If you had an issue chances are is because you're probably a pretentious prick! This is a neighborhood bar where the locals come to hang. It's not trendy and doesn't wanna be. So if you're looking for trendy... Drive to 6th Street! If you're looking for a semi-quiet place to hang and grab a few brews and a variety of shots then Last Call is for you! read more

This is just a great neighborhood bar. People are friendly. Bartenders are fine and talented. They mix a great drink or shot (Julie is awesome). You can smoke in here so it is refreshingly old school. The owner is the coolest. Always looking out for his customers. Raffles, free food and snacks, karaoke, sports, great vibe. This place will steal your money! My husband and I went in one night and ordered two beers. We didn't like the atmosphere so we closed our tab and left. Two weeks later I see they charged me $120 for two beers. I called my bank and went in to talk to the owner but of course he wasn't there and never called me back. First and foremost this rating is based on the Thursday night Karaoke. I feel bad leaving such a low rating, but if you are looking for a Karaoke joint like I was you should probably keep looking. Let me explain. The Good: -They have a competition going, you could win money and stuff for singing so that was unexpected. -The drink specials were ok. 3.25 wells will get me in the door. -The staff were pretty friendly. The Bad: -The smoke is killer. Smoking is allowed inside so it really smells. I've always said smoking and Karaoke don't mix. -This is a sport bar. The people here are not interested in Karaoke. The singers in rotation will be talked over and pretty much ignored by most of the crowd. - The competition is mandatory if you want to sing before 11. Not a huge deal but since the voting is based on who brought the most friends with them it is kind of pointless and a little embarrassing at the end when you watch the top three walk the stage and 2 of the three forgot their lyrics and sang completely off key. Ultimately I came for karaoke and this is NOT a karaoke joint. It looks like a pretty cool sports bar. If I were in the habit of rating sports bars I would probably give it higher stars. The karaoke though is only tolerable. I probably won't be back, but again, come watch the game here or something. read more

My friend asked the owner about listening to tejano on the jukebox, he seemed not to care about tejano music and told her he wasn't changing it. Buck the the bartender was being extremely rude I told him that s ran was being confrontational over a stool and threaten me and I went to get another seat and he threaten to kick me out for replying to a drunk patron and she kept going and she didn't even stop and he still let her stay I told him she was being irate and he still threaten to male me leave. Fun little hangout bar! I went to pick up my car at the body shop that's almost next door and due to a miscommunication I had some time to kill so decided to have a bloody mary and this was the closest bar. Upon sitting down I was instantly greeted by this absolute stunner, who had this wild European accent. She made me, hands down, the best bloody mary I've had in years and was making everyone laugh and smile. It's a very good place to play pool, watch a game, and the drinks are priced appropriately to the pour. They don't serve food but the pizza place next door is supposed to be legit. I stopped in for one beer at this place. Bottles only, and smoking allowed inside. It did not smell as much like an ashtray as I expected, but I am sure overtime it will get worse. They have gambling machines in the back, and every visit you get a free dollar credit on the gambling machine card. I may return as it is close to home, but I do not look forward to it. This is a nice neighborhood bar! I've been here a handful of times and was pleased with the customer service, the music and the crowd. My friends and I had a great time singing karaoke as well! I have a friend who is a gambler so she enjoyed their machines.
