Carne Mechada, Tequeños (6), jugo de mango
    Maria R.

One of the best arepas we've had and the service couldn't have been better! Everything was amazing - we both had the carne mechada arepas (and asked to add plantains and cheese and the owner was very gracious about it). They were excellent! We loved that the arepas are baked and the beef was not grease and you could tell it was good quality! We also had the tequeños and I'm in awe that they were not greasy. The mango drinks were delicious and the tres leches was to die for (though I think it was a bienmesabe, which is like a tres leches with a bit of coconut. If we lived in Austin we'd come here all the time!

Their chicken empanadas are so crispy and juicy!!! I always get one when I go!! I love how much meat you get and the masa is so perfect and slightly sweet!!

Pleaseeee come try this! We came for Cantos Tacos right next to this food truck, but this one STOLE the show. If you are gluten free, this place is a MUST. The empanadas were so incredibly delicious and the corn pancake was too. Their arepas were huge too. At first, three of my friends decided to just grab something small to fill us since this food truck had some of the more affordable options - we were shocked by how delicious it was that we went for another round. I can't overemphasize how much I loved it. If you're reading this and are deciding which food truck in the vicinity to check out, please check this one out, especially if you're gluten free!

First time trying them and they were very tasty! The Reina pipeada was a crispy yet soft arepa filled with creamy chicken and avocado, served HOT. Empanadas were savory & the shell was crispy and slightly sweet. Could've used a bit of tartness or spiciness like a lime wedge or something but overall, very good!

Ordered on door dash and picked up multiple orders. Food was ready when I got there so I was in and out in a timely manner. I thought the arepa was good. I've only had arepas one other time and they tasted the same. My coworker thought it was weird. The chicken Machado while loaded with chicken was very dry. Empanadas we're probably the best menu item. The crust was crunchy had a nice corn/sweet flavor and was decently loaded with filling but everything was very dry. The cilantro sauce is needed for all items.

Carne mechada and mango juice was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back. So hot and fresh.

You don't see a lot of arepa places in town, and I'm really glad we have this one! All the arepas were really tasty- my favorite was surprisingly the vegan one. Service is quick and because it's around other trucks you can go with a group and everyone has options. I love this food truck park, great vibes and family-friendly.

The empanada was among the best that I've ever had! I've never had this style - instead of dough, it had an extremely crispy shell, and a soft corn meal interior wrapping the meat. The combination of textures really hit the spot and the shredded beef was tender and full of flavor. Check this spot out!

Excellent truck for Venezuelan food! Their Cachitos are delicious!! Very juicy and soft, service is great! I would say most authentic place in Austin for Venezuelan food. I will be back to try more items but their Cachitos are amazing!! Outdoor seating is plentiful, and the outdoor ambiance is great for families or even a simple date night. Highly recommend!

I wanted to try the arepita appetizer which is normally served with shredded beef/pork or chicken on the side- to get a side of plantains instead of meat, it was going to add 3$ to the 14$ appetizer so I just opted to omit the meat all together and still had to pay the $14 ...which I don't feel is appropriate- people always wanna add money to sub a veggie for meat but never reduce the price when just removing the meat all together. Anyways, Ordered my food which was out promptly, the veggie bowl was delicious as always and the arepita appetizer (no meat) was good- reminded me of a fried potatoe cake, I used the arepitas as a vessel for my veggie bowl ! I brought the remainder of my bowl home where I bit into something very hard , once pulling it out of my mouth I discovered some beef snuck it's way into my dish- disappointing forsure but it is the first time out of about 10 times this has happened here. Prices have gone up over the last few years my veggie bowl was 18$.

It's challenging to replicate the same experience locally, as these restaurants lack access to the fresh, local ingredients that define their unique cuisine. Casa Colombia does a good job replicating a true Colombian dining experience. Their menu is extensive with some very interesting offerings. Scanning the dining room, I noticed that their portions are huge. We started with a shrimp cocktail, an empanada, and their version of a rum - mango martini. The small option for the shrimp cocktail was bountiful and easily shared. The housemade cocktail sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The empanada was a tad dry, but their spicy salsa sauce was a great addition. Our "martini" was sweet but very satisfying on a warm afternoon. We did want to try their ceviche, but they are using tilapia as their fish. Quality Seafood is not too far away, and I'm sure that they could offer a better-tasting white fish than plain ole tilapia. We split one of their house specials, the Bandeja Paisa Tipica. This is a traditional Colombian dish, and it is a meat lover's dream served on an oversized platter. Our platter arrived with a chorizo link, beef sirloin, rice, red beans with pork, a huge fried chicharrón, an arepa, a sweet plantain, a slice of avocado (well, there's the only healthy portion), and a fried egg on top. We struggled to eat about 70% of this feast. It's going to take a few visits to the gym to work off this lunch. Dis & Dat: Parking is a breeze as they have their own parking lot. They do offer a happy hour that begins at 3 PM. A definite 4-plus star experience.
