This probably should be a Mulligans post but I want Wrigleys to get the praise. Went to Mulligans on Saturday night & waited 10 to 15 mins for a table & no one came to seat us,so we left. Still hungry we decided to go to Wrigleys. Walked in & got a table immediately & Collage football was on & we knew it was going to be a good time. Server came by & dropped off menus & stated she would be right back. When she came back, she had a big smile on her face & was so friendly. We asked questions about a few menu items & she helped us make delicious choices. The nachos are huge & so good. Quesadilla was huge too. We were very happy & full. She offered dessert but we were so full we declined. We relaxed for a bit & enjoyed the games on the TVs. It was a very relaxing visit Thank you to our wonderful server Carlee for making our visit so memorable. We will definitely be returning & having dessert next time. We just arrived with our children and grandchildren and right away the waitress made a comment to two tables about us. We felt the animosity right away. We live in Sun City and frequent the restaurant weekly. She threw three menus at us for eight people. I get it, she probably wanted to go home , but no excuse for her rudeness to her paying patrons. Her name is Carly and we are soooo disappointed in the service tonight. We felt her hesitance to serve us so we just left there. Not sure if we will go back. Mulligans will be our choice from now on. The food and service are great. It can get very busy but the staff handles it well. My issue is that when we came for lunch today, my wife's eyes started watering. Looking around I looked at the ac vents on the ceiling that were caked with dirt also the ceiling fans were extremely dirty. They should be cleaned and filters changed. Those conditions can make people sick! I don't how the well clean the other operations are, Kitchen, bar etc. I think it's time for a total cleaning and then the restaurant would insure a healthier place to eat and meet. read more

Overall, a great first experience here. We went to watch the Peach Bowl. Small crowd at kick-off that grew as the day wore on. Mostly Sun City residents but some young customers too. There are a number of large screen TVs throughout. You can also play shuffleboard here. The menu comes down to pub grub, but they have many sandwiches and pizzas to choose from as well as hot dogs and burgers. We'd like to have seen more in the way of apps and sides to order, though. Spinach pizza, recommended by our first waitress who also tends bar, was out of this world. Easily in the top 5 pizzas I've had lifetime. Thin crust was cooked perfectly and packed with fresh spinach, olives, and red onions. Our Mexican martinis were generous and spot on. As the game went into the second half we ordered a side of plain fries, which, while inexpensive, were a bit burnt and merely an adequate serving. We should have ordered two servings to share but found it harder than expected to pin our waiter down on the size of a single order. Another quibble was the service. Initially, our bartender took care of everything and she was outstanding. She handed off to a younger male server who was fairly inattentive unless we gestured for him. Then again, other patrons were ordering more drinks by the single rather than a round, so it was a busy day. They and their sister restaurant Mulligan's both charge a service fee for credit cards, so be ready for that nick. But, all in all, I could not have envisioned a better experience for what we had in mind. Definitely a keeper that has a good blend between restaurant and bar atmosphere. Highly recommended! P.S. You might think the place has something to do with baseball given the slightly off name but it appears to be about a beloved dog. There are also some clear ties to the Iowa State Cyclones visible on the walls. read more

This place is super cool for a few reasons. My parents live in Sun City and they raved about Wriggleys. I went for the first time today and was pretty blown away. First of all, service was spectacular. Malcolm, you can tell, loves his job. He's insanely personable, knows the menu up and down and had a smile on his face the whole time. The prices were stupid cheap, like really really cheap. Between the three of us, we had seven drinks and three full entrees and it wasn't even 70 bucks. This small pub is located in a strip center next to a Shell gas station in Sun City. This place is actually popular with Sun City residents and they like to drive their golf carts here. You might be glad to know this place does have a full bar, however, I was disappointed in the fact that they have a very limited craft beer selection which is odd for a pub. No frozen drinks either. The interior is relatively small with 8 4-tops and several two tops and equipped with 5 flatscreens. They do have a smaller adjacent room which could be used for private parties. All the food pictured in this review was pretty decent and the pizza was actually larger than I expected, especially for the money. The service was good and I have to admit that lunch for $58 without tip for three people including four beers is very reasonable. There's no dessert on the menu, but it's worth inquiring about since they have it occasionally. For the money, this place is worth four stars. read more

I live in Sun City, so I appreciate and enjoy the convenience of Wriggley's Pub. It can get quite loud and quite crowded, so it might be hard to get a seat sometimes, but I really like their food. I like their chili dogs, pizza, quesadillas and almost everything I have eaten there. Sometimes I feel like the wait staff could be a little friendlier, on certain days, but overall, I'm happy. read more

The 1 star review is for the hockey puck cheeseburger. Ordered 3 for take-out when my wife asked me to pick up "real" burgers for dinner. I figured these would be a good bet to be better than fast food. Unfortunately, they were a huge letdown. The burger looked pretty good, but the flavor was lacking and the patty was just an over-cooked dense puck. The fries were also not good. Seemed likely cooked in the oven. read more

Great little pub in the heart of Sun City. I was born and raised an Iowa girl, so the Iowa State/Iowa decor always grabs my attention. Being one of the very few places to eat in Sun City, just expect the place to be busy as it was on our visit this week. However, even when the tables are full, they do turn fairly quickly but it's always fun to belly up to the bar or one of the long tables and meet some new friends! The food is what you'd expect from bar & grill food - nothing special, but consistently good. We have found that the pizzas are one of the best things on the menu and especially love the Wrigley's pizza. In fact, we have now had it two times in one week. Given the great location, solid service and food, it will continue to be one of our go-tos when in Sun City. read more

I'm really trying to like this place. The service & ambiance are great, but I'm still trying to find my "go-to" menu item. Very open dining room and bar area. Seated ourselves. Was waited on rather quickly. Very nice waitress. Place was relatively quiet until it started filling up but still pleasant. I had the chicken salad plate with fruit. Loved it. Ate it all. No unsweet tea with Splenda or sweet tea, so that was a bummer. My husband had a roast beef kind of French dip style sandwich with chips. The beef was tough and fatty. He didn't have the heart to tell the waitress, but when she picked up our plates, she noticed he didn't finish his sandwich and asked if there was something wrong with his food. She ended up compensating us for the plate. Wow! Very nice. I love it when waitresses are observant and come for refills and ask or notice if you enjoyed your food. We just happened to be in the area and stopped in, but I would go back for sure. read more

Just enjoyed a perfect Reuben sandwich and cup of soup, for just $8. The rest of the crew enjoyed the Wriggley's sandwich (which is like a French dip/au jus). Comes with chips and a pickle. We had a wonderful 1st-time visit at Wriggley's Pub recently. All the tables were filled and the ambiance was welcoming and festive. We were referred to Wriggley's by one of our party who is a Sun City resident. Our selections from their lots of variety menu were Chicken Nachos, Wriggley Beef Pub sandwich & Quesadillas. Our beverages: Martini, Cabernet, Malbec & Dos Equis. We all agreed our meal & beverages were delicious, however, what catapulted the expereience to 5-stars+ was our server: VICTORIA! I wish the food was as good as the decor. My wife, her parents and I went for dinner and when we walked in we were looking for a table and the only ones that were available were high. My father in law clearly has trouble with walking and stability, and the only low one that could have been available was occupied by a girl filling salt and pepper shakers. She clearly had no intention of moving while watching us decide where to sit so we took the only 4 top table next to the jukebox. A nice lady came over to select some songs and was basically a guest at our table for that time. She couldn't really fit behind my father in law so my wife moved and stood at the table until the selections were over. The lady actually left 17 credits for us because it was a little uncomfortable. Again she was very nice and we all made small talk but since my wife was standing there she was trying to hurry. Is it necessary to have a table up next to the jukebox? Or could the waitress fill salt and peppers at that table? I ordered the Reuben which was good but lacking in meat but the fries are good. My wife ordered a white pizza and a day later the amount of garlic in it still lingers on her breath. We have included a picture of most of the large chunks of slightly cooked garlic in three pieces. We all tried it and it was shockingly overpowering with garlic. My father in law can't handle that much and needed his oxygen as soon as we got back to the house. She also ordered a margarita with no salt and it was made with salt, transferred to a new glass and brought to her. Her first sip was just a mouthful of salt that had settled on the bottom. She asked to return it and declined another one. The waitress was very nice about it and my father in law said if you're going to throw it away I'll take it. We did hope it to be taken off the bill but since he drank it they did not. He wouldn't have kept it if he knew because it wasn't very good he just tries not to waste. But I did notice the lady behind the bar glare at my wife when she passed by to go to the bathroom so it seems more out of spite that the mistake of the salt was noticed. I'm a chef and my wife has been a bartender and server for many years previously and we understand the HOSPITALITY industry. We are usually very lenient and still tipped our nice inexperienced server well. We did not feel overall hospitality here. By other reviews it seems that we caught an off night however we do not plan on coming back which is a shame because we really liked the decor and the 'ambassadors.' read more
