This is my first time reviewing but I've been to Veracruz a bunch of times when they had a location in the Travis county courthouse! Tacos are filling and flavorful! And ALWAYS cooked FFRESH! Also for my pescatarians or vegetarians there's options so you can enjoy tacos like everyone else and they taste just as good. I only take one star off because the cashier didn't give me the furiosa, she gave me el differente which is still good but the furiosa is my favorite and the tables were not cleaned or wiped off, but I get it they were extremely busy for lunch. I tried coming in a few times didn't end up ordering. I've been to the one at the food park near lady bird lake that one is always fantastic. So got a steak taco, barbacoa taco and a chicken quesadilla. The staff was extremely nice. I explained I couldn't have any cross contamination with pork she made sure the kitchen knew, which was greatly appreciated. So the barbacoa was ok, steak was very good and the chicken in the quesadilla was probably my least favorite only because I'm not sure if it's meant to be grilled, fried or simmered. But the chicken seemed like it was boiled then put in the quesadilla and fried on the flat top which would have been fine but the chicken seemed quite dry. Maybe I came in at a bad time not sure because when I had it at the truck I was dreaming about it for weeks so maybe it was just not my day but over all it wasn't bad and the 3 star is more because my expectations were set based on the other location. I am definitely going to be back to chase that first time flavor again but this time it just missed the mark unfortunately. read more

A great variety of juices, tacos, and coffee that are fresh and made to order. They even have a breakfast taco option where you can build your own. I have to admit, at first when I opened the bag and seen how small the tacos were wrapped I was disappointed and thought, no way did I just pay $6 for a super small taco I could finish in one bite?! BUT let me tell you, don't let the small packaging fool you, the tacos are larger than they seem! Coffee was so so, the smoothie was fantastic and tacos are good. I stopped in for coffee in the morning right when the opened. I opted for an iced vanilla latte. It was the perfect level of ice which didn't leave my drink watery and just enough in-house vanilla syrup to give it flavor but didn't make it too sweet. It was so good I decided to order lunch later in the day as my new work location is in the area. I ordered a fish taco and a migas taco both in flour. Both tacos were really good, flavorful, and stuffed full! Each taco was $6 so kind of steep but considering the generous filling I wasn't too mad about it. The fish taco however did have a soggy tortilla, I imagine if I would have actually taken it to-go it would have been disintegrating. I'm not sure why it was so soggy. The migas taco had a perfect amount of corn tortilla and avacado to balance out the amount of eggs. The salsa was got I got the "hot" & didn't find it overly spicy . I ordered another coffee after lunch due to my expierence earlier in the day however it wasn't near as good as the one I had that morning so I was slightly disappointed. -1 star for the soggy tortilla and the inconsistent coffee. Establishment is small and everything is made fresh, in house so you shouldn't expect this to be a fast paced experience when ordering food but they do try and get things out as quickly as possible. I have been wanting to try this place forever because so many of friends insist this is one of their favorite taco places to go to. And I was not disappointed! It was a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of everything was decent. The al pastor taco was flavored well but I do wish the meat was a different shape. I think I'm more used to al pastor with the meat shaved off a huge chunk instead of getting chunks of meat so it was a little harder to eat and not as tender. But I was a bigger fan of the grilled fish taco. I was a little worried the fish itself wouldn't have flavor but I was happy to see that the fish was grilled with the skin one which added a nice saltiness and crispiness. And the fish was pretty plentiful and not dry at all. The salsas are also so delicious! And the aguas frescas were okay but definitely a lot more expensive than I thought they would be. During our recent trip to the Austin area, our friend said we absolutely had to try the breakfast tacos at Veracruz - he was not wrong! Hubs had the El Tradicional Taco with bacon, egg, cheese and potato (no refried beans), and I had the migas taco because I'd heard so much about it! Both were delicious and so filling. I'm obsessed with Veracruz and was really sad when I discovered it at the Line Hotel and noticed all the locations are in South Austin. However, my best friend came to visit me this weekend and we were in the mood for breakfast tacos...I had to recommend Veracruz. This location is up North, and it's actually only 11 minutes away from me! So worth the drive. It's a very clean establishment, and I love that you can refill your own salsa. I love their green salsa. I ordered the shrimp macha taco on flour, which is my favorite taco there. I honestly get full off of just one, and I'll always get another to save for later. I usually try to order their agua frescas because they're huge and filled with so much fruit, but I really could not finish a 32oz. I opted for one of their smoothies instead, and it was really delicious. I could taste how fresh the orange juice was because of how bitter it was. The taco came out super fresh, and I asked for the other to be wrapped up. Staff was kind enough to put my taco by the heater, and she told me to grab it when I left. Delicious tacos from a place with an extensive menu. Only a couple of them were vegan so I tried those two. The El Differente was more of a standard taco with its ingredients, but the Furioso was more unique and my favorite of the two. It indicated that would be spicy, but I don't think it was overly spicy. It was definitely messy with all of the red oil, so have plenty of napkins ready. I tried both the red and green sauces that are available at the counter. The green reminded me of Doña sauce, and the red one was definitely spicy and my favorite. Unfortunately, the prices are not listed on the menu, but my tacos were both $6 each. I think I would pay that again for the Furioso taco, but not for the El Differente since it is more basic. I did wish my tacos had more avocado. I would hope I'd get at least get two slices of avocado if that's one of the ingredients. This location had a good stream of people at 2 PM on a Saturday. There's not a lot of indoor seating so I imagine tables fill up fast during peak hours. Even though they were busy, my food came out in a few minutes. read more

Skip it. The manager is always rude and gets every order wrong. Last time, I explained that I'm deathly allergic to mushrooms, so guess what I got? La Reyna tacos with mushrooms. I asked him to remake the tacos with a nice attitude and you would have thought I harmed his firstborn. This time, I told him 3 times no mushrooms and he acted like that was weird. I put quarters in the tip jar as he was completing my purchase. He said thank you, noting the quarters. Then, instead of giving me my change from the transaction, he put it in the tip jar, on top of the quarters I'd already put in. Who does that? We bus our own tables, get our own napkins and silverware, and walk up to get our order. I just want to know who you think you are? I was speechless and didn't dare say a word, fearing what he'd do to my food if I did. Pro-Tip: never pay in cash. Last time, I ordered a watermelon Fresca and had to walk up to remind them. This time, I ordered a watermelon Fresca and it never came out. The same manager was very attentive to a couple who speak his language and came out to ask if this was their Fresca that had been sitting on the counter. They told him no and he very reluctantly turned around to figure out who it could belong to. He realized it was mine and copped an attitude as he handed it to me, like he was going out of his way or something. It turned out to be strawberry with rancid tasting strawberries I ended up throwing out. I didn't bother to tell him I ordered watermelon. Someone else called him the Soup Nazi and that's a good description. Done forever. You don't even have a unique flavor like TacoDeli and Torchy's. Lose the attitude and maybe you won't have to steal our money for your tip jar. Oh, and just because we don't speak your language doesn't mean we have to feel this unwelcome. read more

I came here today 30 minutes after they opened. I read most of the reviews and was prepared for the staff to be mean, but I was surprised as the staff was actually nice. They weren't overly friendly but definitely not rude at all! I like how the cashier gave me time to look at the menu and didn't stand at the register waiting for me to be ready to order. She waited until I came to the counter to walk over. I was the only one in the restaurant, but they did have customers coming in for pickup. It was very cold inside. Plenty of seats and tables. There was a less homey vibe than other Mexican restaurants I've been to. The food only took 13 minutes to be ready. The tacos were amazing and very fully! The red sauce was so good and the green sauce wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. I am super satisfied with the proportions compared to the price. I will definitely be back! read more

ATMOSPHERE: We came in at 9:30 on a Sunday morning. There was a few people in the restaurant. We had a party of 11 and after we all placed our orders they informed us that it would take 30-45min. They definitely picked up around 9:45 so if you wanna come for breakfast, come early. DRINKS: Coffee- hot, very fresh home brew with a nutty aftertaste. Agua de Jamaica- Perfectly brewed, just the right amount of sweetness and very refreshing. Kombucha- Mango y Limón flavor. Wow! So freakin delicious!!! They actually have their own brand. Low sugar too which is a huge plus. I loved the taste and would definitely get it again! Mr. Verde - more foam than actual juice itself, a little chunky. It would taste better if it was strained out a little bit or had more liquid. APPETIZERS: Chips & Credo Vegan Queso- 10/10 HOT and super tasty. Can't tell that it's vegan. I can confirm that the chips are very fresh and taste like actual tortillas and not super processed at all. Guacamole- 10/10 has onion, tomato, avocado, & lime. Super simple and fresh! Breakfast Taco - 10/10 really good. I initially ordered corn tortilla but they gave me flour but I'm not mad-it was so fresh and fluffy. The bacon and egg & beans were fresh and delicious. TLDR; pretty authentic and fresh AUTHENTIC Tex-Mexican food that has tons of healthy and VEGAN options that can accommodate alternative diets. I've been to this location several times and each time I haven't been disappointed. The food is always cooked to order with the freshest ingredients. I had the bacon,egg and cheese taco as well as a chicken taco. Both were amazing. The restaurant was a little cold on the day I went but there is plenty of seating if you want to dine in. Veracruz has always been one of my go to places for breakfast tacos as they are consistently good. Sadly, that streak has now been broken by my experience today at this location. We put in an order for food to feed 8 people at 11:38 AM however our food wasn't ready till almost 1 PM! With 2 kids in tow they couldn't handle the wait so we ended up taking them home and went back to pick up the rest of our party once the food was ready. Luckily we were able to get the chips/salsa and agua fresca before the tacos to help limit the hanger. The chips were tasty as they are more like tortillas that have been deep fried. The agua fresca was a bit too sweet but still refreshing. However when it came to their tacos it was a bit of a letdown. I typically enjoy the migas tacos the most but these were kinda a glob of mush slapped together. The barbacoa one was under seasoned as well and had an interesting aftertaste. The al pastor, I got lucky with a piece of bacon that was super crunchy and this taco had more flavor. However overall the tacos we had today were just not as good as other locations. In addition to the atrocious wait time with no apology, we also had to play taco roulette as nothing was labeled. The cherry on top was that despite ordering corn tortillas for some tacos we only received one on corn. The lack of corn tortillas was also never communicated to us, which is frustrating especially if you can't eat flour tortillas due to health reasons. TL/DR I might suggest avoiding this location until they make some major improvements. Otherwise be prepared for long wait times, incorrect orders, and taco roulette. This is the taco spot I think about when I'm day dreaming about taco perfection. The breakfast tacos (el tradicional and El breakfast with bacon and chorizo) are to die for. Splash of the jalapeño verde salsa and this is a breakfast I could eat multiple times a week anytime of day. With everything you can taste the freshness and the quality of the ingredients they use. The steak and chicken tacos are both great, and no trip to veracruz is complete without AT LEAST one of their steak tacos. Well, given that there aren't that many yummy breakfast taco spots in Cedar Park we were so excited to try this place. Each breakfast taco ranges $4-$5 and are pretty good size. We had the following: Migas Originales, Migas Poblanas, Lar Reyna, Barbacoa & El Tradicional. My top favorite was Migas Poblanas & Hubs top favorite was their Barbacoa taco. Their green salsa is great and red salsas is amazing but watch out it's on the spicier side. Each taco is individually wrapped in a foil and they put a little cute sticker that tells you what it is which is a nice touch. The location is super clean and the workers were very nice. Best tacos in all of the ATX area and there's some serious contenders, so that's saying something! I wish they'd build a brick and mortar like this in Dripping Springs, Buda, Leander and everywhere in between. You really can't go wrong with anything, but I tend to get the La Reyna on corn and Migas Poblano with either an Aqua Fresca Horchata or Watermelon. And the veggies are fresh and the regular tomato salsa with avocado pieces is what I wish most taco places believed in. Aqua Frescas are the best I've ever had. The horchata is such a nice treat. Service is fast and friendly. Pro-tip: go closer to 1 pm to easily get a table and tacos within 5-7 min. Please consider bringing back the pre-covid Chile Relleno taco. It was your best of all. I love Veracruz All Natural so I was excited to see one up in the Round Rock area since I drive my little one to school up there. Unfortunately this was is not as great as the other locations. SERVICE Service was poor. I walked in ooking very confused as to where to order and, while I was clearly in sight, was not greeted for 3ish minutes. FOOD My taco was mighty tasty. I got the poblano migas and I'd order it again. I also ordered a green juice (I want to say it was called Mr. Verde or something). It was nice but sort of room temperature and a little too think to really hit the spot. I wouldn't order it again. VIBE The set-up is strange and I couldn't see myself hanging for a while with friends. The tables/chairs are only semi-comfortable and they feel sort of in the way if that makes sense. I was able to get some work done on my laptop while I was sitting there but had to sign-in to the Chase wifi. I don't know if they just didn't have wifi or if I needed to ask for the password but the service was so poor that I didn't try. PARKING It's in a strip mall sort of things so parking was easy. FOR PARENTS If you brought a stroller in here, yu'd probably feel like it's in the way. For kids beyond stroller age, I think you'd be good.
