They do SMOKED meats. I didn't read the reviews prior because I was just trying to find something open and nearby to order a quick dinner pick-me-up. I didn't realize they only do normal tacos on Tuesdays! The menu another Yelper posted on here didn't mention that in their photo so that was my mistake. The guy working the truck gave me some recommendations since I was bummed about not having the normal street tacos. I ordered the smoked al pastor and brisket vaquero; same thing for hubby also ordered him the TX smoked tri-tip, which ended up being his favorite! I don't enjoy smoked meats as much but the flavor was still delicious nonetheless. It's located in "downtown" Leander with a few other food trucks nearby. read more

Wow I didn't think I would be back so soon but beyond happy I did. I decided to stop by on Sunday (Mother's Day) and ordered three brisket steak tacos with a cheese crust shell. To my surprise I was also given a free elote side for mother day. Let's just say I am beyond fortunate they did that as it has to be the best smoked elote cup o have ever had in my life. The flavor streamed from the closed container and floored me. The brisket tacos were phenomenal and such a great Smokey flavor as well as texture. I can't not wait for the next visit. I was messaging with a with a former coworker about some other food places. He asked if I'd tried here yet. I hadn't, but the menu sounded appealing. I stopped in for lunch this week. The trailer is right next to Night Owl Bar Leander. There's a decent amount of outdoor seating under a large canopy. I asked if I could get the street tacos with one of each. All three of the tacos were great: good portions and great flavors. They came with a small side of chips and different salsas. That was perfect because these tacos came loaded. I had some chips to eat up the parts that felt out. The pork al pastor was my favorite. That's likely what I would order from now on, but everyone has different tastes. I LOVE Mexican food, which means it's hard to impress me if it's not finger licking good. Today I licked my fingers a lot because I had the best cheese (& bean lol) quesadilla I've ever had! Since I'm mostly pescatarian and no longer eat pork, chicken or beef my selections were limited. I could choose between Nachos and the Dilla and I chose the Dilla. I asked the owner Andy if he could add beans so I could still get my protein in for the day and he kindly obliged. I left to go walk my dog and came back to my food being ready with some small samples of queso and guacamole to boot. Between stickers and dog talk, Andy served up some great customer service. I really appreciated it, because sadly it's kinda lacking these days. Not here though! The quesadilla looked so appetizing and I could hardly wait to eat it. I had to though, because I needed to jump into a work meeting when I got back home. The quesadilla was well packed and still warm when I got off the meeting. The flavors were sooooo good they perked up my taste buds! I liked the queso which a lot which was nice and creamy and the guacamole was good, it had a nice tangy taste. Needless to say, I've found my new spot for a quick "I don't feel like cooking but want something delicious" meal. I'll definitely be back soon. Yum would be an understatement! read more

Just might be some of the best tacos I've ever had. I first heard about TTIE on Yelp, and after trying it for the first time awhile back, I've eaten here at least once per week. The tacos are that good. I could eat the smoked tri tip tacos every single day and not get tired of them! Cooked perfectly, great smokey flavor, and healthy portion size. I like to eat so I usually get 2 or 3 tacos. I always get them on a flour tortillas and pay a little extra to have the cheese toasted on the tortilla-it's so worth it! Great selection of other smoked meats including pork, chicken, brisket, and on occasion they'll have shrimp which is also fantastic. Service is always good and the food truck is located outside of the night owl bar. Plenty of places to sit and parking along the street. Give this spot a try-you won't regret it!! read more

This place is a great option for the Leander area. It is a unique blend of BBQ and Mexican style tacos. We went for the chicken Al pastor tacos and nachos. The chicken had a very Smokey flavor and the portions were huge. The chips were a bit soggy by the time we got home but they were quality nachos. The chicken thigh Al pastor tacos weren't my favorite but they were pretty good. I think the chicken needed to be chopped smaller as they were huge chunks of meat and it made it a bit more difficult to eat. But good flavor overall. I think I would go with the suadero or carnitas next time. I'm very tempted to try the esquites next time as well. Staff was super kind and helpful ! The ambience is fantastic as it is a food truck attached to a great bar. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I saw a couple of reviews talk about the pastor tacos so I went specifically to try those. The ordering experience was great. I am the worst with names but the guy was super friendly. I told him I heard their pastor tacos were good. He walked me through a couple options. Super professional and pleasant. I ended up with the pastor tacos street style, everything else normal but with cheese as well. I wasn't totally sure if I made the right choice including cheese but ... Woah! Those were best tacos I have had in a long time. That pastor, it's ... yea I am definitely going back. I think they caramelize the pineapple too. Loaded for street tacos, no skimping here. My only struggle now is do I get pastor again because I really wanna try something else but damn that pastor is so good. I will just tell them that and I bet I can get a pastor on the side. Go here! Food truck is outside of the Night Owl Bar, Leander. Ample covered, outdoor seating w/misting fans provided relief from the heat. Safe, friendly, family atmosphere on a Sunday night. Tacos are delicious! Tried the Cowboy Taco and brisket Street Tacos. I was impressed by the large amount of meat. Brisket was cooked to perfection. The additional toppings were fresh and on point. The corn tortillas made the perfect vessel. Both the red and green tasted homemade. Tacos were so good that I went back on Thursday evening. Same welcoming environment. Ordered the Al Pastor taco. Pork was marinated and cooked to perfection. Again, generous portion of meat. The grilled pineapple was cut smaller than the meat which I appreciated. It's obvious that a lot of thought was put into the structure of the taco. Best tacos I've had in years!! Plus, the owner and his brother are so polite and friendly. I watched them interact with customers. Every person they spoke with left smiling.
