What can I say I love pupusas and these ones are great! We got the bean and cheese pupusas, which came with some delicious toppings and salsa. The truck is in kind of a random parking lot, but does have covered outdoor seating with benches of you want to eat there. Highly recommended!! read more

Pupusos were really good. They have a covered eating area right next to the food truck which was nice since it was cold and rainy today. Mostly Spanish speaking... but there was a woman that was able to take my order and it came out perfectly. read more

While on the road home we decided we were craving some pupusas, so we chose the one of two food trucks that we know of plus this one was on the way home. Lol I ordered the revueltas & hubby the queso & Loroco. He liked his but then he tasted mine & liked that one better. The sauce it comes with is spicy (My tolderance is low lol) but good flavor. They were a good size and were good all around. Its $6 for two of them (Cash only) and I believe that's on the high side but that seems to be the trend in Austin lately. You will have to look over the menu and know what you're ordering because they won't understand anything else, that's your heads up. They make everything to order, so you will wait a bit but that's always worth it to get freshly made food. read more

The best Honduras food place all Over Austin by far!!! Im from Honduras and i search all over Austin for Honduras food and out of all the others this has a more authentic flavor and texture on each bite. Honestly, I'd recommend this spot to anyone who is looking to try Honduran for their first time or even looking for something out of your comfort zone. Tajadas there are amazing either the chuleta or the chicken, you will not be disappointed. The papuas and beladas are different than most around town. The papusas are much larger than I've ever had and beladas are very traditional. If you're interested and going for your first time, get a Pollo tajada and a belada especial. If you're REALLY HUNGRY then thrown on a bean and cheese papusa or a chicken taco. I love this spot, the only things I don't like are 1. Only cash 2. They close at 4pm read more

This food trailer, at the corner of East Riverside and Uphill Lane is in the driveway of a small grocery store that advertises that it sells "Chips, Candies, Beer, Grocery". The name of the trailer is actually "Honduras Food". The menu is in Spanish, but the accompanying pictures are descriptive enough to give you a sense of what you are ordering. Since this was my first time ordering Honduras food, the lady recommended the carne asada baleadas and the Revueltas pupusas. While the picture of the baledas suggests quesadilla, it's actually more of a spanish crepe. Apparently, Baleadas are one of Honduras's most original and popular foods. A baleada is a 12" wheat flour tortilla, filled with a savory mix of carne asada, egges, cheese and avocado on a bean spread. It's typically eaten for breakfast. Actually, the tortilla is more like a crepe - though it isn't sweet, it's thick, pliable and tasty. And for $4 it's a bargain. The revueltas pupusas is a thick, handmade corn tortilla filled with meet and bean. It was fresh and delicious and only $2. All the dishes were made to order and came out piping hot. The drawback was that with a tiny bit of a crowd (about 8 people) it took about 30 minutes for me to get my order. (Really this gives it a 4.5 rating, but I'm going to error on the positive side of the 1/2). For $6 I got a fresh, handmade meal that was more than I could eat. I'll be going back to try the tajadas (plantains) and will probably stop in for breakfast too! read more

My first time to this Honduran food truck and was very impressed with pupusas revueltas. They were thin cheesy and had good flavor also like cabbage salad that was very fresh and not too sour. The lady was not too friendly and it does helps your business when you are more friendly with your customers. Overall it was not a bad experience. read more

I was looking for someplace local that I could walk to from my hotel (Hilton Garden Inn Airport) and came across these great reviews for this food truck so I decided to take the short walk! Am I ever glad I did!!!! It was absolutely amazing and huge portions! Great flavors!!! Can be intimidating if you don't speak Spanish but I ordered by number and they were super friendly.Chicken was a huge piece but a little tough on thinner pieces that's the ONLY reason I did 4 stars. Food and service were good. Prices are not what's listed in pictures , everything was 3-10$ more than what's on Yelp menu images . So in my opinion it was too expensive for the amount of food given. Nonetheless it tasted good. read more

Loved it ! I tried the Pollo con Tajadas and it was absolutely delicious! I had been craving this dish since I came back from my trip to Central America. Killer. Literally the best food I've eaten (anywhere) in months. Ordered the chicken plate - on green plantains, cabbage, pico and spices. Came slightly fried and fresh. Pupusas were also amazing. It may help to bring a Spanish speaker (I ordered in Spanish). They make to order, so call in advance or be patient (15 min) while they make your food. Cash only! read more

My first meal in Austin was here, grabbing a bite before returning to the airport to pick up our other friend. The papusas were tasty and not as greasy as others I've had. The Baleadas, which is sort of a flat burrito/not-super-cheesy-quesadilla, was flavorful and filling. I've eaten there several times and love it! Very English-challenged, but they've numbered their menu to make it easier. The chicken breastfeeding tajadas are fantastic, as ate the papusas. Portions are generous, prices are good. You can't miss by eating here. read more

PUPUSAS!!! I have missed these SO much after moving from LA. In the land of Tex-Mex and far and few in between authentic Mexican restaurant which are ALL over in Cali...this place makes me feel nestolgic. They have a good assortment of Central American dishes that are all done well. You know it's good when you have to brush up on your Spanish to order and anyone besides those of Latin decent, are few. At any restaurant you go to...if you not just feel but also don't look like you belong, then eat there!...unless it is filled with the bourgeoisie- they seem to praise anything! P.S.- I also haven't seen a hipster there yet. Get it before "they" clue in! read more

Excellent food and hearty portions. This trailer is steeped in authenticity and value which most trailers try and anoint themselves with through cliche' word play and self mythology. Also the food is not over-priced like so many of the new trailer fare. Best in the area (much better than Javi's. Although there is a new trailer which opened up just West of Honduras Food which is also very good). I would recommend people get their food to go though unless it's a nice day. Menu is in both spanish and then translated right below in english (updated from the all spanish menu featured in Joel B's pic). So far I've had and would recommend: -carne molida -pechuga read more

I've wanted to try this place for a bit and finally made my way over there yesterday for lunch. My husband and I tried the tajadas with chicken breast, baleadas with carne asada, and a pupusa with queso and loroco. I can't even pick a favorite! Every thing I tasted was fantastic - the meats were flavorful and tender, and the tortillas were unlike any tortillas I've ever tasted. The baleadas was made with a tortilla that was so soft and fluffy and also had some amazing sauce I can't identify, and the tortilla used in the pupusa was thick, soft and delicious. The portions were giant - we ordered way too much food for the two of us! We had to wait about 20 minutes for everything to be prepared, so you know it's freshly made! To top it off, there was a sweet orange tabby there to greet people as they arrived. So cute. :) They only take cash... well worth the trip to the cash machine, though! So yourself a huge favor and check this place out. Incredible! read more

In all honesty, we should have shared a basket of fries and the burger. The beef was seasoned and cooked to perfection allowing all of the burger toppings to converge together in my mouth for a flavor explosion. Boyfriend had the falafel sandwich; double patty. Took a bite (of course) and boom...goodness! I'm still so full, now that I'm home I can't move. I'm done.
