Multiple tables in dining area, wood tones throughout. TVs running videos of beautiful locations in Venezuela. Staff is prompt, friendly and checked back throughout the meal to address any needs and refill drinks. Arepitas appetizer is great trial to share or get an idea of what an arepa might taste like. I got the Llaneras Arepa. An amazing steak sandwich. Delicious sear on the meat. Creamy avocado. Added the plantains. They are delicious by themselves but would not add to the sandwich again. Added some nata from the appetizer. So good! This sandwich is a meal by itself!

Phenomenal. Empanadas with Pabellon filling might be the best thing I've ever had. Spicy sauce has great flavor. This place is a not so hidden gem.

Sweet staff. A great place to try Venezuelan food. My favorite were the Parrillita and Tostones. If you have the stomach for dessert after, I would recommend trying their guava pie.

Nice , clean, fresh. Great food and service. I came for a late lunch and had a Vegetarian Areta which asked to add the slow roasted wood fired beef, just delicious!

First time coming to this restaurant! We liked the vibe of this restaurant and felt nice and clean even in the bathroom as well! We ordered vegetarian dishes; the vegetarian and the vegetarian arepas they came in 10 mins and were delicious! Rich in flavors and if you'd like to put more seasonings you can do it additionally and you can also ask for hot creamy sauce for $0.75. Twas a good one but they'll charge you for that so just keep it in mind. :) Overall, we had a good lunch over there! Good volume and they filled us up nicely! Keep up the good work! Cheers

So I ordered food for pickup. I got the cheese sticks (tequenos) they were good, a little cold by the time I got back. There were 5 and a pretty good size. I'd try again of eating there but prob not to go. I got the Texan arepas which is their "sandwich" some kind of bread/roll stuffed with goodness. The Texan had chicken and beef, onion, bell pepper, jalepeno, white cheese, tomato and avocado. It was huge! So they give you almost half an avocado and it was perfectly ripe. The jalepenos I didn't find spicy. The garlic sauce is delightful! The star was probably the cheese! They call it white cheese, it's a thick cut (at least twice a regular slice). It's soft and mild and wonderful. If you get a different sandwich get that cheese! I couldn't eat it all. I ordered an extra side of garlic sauce, and paid for it but didn't get it. It's all a little pricey (over $30 for these items and no drink). It also took about twice as long as they originally said so keep that in mind. It really was a very good experience, I love trying new things. I'd definitely go back if I find myself in Killeen again!

Came in with a group of 7 and our waitress Amari was amazing. She was super helpful and informative with the dishes. Our wait time wasn't too long, drinks came out right away. Food was delicious and hot. Lunch rush wasn't too bad

This is The Texan Arepas, the meat was so flavorful I would definitely order this again! Not spicy at all just right.

9/10 for me!!! This place was really good! From the service being on point and not taking long at all to having some amazing fresh food. The tostones was so amazing a great way to my heart, from all the fresh vegetables and so much flavor in every bite. The 3 piece was enough for me and the wifey but if you come with an appetite definitely get your self a bigger order. We tried the arepas, I had the Texan and that didn't disappoint at all!!! The meat was so flavorful! The wifey had the pabellon arepas the shredded meat over powered the whole thing but don't get me wrong it was delicious just a little heavy on the meat. If you love a big portion of it, go for it. We are definitely going back for more and more.

Pricey be ready! For the price the portions are small. They are definitely pricing because of the area they are located.

Food was really good. It is more savory than other Hispanic foods but still has some kick! Service was great as well. Gave my food a 8.5/10

My husband ordered their burrito, which came with chips and a cheese dip on the side. Their shrimp was good; nothing special. I did ask to try aleida's sauce, which many people liked on yelp, but we liked their green sauce the most! Overall, very cute and colorful restaurant; loved all the decor. The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. My taco wasn't worth more than $5, tbh, and we paid close to $9..given it was shrimp, but we've had much better shrimp tacos elsewhere for less. I wish I had a photo of my poor taco, but I totally forgot to take a picture :/

Pro tip: It's not directly on Walton Way; it's on the side of the building. Wilson, one of the owners, kindly guided me to the entrance when my GPS said I had arrived, but I still couldn't see the restaurant. Please note that there is indoor and outdoor dining along with free parking. Fogonero is best known for its empanadas, arepas, and other traditional Venezuelan specialties. While all of those sounded tempting, I was craving one food specifically...plantains. I have a real weakness for sweet fried plantains, and lately they have become my ultimate "go-to" comfort food. Fogonero's plantains hit the spot. They were perfectly sweet, moist, and enjoyable to eat. The restaurant is a whole vibe. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a striking mural of the Venezuelan flag painted in vibrant colors across the wall. It's eye-catching, inviting, and instantly sets the tone for the experience. Alfred welcomed me with a warm smile and immediately recognized that I was there to pick up an order. He had everything packed and ready to go, making the process quick and seamless. His friendly, personable demeanor made a great first impression. I'm looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu once my mouth is back in eating condition.

Husband enjoyed his plate and finished it within a few minutes. It came with 2 different types of sauces: a white cilantro flavored one and a red mild sauce that was a bit spicy for him. The pesto mushroom risotto was good, but a little salty for my liking. If you want to add protein, it's ~$6 for beef or shrimp and ~$4 for chicken. Overall, it was good! We'll most likely be back.
