The food is great for the price. I love all of their soups, and burrito offerings. Their salsa is also fantastic, some of my favorite around. The best part is their salsa is only 5.25 for 32oz and comes with chips at their drive thru, you will not find a better deal anywhere. As a salsa love this pleases me immensely. Their staff are always great. I have been to mexican places where being white meant getting the poor treatment from my server, but I have always felt welcome here. The only down side i have ever experienced here is i wish the bar would be willing to make simple drinks that arent on the menu like a basic dirty martini, but aside from that their drink prices are good too. read more

First of all I had a party of 20 and i know people might say they are busy but they were not. I get there around 12:15 and don't get drinks until around 12:45 (when we order them) . then they proceed to take our order at around 12:55, and don't get our food until around 1:25. by then we have to hury and rush to get to the football fields to be there at 1:45. horrible staff and they do not know what they are doing.. read more

The chicken was a little dry because I think it was the breast rather than the thighs... The grilled onions helped with it a little bit, but overall, it was still a little dry for my taste. Ordered fajitas for 2, they were dry, texture felt as if they were cook chilled, very low quality. Berria tacos were gross, crispy tacos were more like soggy tacos. Crispy tacos broke apart into pieces from being so soggy. By the time my daughter put her hands on the 3rd taco she had to use a fork to eat it because the tortilla had broken down so much. As for the service, IT SUCKED!! Saw our waitress a few times, had to even get up and ask for the chips for the guacamole we ordered because we hadn't seen our waitress in over 10 minutes, and the resturant was not busy. I've been coming to Tequila Bar & Grill for years, but unfortunately my most recent experience was really disappointing. As prices have gone up, the quality of both the food and service seems to have gone down. I went through the drive-through and noticed that all of the pricing has been removed from the outside menu, which was already frustrating. I ordered two chicken tacos, something I've ordered many times before. In the past they came dressed with toppings, but this time I was given a plain flour tortilla with dry chicken. For $5, that's simply not acceptable. The service was also disappointing. The employee working the window was rude, and because of that I chose not to leave a tip. However, after I left, I noticed on my receipt vs charged on my cc that a tip had been added anyway, and the total does not match what I paid. I did call and speak to a manager, who said they would look into the situation. To make matters worse, when I got home I realized my order was incorrect as well, and there was no offer to remake the food. Sadly, after years of being a customer, we'll be making the drive to El Nuevo Restaurant instead, where the food quality and customer service are much better. read more

Food offerings were not what we expected. Prices were very high. Service was friendly and served very quickly.

Went back again and the service has not improved. We basically sat around before being able to order and after eating had to wait to flag down our waiter to get the bill. Once again the Jalapeño poppers were on fire but the rest of the meal was lackluster. I've now had five or six different main courses and have not found one that I enjoy as much as the poppers. Such a great local spot! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and family-oriented. The food was fantastic authentic Mexican food with so much flavor. The menudo was delicious, and my husband ordered tacos that were just as good. Service was wonderful as well. The owner's son was working and was incredibly sweet and attentive, which made the experience even better. You can really feel the pride and care that goes into this family owned restaurant. This is my new go to spot!! Drink specials are awesome, they taste good and are a good size. Food is also really good. We've had the cheese enchiladas, birria tacos, and el muneco plate. Ive been here a few times. Its right across the street from Teravista, the school I went to and near my former employer. 1st few times we had the lunch fajita special. pretty good but prices were a lot cheaper back then, lol. Had the fish tacos during lent. pretty good but needed a sauce, like an avocado crema or tomatillo sauce. My favorite thing here is the nachos with fajita meat. I've had the menudo a few times. but the best thing on the menu is the mexican martini. Before babies, my husband and i would share the nachos and have a few mexican martinis and call it a night. it was our favorite friday night deal. I've been coming to this place for a few years now, I ordered & wanted mild salsa or tomatillo, they are charging almost a dollar for your salsa that should come with the food. I'm not understanding why they're so greedy. They're making a ton of money . When you go through the drive-through, they prompt you to tip them at the drive-through if you pay with your debit or Apple Pay. Nobody should have to pay a tip for a drive-through just hand it to you through the window. It should be included with the price and no one should feel pressure to give them a tip. If you don't tip, I'm not sure what happens. read more

My second time here, the staff is always friendly and we get seated right away. The food and drink are great. Food is about $20 a plate but they're not stingy with the portions! The play some good Spanish music which I love. Been here 3x first time we moved near the area and stopped in with 9 ppl and had a good experience and good food. 2nd time we ordered fajitas to go and it was great food. 3rd time we had 9ppl walked in at 745pm on a Sunday, the girl possibly manager with the gray shirt was standing at podium didn't greet me , smile or do anything but look at me. When I told her how many she quickly pointed to another lady to assist me yet still no words from her. The lady came over long hair with glasses telling me it be about a 40 min wait as they were full and only had 2 servers. After about 5 min she came out to tell me that they couldn't seat us cause they closed at 9pm. I told her they will be missing out on several hundreds of dollars,we don't have to sit together just near by. She said to give her a few min to figure things out. Within 10min we were seated in a group table had good food and experience. But the lady in gray needs to be more helpful and at least a smile. I ordered the chicken enchiladas plate - this dish was supposed come with a taco which I never received but that wasn't what was the issue. I have Never ordered chicken enchiladas that were served with flour tortillas - chicken that looked and tasted pre frozen - like the bag of pre grilled cooked chicken from HEB with a spoonful of melted velvetta - rolled and then just covered in melted nacho cheese. I wasn't able to cut it with a fork the plate was super hot and the side of rice and beans was just bland. Wife's fajitas came with tons of meat and only a couple tortillas...weird. Food I would give 4 but service brought it down. Service we didn't get chips and salsa for a long while even after we had to ask for it. Never asked if we wanted refills in drinks. Really just uncaring and inattentive. My partner and I went for drinks and split a bowl pf soup. We were there a good long while, and there was no one in the bar area as it was around 4pm. The drinks were good, balanced and strong enough for the happy hour. We were in the bar, eating our snack and ordering drinks. We kept having to wave the server down - though she was behind the bar chatting up other staff. Now, every hard worker deserves a chill session without entitled customers snapping their fingers, but basic sever protocol in a timely fashion is to be expected. I said she could take the remaining soup but leave the chips and dips. She looked at me and dumped the dips on the chips and walked away with both. My guy and I laughed and were like "ooookaaayyy guess we didn't want those after all..." Still gave her a 25% tip because everyone can have an off day and deserves a living wage. First the good news...the atmosphere is wonderful. The greeting that we received when we arrived was very friendly, and the initial service was fast and very pleasant. Chips and salsa were delivered promptly, and while the chips were a bit thick for my taste, the salsa was excellent. We were there for lunch, and the food came out very quickly, and looked great. Unfortunately, that's the extent of the good news. I had a chicken quesadilla, beef tostada and beef taco. All of them were very attractive, and each of them was downright boring. Everything was bland and underseasoned. Even that yummy salsa couldn't save them. My SH had the cheese enchilada, and it appeared to have been filled with Velveeta. She always gets a to-go box for leftovers, and neither one of us wanted one for this meal. They had draft Modelo, which came out after I'd finished about half my meal, and didn't seem as good as the draft version I've had in the past...maybe it was just the food that was accompanying it. We really wanted to like the Tequila Bar, and it wasn't "bad", but there's just no reason to go back. Not recommended (for food at least). read more
