Ambiance: 4/5: cute restaurant, with outdoor seating. We were sat as soon as we got there. Restaurant is next to a main road so sitting outside can be kind of noisy sometimes. Service: 4/5: our waiter did a good job at checking on the table and taking our order on time. Nothing bad to point out. Food: 4/5: The food was better than what I expected. I ordered the stuffed chicken plate and I would order it again if I went back. The salsa that comes with the chips is a bit hot but so tasty. Definitely poured that on everything. Unfortunately, we didnt order drinks so couldn't rate my experience with that. Overall good experience read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my business trips to South America, particularly eating my way through Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and beyond. It's challenging to replicate the same experience locally, as these restaurants lack access to the fresh, local ingredients that define their unique cuisine. Casa Colombia does a good job replicating a true Colombian dining experience. Their menu is extensive with some very interesting offerings. Scanning the dining room, I noticed that their portions are huge. We started with a shrimp cocktail, an empanada, and their version of a rum - mango martini. The small option for the shrimp cocktail was bountiful and easily shared. The housemade cocktail sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The empanada was a tad dry, but their spicy salsa sauce was a great addition. Our "martini" was sweet but very satisfying on a warm afternoon. We did want to try their ceviche, but they are using tilapia as their fish. Quality Seafood is not too far away, and I'm sure that they could offer a better-tasting white fish than plain ole tilapia. We split one of their house specials, the Bandeja Paisa Tipica. This is a traditional Colombian dish, and it is a meat lover's dream served on an oversized platter. Our platter arrived with a chorizo link, beef sirloin, rice, red beans with pork, a huge fried chicharrón, an arepa, a sweet plantain, a slice of avocado (well, there's the only healthy portion), and a fried egg on top. We struggled to eat about 70% of this feast. It's going to take a few visits to the gym to work off this lunch. Dis & Dat: Parking is a breeze as they have their own parking lot. They do offer a happy hour that begins at 3 PM. A definite 4-plus star experience. read more

Went to my first colombian restaurant in Austin and let me tell you it did not disappoint. As someone who grew up in Colombia my brother and I shared our favorite traditional foods from there. The blood sausage was delicious it had the right crisp and paired with yuca made the combination melt in your mouth. The Bandeja Paisa is the perfect size for one hungry person to devour but if you're looking to try a variety then you can definitely share it. Will definitely be back when I'm missing home! read more

Solid Colombian food with decent portions and well poured drinks! Everything about this place feels like you're in someone's home. Service is a bit slow because they're always very busy when I go, but the orders are always accurate and the food and drinks come out fast considering how many people are there! Is it the best Colombian I've had? Not even close but this place is an Austin 5/5. read more

There are only a handful of places you can get some authentic Colombian food and I'm glad my wife knew about this one. I'm glad we sat down to eat it too because the atmosphere was kind of different even though it was just us and another couple people are in the restaurant. You gotta get one of the coffees, then you gotta get something with plantain in it, that's all I gotta say. But honestly, you'll be happy with whatever you get. read more

The excellent Colombian inspired plates along with a few Cuban inspired plates are always a delight! The atmosphere is clean and vibrant. The staff is always attentive. We love coming here with friends from out of town to enjoy a nice evening on the terrace as well! read more

The best Colombian food in Austin, though the quality has gone down a bit lately. The place has a nice casual atmosphere with colorful decor and upbeat Latin music that makes you feel like you're in a little corner of Colombia. Service is still fast and attentive they really try to meet your needs. On my last visit I got seated fairly quickly and was very satisfied with the service, but the food itself wasn't quite as good as before. read more

Wow...the portions are huge! We literally got four meals out of mine. And, as you can probably guess from one of the pictures, our sweet boy Benji had some nibbles too. I had steak and it was well-seasoned and properly cooked. The patacones rellenos were so good, I probably could have eaten like ten of them and been happy. Haha. Truth. My boyfriend got the bandeja paisa tipica that was like a literal smorgasbord on a plate. It had beans, beef, pork, egg, and all kinds of other stuff. My entree was as I mentioned, steak, with mashed potatoes, green beans, and fries. It was nice being able to enjoy truly authentic flavors. Great service. Nice outdoor seating. read more

If you're looking for authentic Colombian food that feels like home, this is the place. I was born and raised in Queens, New York, and have been searching for Colombian food that brings back the flavors I grew up with--this spot delivered exactly that. The food was incredible and reminded me of meals from my childhood. We started with the arepas con queso and Colombian chorizo--simple, classic, and full of flavor. My husband ordered the bandeja paisa, and I had the tamal valluno--both were comforting, hearty dishes with generous portions. We even had leftovers to take home! We also grabbed a pan de bono to go, which was perfect with coffee later. The drinks were just as impressive. We ordered the mango colada and maracuyá mojito--both were made right in front of us and were super refreshing. Service was excellent. Our bartender, Daniel, was friendly and made great drinks. Stefany F., our server, was so kind and patient--she really made us feel welcome. The restaurant has a spacious layout with plenty of seating in the back and some cozy spots near the bar. It's a great place for lunch, dinner, or a family outing. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for delicious, authentic Colombian food with great service. read more

Amazing Colombian food in Austin! I started with their Colombian martini. There are several flavors to choose from, and I went with mango. It's made with 2.5 oz of the rum of your choice, 1.5 oz Triple Sec, 2.5 oz sweet and sour, 0.75 oz agave, 3 oz tropical pulp, and finished with a splash of Sprite. Super refreshing and perfectly balanced. For an appetizer, my friend and I shared their beef and potato empanada -- a fried cornmeal patty stuffed with seasoned filling. I'm used to Argentine empanadas, so I found the ratio of cornmeal to filling heavier than I prefer (more cornmeal than filling) but the flavor was still great and it came out nice and crispy. For my main, I had the churrasco -- grilled top sirloin marinated in chimichurri sauce, served with green beans, fried yuca, mashed potatoes, and a ramekin of chimichurri on the side. It was a ton of food and absolutely delicious. read more

Authentic Colombian Cuisine :) We ordered the House Special ($22.99, Bandeja Paisa Típica), which comes with a variety of components: rice, beans, pork rind, sirloin, egg, avocado, corn patty, and both sweet and savory plantains. It was a generous portion of food, and each component was delicious and delightful. Our waitress did not speak English, but she was prompt and friendly. The interior makes you feel as though you've been transported to another country. read more

Family owned Colombian restaurant, staff are super friendly especially if you sit at the bars. The bartenders Daniel and Paola are fun to talk to and they make solid drinks, they recommended the Colombian Martini which did not disappoint! The passionfruit and guava flavors in the drinks are fresh fruit/pulp. I've had a few items here: bistec criolla, pechuga de pollo, and pabellon. All were very delicious and depends what type of meet and flavors you're craving. The food comes out quick and good portion sizes, have never left hungry. The food here was generally good. We tried 4 different dishes and three were very good. The fourth dish, I finally got to try the Bandeja plate. It's ok. I will not get it again. I think they have other dishes that are better. Service was horrible though. Prepare to be there two hours, as they are slooooooooowwwwww! That's why they get three stars. You can't make people wait almost an hour for their food. And then not come and check on the table periodically. read more

Great tasting Colombian dishes and drinks. Great tasting Colombian dishes and drinks every time we visit. The flavors are authentic and bold. The house salsa is garlicky, limey, and so good that I end up putting it on everything. The Picada is a must order appetizer with a delicious mix of meats, potatoes, yucca, and plantains that is perfect for sharing. The Bandeja Paisa is another favorite and never disappoints. I have also recently fallen in love with the pechuga de pollo. I skip the sauce and use the house salsa instead and it makes the dish even better. They also have fun and memorable Colombian items, coffee, and snacks at the entrance that I love browsing through every visit. Always a great experience. read more

This was my first visit and it won't be my last. This is an authentic spot with a courteous staff including their manager. The food was delicious! I drive by this place all the time and usually it has a decent amount of people so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a Bandeja Paisa Tipica Antioquena. The food was okay the fried pork grind wasn't as crispy as I would have liked it to be and was chewy with made it harder to cut and eat. The steak was lacking seasoning and since it is a thin cut the temperature was well cooked. We did get an tequenos which are essentially cheese stick and those were delicious! read more

took my grandma & parents here when they were visiting. now I don't know much about Colombian food, as I'm Puerto Rican, but I would say authentic or not, the food is incredible. The price of the food is also so reasonable, especially in austin. Their drinks (non alcoholic, at least) are delicious and well priced. Their fried Yucca is great, as are their plantains. I come here at least twice a month because of the food. My partner always gets the Bistec Criollo and I get the churrasco. The portions are large and the meat is always cooked perfectly. Their Chimichurri sauce is my favorite. Mariela is usually my server, and if she's not there I ask for her. She's incredibly sweet and wonderful at her job, but any server there does a good job. But Mariela truly makes the experience that much better. read more

As a Colombian from NYC & Miami, this did not meet my expectations and needs. The empanadas were not good at all - chunks of fatty meat and pureed potato. Coming to Casa Colombia is always a comfort food treat. Their beans are delicious and remind me of home even though I'm not Colombian, but it's about as close as you can get to good Puerto Rican beans in Austin. Their chimichurri has a bit more vinegar content than most, but it only makes it more addictive. The way they cook the churrasco (skirt steak) is a bit odd but delicious nonetheless. The pork rind was not cooked enough and it was chewy. Ended up air frying it to eat with the rest of my leftovers and it came out perfect. I had never tasted morcilla before but it was tasty, definitely an acquired taste though. It paired really well with their spicy sauce. The service could have been better but it was a Saturday at peak time so I understand. Overall a great meal that tastes like home. read more
