This very popular restaurant was pretty busy again last night. We had to wait about 30 minutes. To actually get a seat and our server Ray was great. He took our order quickly and the food was served within about 10 minutes once we were seated. We had a couple of drinks with our meal. I had the taco platter while my friend had the Enchilada platter. Lots of food with as my friend quoted, "Explosive Flavor". Yes the food is pretty good. Thus maybe why it is so busy! There is both indoor and outdoor seating with a large oval bar in the midst of the indoor area. Lupe's is good for all, young, old and even kids! Come one, come all, just come! Thank you Lupe. read more

The kitchen and bar are impressive, and the waitstaff has been great 97% of the time. Love Lupe! But Sundays at this location are the worst. The manager is this tiny clueless guy that literally slides around being pointless. Probably one of the worst things I've seen in a restaurant is one of the hostesses (merrow i believe?? Buzz cut hair) was literally digging for gold picking her nose while putting people on a waitlist. Honestly insane. Any other day of the week, in my experience has been great. Sundays are not where it's at for this location. read more

1. Clean(er) establishment than those surrounding it. 2. Wait staff isn't great. They could've been more personable. 3. Food is gross. Queso tastes like velveeta with Kraft singles melted with a handful of chopped tomatoes. Just terrible. The salsa that came out with chips (thin and flavorless) was sweet and almost had a chutney taste. The bean dip was very watery. So unappetizing to eat. Ordered burritos and a salad.. The burritos had the same gross cheese and the ground beef was unflavored. The flour tortillas were thick and hard. The salad was okay. It really wasn't worth coming back for. Table water was gross, lots of floating particles. It states it's Mexican food, but it tastes very whitewashed. Definitely does not have the authentic flavors of true Mexican food. Needs salt at the very least. Do not recommend if you're craving authentic Mexican food. read more

simply cannot beat their chicken fajitas! Can get really crowded, don't hesitate to take a seat up at the bar if it's just a party of two great service from the bartender! The manager has always come by every visit to check on our service. Loved the salsa and beans that they deliver with your chips. read more

Used to come here every Sunday morning. It has gone down in terms of service recently. Food quality is still good. Seems like management has changed. Took them ten minutes to seat us when the place was almost empty. Girl had to study the computer screen.....lmao.. read more

Just passable today. Not going to hurry back. Much different atmosphere and significantly reduced lunch crowd than prior visits. Ordered queso appetizer and 2 different lunch specials. Queso was flavorless and had to ask for different basket of chips since most were small broken pieces or saturated with oil. Ick! Green enchiladas were supposed to be filled with chicken and cheese. Chicken used to be shredded and moist. These were tiny cubes and no cheese inside. Looked highly processed. Rice was flavorless. No refried beans. Highlight was spicy green sauce. Other entree had beef tamale, enchilada and taco with rice and beans. Taco would have been great if the shell wasn't stale. Tamale was very dried out inside and enchilada was just ok. Service was adequate. read more

My friend and I sat at the bar and were severed by Sarah, she was phenomenal! It was a busy night and she was the only bar tender for the whole restaurant. She was very attentive, made great drinks and was laughing with us. We had a verbal altercation with two men sitting next to us, she helped put an end to it and made us feel safe. read more

So whenever I'm in town, we like to go to this place because they have the best fajitas in town. I haven't been for a couple years and last week we went when we were visiting my sister-in-law in town. First of all, they don't take reservations and so you have to be ready to wait at least 45 minutes to hour for a Friday night. So just be ready to wait. It's not a big deal. You can go to the bar and order a drink in my case I ordered water cause it was so hot outside cause we had to wait outside, and it was fine. There was four of us eating dinner and we paid a lot of money for dinner. I think it's way overpriced for what you get. I think we paid over $185 We didn't even order alcohol. I went with the fajita salad and it was just OK. The chicken was cold and it wasn't sizzling fajitas from what I expected to be on top of the salad. So that was a three out of five for me. I understand the food prices have gone up everywhere, but this just seemed too ridiculous for what you got. For the fajitas , I think the lowest price is $40 and goes to $65/$75 which I think is crazy cause I can go to a nice steakhouse and get a nice steak for that much and they are good, but I don't think they're worth that much good. And the chips are not great. They have no flavor and they were just not good at all. So I would say overall, we liked our food, but it wasn't anything wow and it definitely was not worth the price. I don't mind spending a lot of money on food if the quantity in the quality is good, but yeah, I would pass on this next time. I'm in town, unfortunately. read more

The service here is dogshat. We use to dine in but again this service was horrible so we started doing carry out. Well that was also horrible too because they were always missing things on the order. If I'm spending 70-100 dollars for food plus tip, I would expect you to hire competent people. All they're going to serve you here is a big heap is disappointment. Pick yerself up a pack of fajitas from HEB and a cast iron pan make your own stuff at home. read more

I came to this Lupe Tortilla (4501 183A Toll Road), on July 29, 2026, around 11:15 AM to celebrate my mother's birthday. We have been to this location many times, but this was a completely terrible experience that ruined our celebration. Our server was unfriendly, incredibly slow and ignored our table the entire time. We never received a single refill from her until we asked a different server that passed our table. He was very friendly and apologetic and made sure we received refills immediately. I believe his name was Daniel, and if we decide to eat at this location in the future, we will be requesting Daniel for our server. The worst part was finding a hair in our queso. Our server asked if we wanted a fresh queso. Of course we wanted a fresh queso. We were not going to eat the one with hair in the queso. The server didn't even take the contaminated queso off our bill at the time. Because I was on a limited lunch break, I couldn't wait around to speak to a manager in person, so I called this location about an hour later. When I spoke with the manager, he knew exactly which server I was talking about, but he did absolutely nothing to fix the issue. He even told me he was the one who replaced the queso so he knew there was a problem. The manager did not offer to comp the queso, give us a complimentary queso on a future visit or any other compensation, simply saying he would "speak with our server". Finding hair in your food is gross, but the management's complete lack of care is terrible business. read more

We usually order enchiladas verdes when we come here. We love the salsa and the little bowl of complimentary beans. The chips are excellent and the queso compuesto rivals the Bob dip at Matt's El Rancho. The refried beans here are above average. The chicken is tender and tasty and their tomatillo sauce is not spicy, which pleases my wife's palate. I always order an extra bowl of tomatillo sauce because there is never enough as it is just ladled over the enchiladas. This particular visit wasn't up to their usual standards. The tomatillo sauce was a little bitter. This is the first time we've experienced the slight bitterness. We will be going back though. read more

This place is hard not to love, the food is amazing and honestly the beef fajitas are the best in the area. I really wish they offered a more authentic salsa but the bean dip is so good. The queso recipe seems to have changed but it's mostly solid. The only place lacking is the service and it's been like this since covid. The menus is far too large to realistically run an efficient kitchen. The bar is always the best seat in the house and I highly recommend ordering your top shelf margaritas only from the tall hip gentleman! read more

Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant - Queso, top shelf margaritas - Tex-Mex Near Me - Cedar Park, Texas

This Cedar Park Lupe Tortilla is a picturesque establishment. The best item on the menu is the fajitas. If you're looking for a full fajitas feast - this is the place! The green beans are also good. At one time Lupe Tortilla was classy Tex-Mex. However, note that this is an extremely noisy place. It's not good for chatting, romance, or avoiding a headache and not so classy these days. But no worries, the prices do remain upscale. Not even the bar area is immune from exceptional noise. During my most recent visit, the two tables closest to ours featured a couple and child with blaring media and an individual angrily shouting interactively on speaker phone - both for the entire meal. This is great because you can avoid pesky table talk amongst your own group! Finally, if you enjoy non-fajita dishes that are so hot they should be classified as a controlled substance, this is the place for you! Be ready to feel like crying while feeling that your face may melt off. Maybe if really lucky, when asked, the server may disappear into the abyss to retrieve bar napkins instead of making the 5-foot treck to the bar. This would allow for fully visible face melting - why not entertain your table mates! Further, if veggie is your thing, and you enjoy corn on the cob after asking for veggies - this is also the place. Enjoy this with a standard knife. A sharp knife is just too easy. So, come for the festive themed environment and stay for the noisy, corn faced, leaking orifice entertainment. You won't be alone because the Walmart people are here too! read more

The service was not good. Waited at the door for a good amount of time, while two hostesses cleaned menus and ignored the two different parties in line just standing there! Ended up leaving after the wait without acknowledgment of people in line. read more

From out of town, entire table fed, my meal was missed. Lobster tacos, can't take long to make, literally my entire table ate their meal still never arrived. You can get 12 enchiladas from here from $20-$27 depending on if you get just cheese or meat in them. This is a great last meal prep if it's just you and you don't feel like cooking for a few days. Cook up some rice and beans at home (in addition to the small side of complimentary charro beans and salsa they usually give) and you're good for 3-4 days! I love Tex-Mex so i've been here several times now and was only disappointed once, however I ordered something way out of my usual palate that time so it was expected. I love their salsa and chips, as well as the charro beans. Large menu, lots of variety and customization options. Great food! read more

Lupe used to be my favorite fajitas. Ordered to go at least every 3 weeks. This location has always had bad take out service compared to other locations we have frequented. 15 min means an hour and 15 min wait for food. Food was always great but today even after waiting for food the fajitas were tough and over salty Not worth the $65 for a lb for sure. read more

Lupe never disappoints ! This place has always been a good to go place for tex-mex food. Came in on a Saturday afternoon, even though they were busy but we got seated pretty soon. Drinks are always great . Food is good and the portions are huge ! Sometime the service can be a bit slow depending on the hour of the day . Our server was attentive I would say ! One thing to note if you are a vegetarian: They rice contains the chicken broth and keep an eye on salsa one of them had some meat last time I visited ! Overall a good place for lunch, with enough parking spots around . They also have a great outdoor patio if it's open . read more

Their vegetarian menu sucks!!! All they have is mushrooms... Their shrimp and enchiladas are the only things I can eat there.

I ordered two ala cart enchiladas along with a chalupa for take out. It was unbelievable when I opened up what was thrown in to serve and darn near cold when the ride is about 15 min home. No sauce whatsoever on the enchiladas at all. Just because it's to go you shouldn't serve trash to people. If you wouldn't serve it to your customers face, then don't serve it to go. read more

I was having my oil changed nearby and saw that they served breakfast here. I was attended to immediately from the hostess in the nearly empty restaurant. The music was a little too loud for this early in the morning , but I'm sure it's a pre set volume. I was attended to by Linda who is the real star of this restaurant. She is an authentic nice person who actually talks to you and not just takes an order. I felt like she was really taking care of me. Lots of great breakfast choices but I settled on the Chilaquiles. The dish came in a small cast iron dish and a side plate with potatoes and a cup of refried beans. The meal Arrived and it looked fantastic! The taste was great and it was a little spicy, just the way I ordered it. The only issue was that the first layer of chips, with the sauce , cheese, chicken and eggs were delicious ( pic 1). The bottom layers of chips were a little soggy and lacking in sauce (pic 2). It worked out actually because I was all ready full and didn't need to eat it all. The potatoes were good but the beans were a little cool. I think the dish would be better on a bigger plate. All in all, I know this is a chain restaurant but the flavors were all here and Linda really made this place shine. I will be back to try other dishes read more

The Black Barrel Margarita is a must-try definitely my favorite drink on the menu. The food and service are always on point, no matter how busy they get. The beef fajitas are amazing! Nothing compares in my opinion. Drinks are great but thank goodness I don't drink anymore. This place is freaking EXPENSIVE! I visited Lupe Tortilla while in Austin. My friend and I went to brunch. So I didn't actually have a tortilla lol. We split two meals, Texas benedict and banana waffles. The Texas benedict was delicious with biscuits and sausage gravy as well as eggs. If you're looking for something to fill you up this is it! The banana waffles were full of yummy goodness. Again, another filling meal. I would absolutely recommend brunch! But if you're going to split meals I suggest splitting one meal and not two;) We sat at the bar and service was a little slow because they were slammed. But our bartender was friendly and tried his best. But they obviously needed at least one more bartender. If we hadn't sat at the bar we would have waited an hour for a table. read more

Well, we have tried this place 5 times. Hope g it gets better. But EVERY single time is the same or worse. Time to get the food 40' or more, I mean how hard is it to make rice?
