I had the worst experience here today First they over charged me Then when I looked at receipt I saw their mistake They said they refunded the money over $58.00 Then recharged me The first person who helped me was nice but the night bartender came in was rude to me When I asked her to explain why she was recharging me She was rude and disrespectful My money has not been refunded I will find out managers information and go try to get my money back read more

First, let me say that this review is mostly based on the two sandwiches my son and I ate, but as far as the staff and overall feel of the place, it is awesome. Very family friendly and everyone feels like part of the community when you go. This was our second time visiting and we decided to eat dinner and do trivia. We ordered chicken parm and Philly cheesesteak heroes with fries and fried pickles. The food came out quick, the only problem was that 1/2 my sandwich was stone cold. The top was melty and great, but the bottom was definitely not. My son's cheesesteak was cooked properly. The fries were on point as were the pickles. Plenty of parking. We entered through the outside area, which they had semi enclosed and it was very hot in there on a beautiful 80° March day. We ordered our beers at the bar, waitress was knowledgeable on her beers, she let us taste a few . Friendly, engaging did not offer us a food menu. Didn't see any laying around either. Maybe they stopped serving food. Didn't realize they had a jukebox for music because it's way on the other side as you're leaving the back door. That was very unfortunate. Local down home vibe with decent bar food and cheerful bar staff. The drink specials are amazing and plenty of seating inside and out. The covered patio is a hit. It's street parking but not usually too hard to find a spot. We had a Philly cheese sandwich and toasted ravioli with a Greek salad. I didn't realize the salad was so huge or I would have just ordered the salad alone. The food comes out hot so I assume they make it fresh. We love to come at least once a month. read more

It's a local watering watering hole in "downtown" Leander. Why the double quotes around downtown - because there isn't much happening in downtown Leander. Anyway, cannot comment too much on food as we only had an appetizer and it was alright. Beer and wine are served in a plastic now which is less than desirable. Not sure how it was pre-Covid. Staff was fast and efficient but I don't think I could describe them as warm or friendly. They weren't rude either. Decent amount of variety. It's charm is that is local and has the hole in the wall personality. We plan on returning. read more

We stopped by yesterday around 3:30, they had a handful of customers and it appeared to have 1 bartender/server. The bartender was super friendly and accommodating, definitely a plus. The Bloody Mary was fantastic, I could've had several haha! The Mexican martini was pretty good and the honey cider on tap was delish and light. The only negative was the fact that they use plastic cups, some drinks just taste better in a cold frosted glass. We ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella and tomatoes and the fried pickles, both were good. The place looked clean and they have a jukebox that we used and the bartender did turn up the music a little bit as per our request, I'd definitely go back. read more

I came here with some gym buddies after class for a wind down, and I absolutely love the laid back atmosphere! They have a massive outdoor deck space which, in Texas, of course can almost virtually be used all year round. What's even better, is they have televisions on every wall, a pool table, and darts for some fun games with friends! Their beer list is lengthy, so I felt extremely accommodated when wanting to switch from light beef, to IPA, to cider... maybe some liquor too, I won't lie. We also got a calzone which was delicious, and HUGE, so make sure you come with an appetite. Surprisingly great for a bar-bar type spot. read more

Have been going to the place for years and watched it go down hill. Between the change in hours which is understandable but unfortunate, the lack of food variety though the cook is one of the kindest people i've met so I don't put that on her, and most importantly the horrible attitudes of the bar staff. They have a tendency to prioritize and cater to a particular group of regulars that they bend over backward for while thinking it's ok to yell at the patrons and butt into conversations they don't agree with and are generally unfriendly. The one shining light is Mary who is an extremely hard worker and sweet person. You'll see what I mean about the bar staff by reading the other comments. Drinks are ok depending on who you get (Mary), beer is meh, and food is ok. If you're going there it would probably be for the outdoor seating which is very open compared to Maggie's across the street and the locals but Maggie's does everything else far better. read more

My review is mostly based on service. I came here with the husband on a Monday night because I wanted a post-dinner beer. I marked this place in my bookmarks as a place I wanted to try based off the reviews. I generally try to be open-minded about my experiences at new places, but honestly I was just rubbed the wrong way here. We walked inside around 7 pm and I only noticed the list of cocktails on the wall behind the bar. I looked at the tap handles to see if I could tell what they had and the bartender finally came over. I figured I'd ask for something easy and see if they had Dos Equis on draft and was told they didn't with a snarky attitude that I guess he thought was witty or funny. I asked where the list of beers was and he stared at me and just pointed up...ok where am I supposed to be looking? OH. Apparently I'm supposed to know there are individual beer names hanging not only above the bar seats, but also sticking out slightly over the seating where you have to get up to see them. I tell him I haven't been there before and wouldn't know those were there. I order the beer he suggested (Alstadt Kölsch) based off of me asking for Dos Equis. He asks if I want to open a tab and I say no. His response: "Only one beer?" with what may as well have been an eye roll. You would think with me telling someone that I'm a new patron the attitude would be better. He probably doesn't care since A) it probably isn't his business, B) I'm sure they have regulars and C) he was probably in a hurry to come outside to vape with his friends on the patio that says "No Smoking". Side note: if you want to sit outside be prepared to listen to cornhole games underneath the same covering as the seating which causes it to echo so loud you can't hear your own conversation. read more

I had to post something about their food after all the negative reviews I read before going. We got a pizza, wings, the meatball casserole and a Greek salad. Everything was really good, came out quick and didn't seem like "frozen" meat at all. The meatball casserole was probably the best. The food won't blow you away, but it's great for bar munchies. A solid 4 stars If they realigned their pool table and got some better sticks it wouldn't hurt. read more

I finally tried Leander Beer Market because I've heard tons of great things about them, especially about their pizza. I have a gluten allergy so I was pretty pumped they had a gf pizza crust. When I found out they had the same owners as Luigi' s I was convinced I was going to love my experience (Luigi's had the best gf pizza). Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the pizza at all. The gluten free crust was burnt and black on the bottom. The toppings were flavorless. There were clumps of soggy (most likely frozen) spinach piled on it. The ranch tasted like it was kraft from a bottle. Oh and there was a long hair in one of the slices. I did not continue eating after I found that. My boyfriend had fried calamari, and a regular pepperoni pizza. He loved his food...... thus the 2 star rating instead of the 1 star. Maybe I was just expecting more. Fresh toppings? Flavor? No hair? Quality gluten free pizza in Leander? I'm all for supporting local businesses and encourage you to give it a try. I hope my experience was just a fluke but I doubt I'll try it again to find out. read more

This has been a local fav of mine for some years now. The owner is extremely active in the community. The food is great and priced well. Something changed at the spot and for me no longer has that comfortable feel. Seems has if over serving is not monitored as you will have several loud and obnoxious folks who aren't being controlled. This was the second night in a row that I was ignored while sitting at the bar and watching the bar tender hang at the end of the bar with is buddies. What was once a nice calm place to eat and enjoy some craft beers is now a place for the high volume drinking and the vocally high volume people. My favorite local watering hole. Reminds me of my hometown, New Orleans. Good dive bar feel. I frequent here often won't bartenders treat me like a regular and I like that. They have a good selection of on tap beer that is changed out every week and they have a good bar selection so you can get your favorite shot with ice cold beer.
