Have been here a couple of times and the food and service have been consistently good. So far, I've gotten the Chicken Tortilla Soup and the Pabellón Plate (with chicken), and both were great. The chicken was not dry and the portions left me full. Plenty of menu options as well. The staff are warm, welcoming, and accommodating (we came with a group of 6 and they got us situated right away). My husband and I came here for dinner and we decided to sit outside. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered their single taco with al pastor shrimp, which was an extra $2.99 and lime/guac for an extra 50 cents (on top of the single taco, which was $4.50). My husband ordered their burrito, which came with chips and a cheese dip on the side. Their shrimp was good; nothing special. I did ask to try aleida's sauce, which many people liked on yelp, but we liked their green sauce the most! Overall, very cute and colorful restaurant; loved all the decor. The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. My taco wasn't worth more than $5, tbh, and we paid close to $9..given it was shrimp, but we've had much better shrimp tacos elsewhere for less. This place is absolutely terrible. Seriously. I never leave bad reviews for places but this place seriously needs to be avoided at all costs. Terrible service and food. The eggs Benedict that I had to pay 13 for was cold and plastic like on dry sourdough bread. The hollandaise sauce was two small puddles on the side of the bread instead of coated on top... arugula just on the side all dry and cold and didn't even look washed. It's bad y'all. I went for Mother's Day for a nice day out with some friends and I'm not a mother yet but good Lord I felt second hand embarrassment for the staff here if this is what Mother's get for their sacrifice. A hostess actually said "you should have told me" about where we sat. It was ridiculous. We literally waited 45 minutes. I could have and should have driven home in that time. It was so stupid. Hidden gem! Food here is wonderful and authentic per my Venezuelan friends. Decor is bright and festive and tasteful. Dining area and restrooms are clean and well kept. We have been coming here since Aleida's used to be located next to the Summer Moon nearby! They relocated to this bigger location in the last year or so, and the food is still super tasty. Service can be a hit or a miss depending on the day and how busy they are, but they definitely make an effort to do their best. I usually get the Arepa Especial Aleidas and I really enjoy it. Their plantains are also pretty good. At least for the Arepas, I think the price is pretty decent for the portion size. They really stuff them full and don't skimp on the meat! read more

Aleida's is a hidden treasure in a strip center near Summer Moon Coffee. The interior is lush with greenery and large wall length colorful mural. Today I noticed two walls of photos and paintings highlighting the Latin culture. This is a family owned business and it shows. The food feels like a its made with love. The flavors and presentation are personal. I ordered plantain (of course!), a corn breakfast taco with chicken and some Venezuelan flan. All were exceptional. My server was super personable and Texas friendly. He pleasantly persuaded me to try the Venezuelan flan because it was made by his mom. It does not take much for me to get weak at knees for dessert. They have an eclectic menu in terms of the fact that in addition to tacos y arepas they had a Philly cheesesteak sub that was delicious. We were in the area so decided to check out this "northern" gem. The restaurant was small and quaint, but the menu was big and extensive! They offered breakfast, brunch, lunch/dinner, and a full service bar! Pick your vibe for the meal, they've got it. The food was excellent. I got the cachapa and added the fried pork (per our waiters recommendation) and it was awesome. They even had a house made hot sauce that paired perfectly with it. I never really had Venezuelan food before but their breakfast food was really good. The boss man gave us some extra sauces mid meal to do a tri mix and made it even better. How have I lived in Cedar Park for 4 years and never visited Aleidas? Stopped by for lunch today with a friend and was absolutely mind blown. I love Venezuelan food but have struggled to find good Arepas in the area! I ordered the Arepa Jalapeño Grill Chicken, and enjoyed it so much! The meat was so tender, the cheese was fantastic, and the jalapeños provided the perfect kick! My friend ordered the Arepa Especial Aleidas which she absolutely loved as well. I was impressed by the generous amount of avocado slices in that one! I'll be ordering that next time. The ambiance is so colorful and vibrant, it's a small but beautifully decorated space. I think they need more than one server for the lunch rush - it definitely took time to get our servers attention. Highly recommend this local gem! read more

Although I shared it with my bf, it was difficult to finish because I think everything tasted the same. The interior is still as pretty as ever! How I haven't come here before despite living in the neighborhood the past 4 years is a crime. Aleida's has amazing food that is a great reprieve from all the suburban chain restaurants with a beautiful dining room and al fresco options. Prices are good for the amount of food you get cause you will definitely not leave hungry. I really like Venezuelan food, but hard to come by generally, but if you like corn based dishes and plantains with ultra tender moist meat with punchy sauces, you'll love this. They start you off with some chips, salsa and some of the house sauces and gives you a chance to sample everything. While the chips aren't anything too special, the yellow sauce is addictive and slightly sweet and the green packs fresh vibrant spice. Keep that in mind to complement the fried/meat dishes here momentarily. Highly recommend the sampler platter, even though it's mostly fried food. Definitely a great party starter or an easy way to feed a young family. Comes with some fried cheese pastry sticks/pockets, empanadas of various sorts, arepas of various sorts and sweet plantains. The kids love the cheese pockets/sticks, but let's be real, unless you're lactose intolerant, who doesn't? The empanadas were filled with savory meat and crisp. The arepas were my favorite - the juiciest shredded chicken I've ever had and the house shredded pork are both excellent on perfectly crisp, yet chewy corn shells. Lather it in that sauce for a perfect bite. Plantains are well seasoned and soft. The other item that caught our eye was the patacon, which I've been wanting to try anywhere for a long time. It's definitely not the easiest sandwich to eat, but think starchy flattened fried plantain as your bread (i.e. gluten free), filled with your meat of choice (go pork) and then some veg to keep your mom happy, pico for brightness, ham, bacon, all layered super high. It's definitely a sandwich that could easily feed 2 but somehow doesn't get soggy. We kinda just ate it deconstructed kinda like nachos cause it was perilous to try to eat with our hands, but guess the kids liked that :). Service is friendly (our waiter was dancing with our youngest kid) and responsive - the food can take some time, but definitely made to order fresh. If you somehow have room for dessert, the case out front shows some delicacies. read more

We stopped by Aleida's for a quick bite on a Sunday evening. The meal was good, but IMHO the place is not worthy of the almost 5-star rating posted online. The restaurant is a small "hole in the wall" storefront in a strip mall. Not necessarily a bad thing! But smaller than one would think. They are moving to another spot in the small mall, which we drove by on the way out. Larger space, area for a full bar, the licenses for which have been applied for based on the poster in the window of the restaurant. The only drinks/cocktails available this evening was one beer. Many of the items on the menu were "out of stock"... the restaurant's signature red sauce, all the desserts except tres leches cake, cachpas (didn't have those), etc., all not available. However, what we were able to order was good! We started with an order of chips and queso... chips warm, nice and crisp, the queso OK but unremarkable, some melted cheese and very small bits of peppers, red, green and orange (guessing red and green jalapenos and scotch bonnets). The tortilla soup was a standout... nice broth, ton of shredded chicken, seasoned a bit heavy, but tasty! We also had the jalapeno chicken arepas and a chicken burrito. Both were very good; the burrito was probably our favorite of the two entrees. Forgot a pic of the burrito... sorry about that! LOL Tips for management ... it wasn't busy. In fact, no customers there when we walked in. The staff laughing and joking in the back... a table full of old dishes and trash was closest to the order/register, food from the days diners was obvious all over the floor, the bottles of salsa bought to our table were not clean. Hubby loved his food. I did not. My Arepa Special Breakfast said it would be filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, black beans, bacon, avocado and grilled cheese. What I got was scrambled eggs and cheese. The girl brought me some bacon but that was it. I mean, come on! Come here a couple of times and always had great experiences! Each time I've come at lunch and been served right away. The employees have been consistently friendly and efficient in their service I've never had a bad meal here, but their cachapa panellon is the dish I find myself going to most often. There's only a handful of places in the Austin area that serve it and I definitely think they do it the best I appreciate the depth of arepa options they have, I'm surprised more places don't have a breakfast arepa option. There's also plenty of non arepa/cachapa options that are also high quality, so I've had this place in my regular rotation for a while and never gotten bored Overall I can't recommend strongly enough if you live in the Austin area or are visiting from a place where Venezuelan food isn't available read more

This is a little hidden gem tucked away in a shopping plaza, so glad we found it! The owners/workers had a lot of pride in their restaurant and you could really tell. Everything was very clean and they made sure to check in on us and give recommendations along the way. We ordered at the counter, grabbed our drinks, and chose our own table. I love a good quick spot for lunch like this. I had a shredded beef and guacamole arepa and it was delicious! It was packed full of so much good stuff, I couldn't quite finish all of it which was sad, I especially loved the plantains that came on top! They had a white sauce and a spicier green sauce, both of which were delicious, but not very spicy, just lots of flavor. My husband had a chicken arepa and it was also really good, the meat was very high quality and no gross chewy bits to be found. The food is excellent! I had the Jalapeno Grill Chicken Arepa and a side of rice. The arepa was fresh and the chicken juicy. I didn't really taste the bacon but that was fine. They gave us a mixture of different sauces on the side because my friend had two different tacos, all of the sauces were delicious but especially the light green sauce, which reminded me of a poblano ranch. The service was a little slow but that was fine too because I was busy catching up with my friend. I'll definitely be back because the food was fantastic! read more

I've never been one for sandwiches, but the arepas here made me a convert. The fillings are moist, tender and extremely flavorful.

This place is absolutely worth the high ratings and I would drive across the city to try it out again! The service is friendly and ambiance is super cute with a decent amount of indoor seating. Everything we got was delicious! Cachapa - a huge serving, enough for two. The mix of sweet corn and savory fillings was perfect and I'd recommend for anyone to try at least once. Sampler - great and everything was tasty. Good for a big group if you wanna try some different things. Next time I'd probably get the tequenos and maybe an arepa instead though. Aleida's restaurant by Sprouts in Cedar Park is phenomenal. I stupidly assumed it was just another Tex Mex restaurant, but it's far from it. It's owned by a Venezuelan family and the food is super fresh and delicious. And - they have a HUGE gluten free menu and a separate fryer to avoid cross contamination. We found this place because it wasn't too far from a place that we were staying at. The food wasn't bad, but the place was absolutely filthy!! The music was too loud, the waiter/owner was practically nonexistent and a couple times we had to ask him to bring either a new drink or a new chips and salsa because he would cough in our food and drink, respectively. This was such a mess. This whole event occurred on Memorial Day. I ordered: * 1x Burrata Pizza * 1x Beni-Nachos * 1x Tequēnos * 1x Cinnamon Churro Cheesecake * 1x Alieda's Sauce Order total: $79.24 8:07 PM: I walk in to pick up my order. I am told 5 more minutes. I go sit in my car. 8:12 PM: I come back in. Nobody's at the counter, so I sit down. I wait for another minute before being told 3 more minutes. I wait 3 minutes and they hand me just the pizza. 8:17 PM: I text my partner that the pizza is small but smells good. I'm still sitting and waiting for the rest. They tell me 3 minutes. They bring a tied plastic bag to my table 3 minutes later. I thank them. 8:21 PM: I sit in my car and think about the size of the bag. I double check my order and realize they forgot the cake. I go back inside and tell them. I see the waiter look in the fridge that's right in front of the counter. They go into the kitchen. 8:24 PM: I text my partner that they almost forgot the cake. 8:25 PM: They bring me the cake. The cake is small. I live 5 minutes from Alieda's. 8:33 PM: I arrive home. I lay everything out and it looks good. I take a bite of nachos and I'm immediately disappointed. The nachos are soggy. At this point, we start trying to make servings for people. The nachos are so soggy and everything just started sticking together as the cheese cooled. It was terrible. The pizza is one with tomatoes, I understand tomatoes make things soggy. This was a pizza that was sloppily cut. I could not get a piece out whole. Then, we see the cake. It's fu*king frozen. Are you kidding me? The SLICE of cake was $11.50 alone. I called and expressed my concerns professionally because I work in customer service. I understand how it feels being on the other end and taking a complaint. It's hard. They offered a refund almost immediately. I put my purchase on a credit card and I needed to wait a few days to see if it was voided like they said it would. It was not voided and I had to call doordash customer support today. As for the taste. It tasted fine, however I did not eat anything because it was so soggy. The Tequēnos taste store-bought.
