Yuca Frita y Chicharrones

It was pretty good. I was disappointed with how dry the pork was but it was good portion for your money. The fatty pork was delicious. I just didn't like the jerky pieces. The fritas were perfect.

I came to this restaurant and everything was excellent. Karen was our server and she was very attentive to all our needs. The food was magnificent; it has the essence of authentic Salvadoran cuisine. I ordered pupusas and they were absolutely phenomenal. The breakfast here is spectacular. 10 out of 10--I will definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Bean and cheese pupusa and Revueltas Pupusa

If I could give Delmy's more than 5 stars, I would. The food was incredible! I judge a place by their refried beans and delmy's knocked it out of the park. The pupusas were fresh and plantains were perfectly sweet. My favorite item was the cabbage slaw that was served with the pupusas. So crispy and sour. The service was good and it was a chill laidback area away from downtown. A great spot for a group.

A little bit of everything

Everything was absolutely delicious! Each bite took me right back home, and I couldn't be happier to have finally found a place in Austin that serves truly authentic Salvadoran food. The flavors, the freshness, and the care in every dish reminded me of what I grew up with

Empanadas de Pollo y Papas

I ordered Delmy's Pupuseria for the first time and let me tell you, the plantains were A-mazing. So delicious. The Pupusas are also very good. I got the Chicharrón and cheese pupusa which is pork (with cheese) and they were soft, cheesy and delightful. I got the lunch special that comes with two pupusas, steak, some sort of cabbage slaw and an egg for a discounted price. The egg was cooked just how I like it- over easy. The steak I could do without, it was a bit rubbery. So definitely go for the pupusas and plantains. The empanadas were also very good. It was Chicken and potato empanadas and very yum. So if you go, just skip the steak and go for the pupusas, empanadas and plantains. I got this all for a discounted price which was fantastic and so much food for such a bargain price. Delivered fast, fresh and hot.

Excellent Salvadorean food. Very authentic. Service was on point. The food brought me back to my childhood!

Delicious! Cant wait to go back for chicharron. The revuelta was the perfect combination.

Great service, friendly and attentive. Food was flavorful and made with care. Perfect Sunday lunch.

Awesome place the pupusas were great, I also ordered the chicken tamales and they tasted like my grandma used to make them.

The food was great. Everything came out super hot and the pupusas had a good ratio of filling.

Mis amores blancos, do you have taste buds? Do you like flavorful, home-cooked authenticity?…read more Also, everyone else for that matter; get in, we're going for pupusas. If you said yes, Pupuseria Usulutes is a chefs kiss. It's a hole in the wall, it was quiet on a Thursday afternoon, but maaaan does that make one feel lucky. I grabbed a breakfast plate, tamale, and some pupusas. OH my lawd, even the beans were delicious (where usually I find that to be the blandest part). Perfectly pickled veggies, a fall of the leaf tamale, and a dayum good pupusa! The flavors were 10/10. For the nitty gritty, the price range is no more than most places now-a-days, and overall cheaper. I only grabbed take-out, but as far as that goes, no notes from me. I'm eager to go back and have a sit down there someday. Eat here, ya'll. It's good~

There's too few pupuserias in Austin! Overall a mediocre food experience, but if you're in the mood…read morefor papusas, not much choice for us here. Met up with friends and one of them loved the authentic vibes. When we're the only non-Hispanic people in a relatively full restaurant it's a good sign! Usually "authentic" when on the cheaper side means that it's cheaper quality but full of flavor, as people with lower incomes know how to make great tasting food that's filling for a lower cost - hence how ox tail and po'boys got created and has becomes staples. I can definitely attest it's authentic, however the taste and food quality is a tad lacking. Carne Asada - my friend said... I'm still chewing it when I asked how it was. Definitely low quality piece of beef, however not made any better by the flavor or the way it was cooked. Fried Fish - definitely the star! Slightly overcooked, but still juicy and tender, the fish had an excellent flavor. Warning it can be a lot of work to avoid the bones! (one friend had a tough time, while the other had it eaten in just a few minutes) Papusas - Mediocre. Good enough to fill the craving, however not the best showcase for the famous El Salvadoran dish. Good amount of filling and with ok taste. It could use more salt and be cooked a little crisper on the outside. Make sure to ask for the cabbage topping in case they don't bring it out - it was nice to see that the container for the cabbage had a prep date. Chicharron - Overall a little overcooked, but I feel like this is typically the case every time I've ever had it at any restauraunt. Chewy and overall good flavor. Tortillas - Thick!! And homemade! Yucca - I wish now I had known they had fried yucca, as it's harder to find than one would think in Austin. Make sure to ask for this fried treat, as it's 10x better than French fries!
