I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. I was greeted and served with a drink less than 5 mins. I had ordered my favorite fried pickles with ranch and I do highly recommend their fried pickles with ranch because it was on point. The fried pickles were perfect and crispy golden brown just the way I like it. The staff there were all nice and this was back in the July of 2021 when I had stopped in the place. Great atmosphere and very clean. Thanks and I will be back for more the next time that I'm in Roundrock

This is mine and hubby's favorite bar! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They have a good beer and liquor selection and the food is yummy as well! We almost always order fried pickles or mozzarella sticks, but if you want a full meal the burgers and fries are great! Keep an eye out for them to bring back fish n chips! They temporarily do not have it due to staffing changes. The space is good for large groups and there's pool, darts, shuffleboard, Golden Tee, as well as plenty of TVs if you want to be entertained. Please come give them your business to keep them around!

This is a terrific neighborhood bar. There is nothing pretentious about it. You can play pool, darts, and video games. Or, you can sit at the bar and watch sports or whatever else is on the tvs. The bar has a solid selection of alcohol, and you will always get good service. When it's not crazy busy, you'll have attentive table service, but during crowded times, you may find you need to go directly to the bar (no crying in baseball, ok folks!). You can choose the bar music thru a phone app, so it can be an interesting evening if dueling groups are fighting for dominance! The food available is filling, satisfying, and tasty. Chicken wings have an intense kick! Quesadillas are nice and cheesy. Parking isn't great, but this isn't a massive bar. I've never heard someone walk in complaining about parking. If you're up north, consider stopping in. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

My girls are begging for anchor wings nightly, the 9yo loves their retrial and the 7yo loves the jerk, I personally love the honey siracha and babe alert ranch. Now the honey siracha, it's listed as like the one of the hottest, no sir it's barely spicy at all, I still love it but just saying. Wait staff is always awesome, friendly and super helpful. Only complaint is we saw they have .99c wings on Tuesdays, it says limit 10, which was perfect for the girls and I since we can't eat more than 6. The waiter said it's a misprint and supposed to say 10 minimum. That was frustrating and sad because we would go every Tuesday if we could order less, 10 is way too much for all 3 of us and all 3 like different flavors so sharing won't work either. Love the hand cleaning station, although it looks like it could use a cleaning itself lol. But 5 stars because yesssss, the food and the service are so good. Wait one more complaint, sorry! The skillet cookie, way too expensive for what you get AND the skillet is tiny it's impossible to eat without getting burned. Knowing it was bringing hot and being careful all 3 of us still left with burns.

Now, I'm sure it's great to have an air conditioned space for us dog people in the summer months, but it's a small space with bad acoustics that ultimately made our furbaby fairly anxious. Frankly, the food wasn't worth the wait and that hurt my heart a little since I spent a great deal of my formative years roaming around upstate NY eating wings modeled after the original Anchor Bar's offerings in Buffalo.

Plenty of outdoor tvs and you can hear the sports on the tv so much appreciated to get a good drink and watch sports. The venue is clean, large open spaces, big drink menu so any beer and cocktail they got it. For me the location, how clean the inside and outside was, the fun factor is a solid 10/10. Great overall atmosphere. I will say the let down is some of the food items, it needs help. I only took pictures of the fish n chips meal but I ordered fried pickles, had a few wings, chips and dip, and egg rolls. The egg rolls are nice and crunchy, it had a corn and bean interior, nice warm with the extra crispy exterior. Good ranch dipping sauce. The wings are also good, crispy exterior nice fluffy chicken interior, it's not the best wings I've had but also not the worst. The flavor menu is a little short so you're not going to get a ton to choose from. The chips and salsa, the queso is amazing. Nice creamy, thick, cheese flavor, the salsa is nice and semi chunky. Both hold on to chips but the chips we got were ultra stale. I mean rock hard. We asked for new chips and luckily the new chips were fresh. The let down had to be the fish and chips. The batter was too thick, the batter also was still raw. The cod is nice and semi thick, still cooked all the way but since the batter was soo thick, it didn't have that crisp factor the crunchy flavor was gone, it didn't have the crispy exterior. In the pictures you'll see how thick it was. The waffle fries were ok, not the best not the worst just in the middle, still crispy but it was semi cold when we got them.

Bartender was friendly, interactive, professional, and kept my glass full. She was attentive without being pushy and did a great job of making my dining experience, very enjoyable. The enchiladas were outstanding, full of tender succulent, chicken, and the Verde sauce was something that really took the dish to another level. That sandwich is incredible. If you have not experienced it you need to... You will thank me later. It tasted like a frozen burger. For the price they could have done a hand formed decent burger. I didn't order the $20 burger because that's just too much meat (1/2 lb). Hubby ordered the filet $37, he thought it was good, but over priced. You get some yummy mashed potatoes but no side salad or veggies. Hmmm! We also ordered the happy hour deviled eggs. They covered them in what I think was chili powder. The filling itself was good but getting a mouthful of chili powder was off putting. The waiter was really good. He kept our drinks full. The food came out fast too. For this price I hold them to a higher standard. They aren't giving high end quality, so next time we will find someplace else.

My server, Julia, was an absolute star from the moment we sat down, super friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring about making sure we had a great time. I ordered a dish that usually comes with a certain side (you know how it is with those classic pairings), but they had run out toward the end of the night. No big deal at all, I get that items run low during busy late hours, but when I asked if they could just take it off and swap in something else (I wasn't feeling fries that night), Julia handled it like a pro. She didn't hesitate, made sure it was adjusted perfectly without any extra charge or fuss, and even checked back to confirm I was happy with how it turned out. I truly appreciate how understanding and flexible she was, it's rare to find that kind of no drama accommodation, especially late in the shift. Shoutout to the manager, Verna, too, she's clearly running a tight ship with a positive vibe, because the whole team felt welcoming and on point. The rest of the staff we interacted with were just as great: quick smiles, helpful energy, and that perfect balance of fun without being over the top.

Vida Verde Kitchen -- A Hidden Gem That's Worth Finding…read more Austin is overflowing with trendy restaurants where the food is decent, the lighting is aggressive, and the wait time requires a light snack and a personality shift. I tend to avoid those places. Vida Verde Kitchen, thankfully, is not that. Tucked into a great area but slightly hidden (the kind of spot you feel proud to "discover"), Vida Verde feels like a restaurant that exists for people who actually want to eat, not just post. The menu is a thoughtful fusion of Tex-Mex, fresh flavors, and Americana--familiar enough to be comforting, but creative enough to keep things interesting. Yes, it's a bit overpriced, but the food earns its confidence. The guacamole is an absolute must, and anything leaning Tex-Mex is consistently solid. I can vouch. The wait staff deserves real credit here--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in the food and experience, which goes a long way these days. The atmosphere hits that Austin sweet spot: industrial touches softened by lush green foliage. It's stylish without trying too hard, which is rare and appreciated. If I had one note? This place needs a happy hour and a few more solid specials. Do that, and Vida Verde becomes dangerous--in the best way.
