Tasty food and lime/mint beverage! What i got is an empanada and note it does take a while to cook It came out hot and fresh.. the corn shell was really tasty and filled with shredded chicken. The limeade type beverage was about $5.50 but really tasty and refreshing. The ladies working here were very nice. The food truck park itsself could use a little refreshening but it's nice to sit under trees. read more

This little food truck produces big bold flavors! It was my first time trying Venezuelan food, and everything was so delicious! We ordered tequenos, reina pepiada arepa, cachapa con queso, chicken empanada, malta, and a mango passion fruit juice (of the day). The cachapa was my favorite of the bunch because the combination of the corn pancake with the meat and cheese was divine. Also a special shoutout to the maltín because I loved it so much that I'm going to get one of these malt sodas anytime I see it available. Pleaseeee come try this! We came for Cantos Tacos right next to this food truck, but this one STOLE the show. If you are gluten free, this place is a MUST. The empanadas were so incredibly delicious and the corn pancake was too. Their arepas were huge too. At first, three of my friends decided to just grab something small to fill us since this food truck had some of the more affordable options - we were shocked by how delicious it was that we went for another round. One of the best arepas we've had and the service couldn't have been better! Everything was amazing - we both had the carne mechada arepas (and asked to add plantains and cheese and the owner was very gracious about it). They were excellent! We loved that the arepas are baked and the beef was not grease and you could tell it was good quality! We also had the tequeños and I'm in awe that they were not greasy. The mango drinks were delicious and the tres leches was to die for (though I think it was a bienmesabe, which is like a tres leches with a bit of coconut. I've only had arepas one other time and they tasted the same. My coworker thought it was weird. The chicken Machado while loaded with chicken was very dry. Empanadas we're probably the best menu item. The crust was crunchy had a nice corn/sweet flavor and was decently loaded with filling but everything was very dry. I had the chance to try their tequeños over the weekend and had been thinking about them so much that I had a friend go and pick some up for us to enjoy at their house lol. The balance of cheese to flaky crust is perfection and I appreciate how every tequeños was oozing with cheese yet the pastry dough felt like it came fresh out of the oven. They're a great snack to enjoy or to pair with their menu which features arepas and plenty of other Venezuelan eats. The owners here are super nice and very passionate about bringing Venezuelan cuisine to the city. The empanada was among the best that I've ever had! I've never had this style - instead of dough, it had an extremely crispy shell, and a soft corn meal interior wrapping the meat. We've tried to find somewhere to go after leaving our favorite place behind in Vegas, and Cachitos is the place to go for arepas from here on out in Austin! I loved being able to eat food from here and feel safe with my gluten allergy. I had PLENTY of options for food, but we settled on the Reina Pepiada arepa and the chicken empanada. I was FLOORED. FLOORED. The empanada had a corn batter that was sweet but not heavy, and it worked perfectly with the chicken. Having a gluten allergy, it is hard to find GF empanadas, but Cachitos nailed it, and the empanada itself was HUGE! Easily enough for 2 people. The arepa? SO MUCH FILLING. Some may balk at the price, but I'm telling you, that arepa is STUFFED to the brim with deliciousness. STUFFED. The arepa was magic, y'all. MAGIC. Perfectly crisp, so delicious, sweet yet salty, and along with the filling, it was incredible. The arepa was legit big enough for 2 people as well; I couldn't finish it. Hubby happily obliged to assist with the arepa and empanada. Top it off with friendly staff, great location at the Arbor Food Truck park, and what a meal! Can't wait to go back again real soon! Amazing food! The arepas have a soft, tasty 'bun'/exterior and are filled with flavorful and hearty meats. Very filling and delicious and pretty cheap too! The cachitas are also delicious. A friend showed me this place yesterday--he's Venezuelan and said the food as just like his mom used to make and as good as the Venezuela food you get in Miami. I hadn't had an empanada in I dont know how many years so I was over the moon when I saw them on the menu as being made of corn flour (GF). I came up to the truck and wanted 1 chicken, but was pretty hungry so I added a beef. The guy taking my order was very friendly. I don't think I expected everything to be this good. We stopped by for lunch earlier today (Sunday), located in the arbor food park. It was one of only two trucks open.. (why???). Anyways, happy that this place was open! I wish venezuelan food was more prevalent in this city. We ordered and it took maybe ten minutes to be ready, not bad! The tequeños were super good, not oily at all, and deliciously cheesy. The cachapa was an interesting mic of sweet and savory that I couldn't get enough of. I forget the name of the other item we ordered (see picture!) - but also very good! My only gripe might be the cost, but honestly everything was very good and presented nicely (especially for a food truck) read more

Came here at 3:30 pm on a Wednesday. The woman working was so nice and kind! She was very smiley and waved to us goodbye. We got chicken empanadas, the ham and cheese cachito, and the carne merchada empanada. Everything came out piping out and very juicy! The flavor was a little mild for me but the green sauce made it more pungent. It was honestly a LOT of meat if you're into that. My favorite was definitely the empanada, super duper crispy on the outside and good meat to dough ratio.
