I was craving aguachile after having it a few months ago in San Diego. I found this truck after some googling, and the aguachile here didn't quite hit the mark for me, but that's ok. There's a small parking lot adjacent to the seating area, behind the white food truck. There are two of them, one white and one blue. This is honestly probably the nicest food truck set up I've seen in Austin. Dedicated parking lot and structured covered seating. They played music really loudly. We didn't mind the music, but we minded the volume. We thought it could've been turned down a few steps. Food was served quickly after ordering. Service was good! We ordered a full order of aguachile camaron y callo (shrimp and scallops), rojo. That was a mistake lol we should've done verde. I normally like spicy food, but this was so spicy for me that if there were any other flavors, the spice covered it all. I'm actually not sure if there was anything else beyond the sour and spice, though. I was expecting more flavor, like what we'd had in San Diego, but that's not what we got. And after five or so bites, I couldn't taste anything other than spice. The ceviche was good, but I think it had too many onions and tomatoes. There didn't seem to be a balance between the ratio of ingredients. My bf got the baja taco with fish, and he said it was good. Hot, but good. I didn't try it, but I'm taking his word for it since he didnt have any criticism for it. If I'm ever down south again and craving aguachile, I might give this place another chance and order something different.

Grilled tacos left, baja tacos right

I've been waiting for mind blowing food to bring back my yelp and I found it here!!! Order: baja tacos, grilled tacos, quesadilla de camaron, the tres amigos ceviche. Quick review on a couple items: I'd get the baja taco over the grilled taco and the ceviche was plenty! Good flavor and it was fresh! What I really want to talk about is the quesadilla de camaron. OH. MY. GOD! That was, hands down, the BEST quesadilla I have ever had in my life. The flavors were phenomenal. I didn't take a good enough picture that included all of it, but I will buy that quesadilla every time I come to Austin. You will die sad and unfulfilled if you miss an opportunity to buy the quesadilla de camaron from Marisquero Seafood!

Shrimp tacos - the best!

Obsessed! As a native Floridian, I absolutely love fresh seafood and have missed it so much since moving to Austin. The food at El Marisquero is not only the highest quality, but most delicious seafood I've had in Texas. These people know what they're doing! And out of a food truck?! Just trust it. I've tried their fish tacos, shrimp tacos, tostadas and ceviche. Every thing I've tried has been incredibly impressive and leaves me wanting to try more. The team is also super friendly and seem like great people to support. I love watching this business thrive!

El Marisquero is hands down the best place to get ceviche in Austin. We came here for the first time and were seriously impressed. The ceviche was the star of the show as it was super fresh, perfectly seasoned, and a generous portion. Everyone at our table loved what they got. There was a bit of a line when we arrived, which honestly just confirmed how good the food was going to be. It's a small spot with limited parking on the side, so plan accordingly. Also, it's BYOB so definitely bring something cold to sip on with your meal. Great flavors, chill vibes, and unbeatable value. We'll definitely be back!

Food truck with diverse fish options. The tacos are $6 each and they are substantial. Homemade pico de gallo, slaw, and sauce. There's an array of hot sauces available to spice up your experience, too. The ceviche is the star of the show. We enjoyed it immensely. For $20, it was enough to feed both of us. Service was solid. It's a food truck, so don't expect a lot from an ambiance perspective, but I sure did appreciate their sun shade and multiple fans running while we were there! El Marisquero, go check it out!

10s all accross the board! The young man taking our order was kind and helpful & even made some great suggestions. The outdoor seating is perfect even on a warm day. The food was very very good! Flavor, portions, exquisite. When they tell you a sauce is going to be hot, trust them!

As a native San Diegan I'm always on the lookout for So Cal style Mexican food as well as good seafood, both of which can be tough to find. Hence my pleasure at finding this place, through all of your recommendations! My main craving at the time was fish tacos, so I got two, which ended up being a ton of (delicious) food. The fried bread fish portions are very generous, to say the least! And it's proper white fish, not Mahi Mahi which you often find in these parts. And the ceviche tasted great as well and is also highly recommended. And prices were very reasonable. One thing to keep in mind is it IS a food truck, though covered seating is available.

I love Baja Fish Tacos (BFT's) like the ones I ate in San Diego for many years. I have found the local Austin versions of BFT's to be lacking in taste and substance but this place has fresh, tasty and fulfilling BFT's and I since it specializes in Mex seafood offerings I suspect there's more goodness left to discover. The Tacos were cooked to order, the tender and lightly breaded whitefish portion was tasty and easily double the size I've found in other local fish tacos. The fresh Pico was delicious and generous and the crema tied it all together so well. Seriously, these are excellent BFT's and are well worth seeking out. One of the workers must have noticed my walking cane so he made a point of bringing my order out to me, a lovely courtesy. I wish these folks all the best, they're doing good work and putting other, more renown taco purveyors to shame.

Tostiviches - camarón y pulpo

100% recommend! It's clean, priced fairly and the food was authentic Mexican style mariscos. Una trailita con gente amable y super buenísimo comida! Portions are large, we couldn't finish most of our food and the quality matches the cost. Will be back soon to try the caldito and pescado frito.

Hands down best marisco food truck in austin I cannot believe I didn't found them before, ceviche is donde the proper way ! With avocado, ketchup and Clamato, their tostadas are amazing and if you're true Mexican Los aguachiles están deliciosos! Todas las Bs. Excellent service

If you like spicy seafood cocktails, you'll love El Marisquero! Parked behind a gas station off I-35 this was an odd location but the owners definitely added some TLC to create a beach vibe. We tried the ceviche de camarón tostada and it was all the spicies!!! Refreshing lunch on a searing hot day. We will be back to try the tacos once the weather cools down a bit!

Food was really good but way understaffed long wait to just place an order. Should consider having more than one person when opening.

Review: The Quintessential Austin Morning BBQ Stop Stepping…read moreup to this Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ award winner, nestled amongst a cluster of other quality food trucks, a neighboring coffee shop, and a diner--the quintessential Austin food truck experience--you immediately feel the buzz. With nice outdoor seating perfect for takeout dining, this spot is truly a phenomenal way to start the day. If you've ever wondered about the difference between a "Top 100" and a "Top 50" joint, this place provides the answer: it's pure, unadulterated excellence, likely placing it closer to the top of that elite list. The Meats: Brisket is King The star of the show, without a doubt, is the Brisket. It is absolutely top-notch and comes with our highest recommendation. We sampled both the lean and the juicy cuts, and both were executed flawlessly. The meat featured that great, peppery bark you would expect from the best Austin barbecue establishments. The flavor was deep, smoky, and utterly satisfying. Moving on to the smoked sausage, the Jalapeño and Cheddar Sausage was a huge hit. It boasted great flavor and a satisfying snap from the casing. The mixture of jalapeño spice and creamy, cheesy goodness was perfectly balanced. We especially appreciated the nice, coarse double grind, giving it an excellent texture. The Breakfast Service This spot proves that great BBQ isn't just for lunch. The menu features several creative breakfast items: * Brisket Egg and Cheese Biscuit: This was a solid breakfast choice. However, in a testament to the quality of the main ingredient, we felt that as good as the brisket was, it honestly didn't need the addition of the egg and cheese! * Blueberry Gouda Sausage Biscuit: A fantastic sweet and savory treat, capitalizing on the excellent flavor of the Gouda sausage. The Gouda sausage itself was spot on, offering a rich counterpoint to the fruit. Sides & Dessert Critique The sides offered a mix of stellar hits and minor missed. * Pimento Cheese Grits: These were a true highlight--nice and creamy with an outstanding mix of savory and cheesy flavors. * Biscuits: While very good, they were a little on the dry and dense side. Personally, I prefer a flakier biscuit, but they were certainly serviceable. * Inside Out Cinnamon Roll: Made using their signature biscuit dough with a cinnamon swirl, the cream cheese filling was sandwiched decadently between two biscuit halves. The cream cheese was smooth, rich, and truly decadent in flavor, making this a standout dessert treat. * Hash Browns: The only weak link in the entire meal. These were clearly just purchased hash brown triangles and offered nothing special. For a place of this caliber, they really should consider upgrading this side to a homemade, more interesting preparation. Verdict: This BBQ joint earns its Top 50 status. Come for the brisket, stay for the grits and the unique sausage offerings. It's an essential Austin stop.

I ordered an al pastor taco and chips with queso from CJ's tacos right before they closed at 7pm. The taco was good (a little greasy) but much better once you add the green sauce they serve with it on top. The queso was really tasty, like a better version of the tostitos queso. The food trucks are in a circle and surround a playground in the middle. It is a cool venue and while I wouldn't call it particularly nice, it is fairly clean. After the taco appetizer, we ordered gnocchi pomodoro and the casarecce with basil pesto and tomatoes from Artipasta with tiramisu for dessert. The pesto was good, but lacking in flavor a bit. The gnocchi were delicious, great texture and a wonderful tomato sauce. We honestly should have placed two orders for the gnocchi and skipped the casarecce. My friends liked the tiramisu but said it was a bit different from a traditional tiramisu. We wanted to try a vodka pizza from Day's Pizza but they were completely sold out for the day (no dough left). We tried the paneer entree and aloo paratha from the Desi Spot. The food took awhile to come out and I would have liked a few more pieces of paneer but it was all delicious. Overall a cool spot and a nice way to try a bunch of different food trucks and cuisines at once. Just check the hours for the food trucks you want to try before you go.
