This is easily the best food I've had in Austin, which says a lot given that this city is known for great cuisine! My friend and I went here based on local recommendations and we tried a few dishes - we cannot decide which one was our favorite! You can tell that they use high quality fish and seafood for their dishes, and they can make it as sweet or as spicy as you wish with different tasty sauces! The staff was very kind and hospitable, as well - they are very friendly, and they will gladly advise you if you are unsure what you would like to order. We truly felt welcomed here. We will definitely be regulars at El Marisquero - their food is worth every cent!
We were in the downtown area and decided to try this on a Friday afternoon. I liked that it's very well covered so rain or shine you can go here. We tried two kinds of ceviche and a shrimp taco. the ceviche with mango - it was good but was lacking lime and citrus flavor but overall the choices of seafood was greatly balanced with the red onion and tomato and all. 3 Amigos ceviche - this was really nicely done with the zest, citrus flavor and the combo of all i ingredients. it just happened to be a tad on the saltier side ( may have been just today's batch that had too much salt). Really enjoyed that both ceviches did come with good amount of crunchy tostada. We also tried the shrimp taco. Their house chipotle sauce on the shrimp taco was a chefs kiss and levered the flavor so well.
Food truck only open from 12-7. They have covered area with picnic tables and decent parking. All of the food was really good but the stand out dishes for me were the Baja tacos. 1 per order but they were crispy and had a nice fish portion. The seafood tower was really large and the seafood was fresh. the mango ceviche was another top favorite. It was a little different than the other ceviches since it had the fresh mango and the sushi grade tuna. The soup lacked a lot flavor it was probably our least favorite dish. The fried fish was overcooked and small for the price.
This place is a solid 3 for me. I came here hoping to find flavors similar to what I grew up with back home--west of the San Bernardino Mountains--but this wasn't it. At first, I was excited when I pulled up and saw the word "Sinaloense" on the truck, but the taste didn't match the promise. They don't even offer house-made salsas--just bottled hot sauces. As some reviews already mention, the food lacks flavor. Yes, the portions are generous and you'll leave full, but it's not enjoyable when the food is bland and you're constantly swatting away flies. Honestly, this would work better as a sit-down restaurant than a food truck. I suspect the hype comes from social media "influencers." I found this spot through YouTube while searching for authentic Mexican seafood, but if your taste buds are expecting Pacific-style seafood, this place isn't it.
I was craving aguachile after having it a few months ago in San Diego. I found this truck after some googling, and the aguachile here didn't quite hit the mark for me, but that's ok. There's a small parking lot adjacent to the seating area, behind the white food truck. There are two of them, one white and one blue. This is honestly probably the nicest food truck set up I've seen in Austin. Dedicated parking lot and structured covered seating. They played music really loudly. We didn't mind the music, but we minded the volume. We thought it could've been turned down a few steps. Food was served quickly after ordering. Service was good! We ordered a full order of aguachile camaron y callo (shrimp and scallops), rojo. That was a mistake lol we should've done verde. I normally like spicy food, but this was so spicy for me that if there were any other flavors, the spice covered it all. I'm actually not sure if there was anything else beyond the sour and spice, though. I was expecting more flavor, like what we'd had in San Diego, but that's not what we got. And after five or so bites, I couldn't taste anything other than spice. The ceviche was good, but I think it had too many onions and tomatoes. There didn't seem to be a balance between the ratio of ingredients. My bf got the baja taco with fish, and he said it was good. Hot, but good. I didn't try it, but I'm taking his word for it since he didnt have any criticism for it. If I'm ever down south again and craving aguachile, I might give this place another chance and order something different.

Quick review on a couple items: I'd get the baja taco over the grilled taco and the ceviche was plenty! Good flavor and it was fresh! What I really want to talk about is the quesadilla de camaron. OH. MY. GOD! That was, hands down, the BEST quesadilla I have ever had in my life. The flavors were phenomenal. I didn't take a good enough picture that included all of it, but I will buy that quesadilla every time I come to Austin. You will die sad and unfulfilled if you miss an opportunity to buy the quesadilla de camaron from Marisquero Seafood!
Obsessed! As a native Floridian, I absolutely love fresh seafood and have missed it so much since moving to Austin. The food at El Marisquero is not only the highest quality, but most delicious seafood I've had in Texas. These people know what they're doing! And out of a food truck?! Just trust it. I've tried their fish tacos, shrimp tacos, tostadas and ceviche. Every thing I've tried has been incredibly impressive and leaves me wanting to try more. The team is also super friendly and seem like great people to support. I love watching this business thrive!

Also, it's BYOB so definitely bring something cold to sip on with your meal. Great flavors, chill vibes, and unbeatable value. We'll definitely be back!
Food truck with diverse fish options. The tacos are $6 each and they are substantial. Homemade pico de gallo, slaw, and sauce. There's an array of hot sauces available to spice up your experience, too. The ceviche is the star of the show. We enjoyed it immensely. For $20, it was enough to feed both of us. Service was solid. It's a food truck, so don't expect a lot from an ambiance perspective, but I sure did appreciate their sun shade and multiple fans running while we were there! El Marisquero, go check it out!
As a native San Diegan I'm always on the lookout for So Cal style Mexican food as well as good seafood, both of which can be tough to find. Hence my pleasure at finding this place, through all of your recommendations! My main craving at the time was fish tacos, so I got two, which ended up being a ton of (delicious) food. The fried bread fish portions are very generous, to say the least! And it's proper white fish, not Mahi Mahi which you often find in these parts. And the ceviche tasted great as well and is also highly recommended. And prices were very reasonable. One thing to keep in mind is it IS a food truck, though covered seating is available.

100% recommend! It's clean, priced fairly and the food was authentic Mexican style mariscos. Una trailita con gente amable y super buenísimo comida! Portions are large, we couldn't finish most of our food and the quality matches the cost. Will be back soon to try the caldito and pescado frito. read more

If you like spicy seafood cocktails, you'll love El Marisquero! Parked behind a gas station off I-35 this was an odd location but the owners definitely added some TLC to create a beach vibe. We tried the ceviche de camarón tostada and it was all the spicies!!! Refreshing lunch on a searing hot day. We will be back to try the tacos once the weather cools down a bit! read more
Absolutely delicious!! The seafood didn't have that fishy smell or taste! I found that it was affordable compared to the size of the taco! The shrimp and cheese quesadilla/taco was my favorite! Make sure to get the green salsa it will wrap all the flavors together! Definitely will be back to try more! read more

Cave here for the first time based on reviews I had read. The reviews weren't lying. I ordered the aguachile with black sauce. Whoa, you better be ready for some heat with the black sauce. There is a green sauce but I haven't tried it yet. I also got a governor and a Baja fish. All 3 orders were massive. I split each one into either 2 tacos or 2 tostadas. I'll definitely be going back to this place read more
Long, long overdue review for El Marisquero. I've been more than a few times since they've been open, originally being seduced by their IG page with the promise of yummy ceviche. Everything I've had here has been phenomenal! All of the seafood and fish is always fresh and top quality. Chatting with the owners is always a joy. they're always quick to let you know what is, or isn't available that day and to help you make decisions. If they suggest a special, even if you aren't sure just trust them. It'll be tasty, I promise. My faves: quesadillas gobernador, aquachiles, shrimp and fish tacos and the ceviche tostadas. I drive cross town to grab food here whenever I'm able. So, so good. read more

I absolutely love this food truck. The seafood is really fresh and the flavors are bold and delicious. I highly recommend the Tres Amigos Ceviche and the Green Aguachile. Be prepared for some heat though. read more
