Chicken Mole taco on corn. I had them leave the pickled onions off.

Awesome tacos, house made tortillas. While they have only been open for two weeks, we were told that the Birria was sold out for the third time. The chicken mole tacos are my favorite so far. The Pezcador a very close second. This former location for Frankie's Pizza has been completely renovated and had a very open and inviting decor. Full liquor license on the wall. The frozen margaritas are very good.

Amazing tacos, service, and prices. FINALLY, a good taco spot in Georgetown. Something besides fast food fried chicken. We ordered the chicken asada, chicken mole, and Birra. All amazing flavors and packed full of meat. They make their corn and flour tortillas in house and they are THE BEST! Love the idea they have of the 1/2 order of guacamole and queso with chips especially when it's just 1-2 people. Their chips are even perfect, not greasy at all and have a hint of lime. We will definitely be back, this is #1 for tacos in Georgetown. Feels great to support this family owned business.

    Cachete

Have had just about everything on the menu at this point because the food reminds me of Sunday lunch around my Abuelita's table. If I knew then what I know now, I would order : - Chicken Tinga - Rafitas Birria - Cachete - Menudo with hominy add in - Mole (wife's favorite) - Asada (son's favorite)

Awesome new place in Georgetown! Located in the old Frankie's pizza place, Urban Taco is a great entry into the Georgetown taco scene! Homemade tortillas, meats prepared fresh daily, creative tacos & friendly service hit a homerun! They have a full bar & a big screen TV too!

Service was spot on! Food was amazing. The home made flour tortillas were so good. Will need to go back to try their margaritas.

My husband and I are already interested after one visit in checking out pricing for possibly renting out the space for an event of our own. The bathrooms are gender neutral BUT when you go in there the different stall doors have only one label, guys or gals, on the door which is very confusing to people entering the bathroom or waiting for stalls and thinking maybe the guys labeled stall only has a urinal or something but they're all the same toilet. It has a very classy, purposefully dated look but was extremely cleaned and well maintained. They also have free guest Wi-Fi. The cocktails are a little pricey for the area, but the venue space and the quality of the drinks were well worth the price. They actually have a quite expansive menu of drink options as well. Definitely needs more seating options for the drink window area if they plan on having more open hours days for people to randomly come in and enjoy a specially crafted drink. I can't wait to see what this place turns into!

The environment inside the restaurant was warm and welcoming. There was a stand outside Georgie's restaurant taking drink orders to go. Other than downtown Austin, I was not aware where you could drink adult beverages outside a restaurant or bar. We ordered a crab cake, Georgie's margarita and a frozen margarita. The drinks were refreshing after being in the sun for a bit. The crab cake was good but could have used a little less mayonnaise. We started with the George Margarita and the specialty spritzer with gin, both were tasty and not too sweet. In addition to the ceviche, oysters and crab claws. No oyster options, they had Texas east coast farmed which were ok, not too large or small with a sweetness. The ceviche was missing something so I added salt and that did the trick but the accompanying chips were . They had no flavor and a stale consistency ‍ maybe that was the intent. The crab claws were a little fishy and had way too much broth but overall weren't bad, maybe 3/5. For entrees I decided to go smash burger and fried shrimp/oyster basket. Smash burger was well prepared, I swapped fries with broccolini. The fried seafood was a miss. The batter was similar to an unseasoned tempura and the hush puppies were very doughy, that dish is a pass. I'd return but will stick with appetizers or the burger but if I'm craving seafood there definitely are better options even if that means going outside of Georgetown.

That hint of chocolate bitterness sneaking in like it has secrets it's not ready to share. Strong, confident, and completely unbothered -- the kind of drink that doesn't raise its voice because it doesn't have to. No unnecessary frills. No overcomplicated theatrics. Just a perfectly crafted cocktail that respects tradition but adds a little dark, sultry wink. It lingers just long enough to make you lean in for another sip. 10/10. Grumpy never tasted so good -- and I wouldn't mind getting into trouble with it again. The bar itself? Classy without being stuffy. The kind of place where you can show up dressed up or dressed down and still feel like you belong. Dim lighting, great vibe, zero pretension. I'll absolutely be back, service was stellar. We needed a table outside and not all tables have an umbrella. Today was an exceptionally hot day and no one would just sit comfortably in the sun. The servers were super sweet and friendly. Most of them came and pet our mini poodle. They also bought water off the dog when asked. The biggest was quite eclectic. There were cookies and round rock donuts, then there were fruits and 2 types of pastas and broccoli with cranberry . (Cold) friend fish, fried chicken, seasonal veggies, mash potatoes, baked mac and cheese. Lots of meat options I didn't check. Over all the place was bustling. The food was okay. Drink was okay. The buffet comes with pancakes or waffles. We were told for pancakes you have option of plain, blueberry or chocolate chip. I ordered chocolate chip and then found a charge of $1.50 for that on the bill. Would like to not have been offered that or be told there was a charge. Then they charged us for 4 adult buffets and that we got fixed because we had 2 kids under 12 with us.
