Awesome food Great service and explanation and recommendations from the register and Ambiance is impeccable especially connecting to the Line hotel and outdoor pool. Inside was quite mystical in a cave like industrial appearance but with out door seating, then on the side you have a study like chic bar with low couch and table combo as well as side row of tables and group searing lounge feel. All the decor and decorations spell Chic and cozy, bathroom is also modern vintage. And the food... Especially their vegan options are Wow And Yum. Best Vegan soft Corn tortilla taco we ever had! Appetizer: Vegan cheese and chips Food: Definitely get their Vegan "El Differente" taco and "Furioso taco" As well as tried to fish taco and shrimp taco, both are delicious especially with the salsa and hot sauce. Drink: definitely try their Green Cucumber juice, Yum A must check out spot when you visit Austin !
Veracruz has been on my list to try for a long time and since I don't live in the area anymore, it's taken me a while to get here but oh my goodness, I cannot wait to come back. You order from a food truck, get a number, then find a seat at one of the many outdoor tables - some of which is covered. Radio coffee is next door so I'm not certain if you're able to bring the tacos inside if you're also enjoying Radio coffee but maybe if the weather is super crazy they might allow it. Lucky for me, this visit had perfect weather. I am typically a two taco gal, but I really wanted a third by the time I finished my two. I ordered the migas taco (egg, tortilla chips, tomato, onion, cilantro, Monterey Jack cheese, and avocado) and the Doña Reyna taco (mole negro, grilled chicken, onion, and queso fresco). I always love a midges taco but wow the Doña Reyna taco blew me away - so much flavor with the mole negro. Counting down the days until my next visit (sadly nearly a year away) so I can indulge again.
Veracruz is located in a neat area that shares outdoor communal tables with another restaurant. It's essentially a taco truck but permanently stationed in somewhat of a campsite with the dirt paths. Coming from LA, I have high standards when it comes to my tacos but this place delivered. If you're a fan of spicy, the salsa definitely has a kick. Meats were marinated well and I enjoyed the avocado that accompanied the tacos. This place is worth a visit if you're craving Mexican!
Veracruz's truck is tucked away in the patio area of Radio Coffee and Bar - tons of shaded seating available! Service was quick on a Friday afternoon. The al pastor was packed with meat, cilantro, onions, and pineapple. The meat was well marinated and the green sauce provided a perfect kick! I would get this again. The breakfast taco wasn't my favorite, but maybe I'm just not a breakfast taco person. It was definitely very filling. I was stuffed after two tacos! Veracruz satisfied my taco cravings, and I'd come again next time I'm in the area. Parking is a little tricky on the street but there is a lot across the street that several patrons seemed to park in without issue. Take this with a grain of salt!
I had never been to radio coffee before so I didn't know what to expect, but I had heard about Veracruz, so it was a no-brainer to try it out. Veracruz is worth the hype!! They make great classic food truck Mexican food, had a lengthy menu, and their service was quick despite the long line. It's the perfect meal to eat out on the patio, and I'll definitely be going back.
Service was great. The migas tacos were a bit pricey, but yummy pricey. We initially thought the tacos were pricey, but after taking a bite, we didn't regret paying that much for it. We were delighted to experience a crunch factor in our bites--you definitely need to eat it immediately to experience that.
Good location. It's inside Radio coffee. The quality is consistent with Veracruz restaurants.
Let's talk about value first: $6.50-7 per taco from a food truck is pretty steep, especially when the tacos are this tiny. I expect either generous portions or amazing flavors at that price, and unfortunately, this was neither. The grilled fish taco was kind of forgettable. It was decent. The al pastor was disappointing. Meet was really dry, and there were barely any pineapples.
Some delicious breakfast tacos. My favorite was the el differente. It's a vegan taco with mushrooms, peppers, corn and refried beans. Second was the steak and shrimp. The shrimp was a bit spicy. So good. We ordered 7 tacos and all were decent. There was a wait but they text you when food is ready so you can find seats to wait.
First off, the staff was SO NICE!! Dayani needs a raise She was so sweet & welcoming, plus she gave the best taco recommendations! We ordered the Al pastor, grilled steak, and el Sancho tacos and they were all amazingggg!! The seating area was also really cute surrounded by food trucks. 10/10 would come back for these delicious tacos and great service!!
Awesome breakfast tacos. We stopped at this location for one more order on the way out of town. This is the taco truck and you can sit at the benches. Best breakfast tacos ever!!!!!

It's alright. Not really sure what the hype is all about. There are better tacos for less $ @ dozens of places. You need to take out a loan to get some chips and (boring) salsa. Barbacoa - tasty but greasier than required. Dona Reyna - I know mole is an acquired taste but this one tastes burnt. Grilled chicken - dry and tough. Al Pastor - best of the 4 and the only one I'd buy again. Tortillas (maiz y de harina) are really good. Don't tell me your ingredients are that much better than anyone else. You've developed a cult following of bougie gringos and are capitalizing on it. Good on ya, ya good ole' damned capitalists! read more

This is a cute food truck at Radio that is really popular and saved the day for me and my date. We were hungry and weren't in the mood for a burger and the Thai place was closed, so we ate here. The price, service and food were all A+. You can order on line but it was quicker to walk up and order instead. If you haven't been to Radio, go check it out as there's a big outdoor seating area with tons of seating. If you want tasty tacos at a good price, Veracruz is your place. We also got the guacamole and cheese with chips with our order. read more

We stopped here to order to go. The food was good. I got my tacos a with corn tortilla and the tortilla does fall apart but it's delicious. It's probably best to eat into. I got their hibiscus water and it's is so tasty I highly recommend it. Their salsas are very authentic, I love the green salsa. Service to take out order was quick. The vibe of the place is casual and homie. Their salsa station was very clean. read more

I came for authentic Mexican tacos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the expectations. I ordered two Al Pastor tacos, which traditionally come with pineapple, but these had little to none. The flavors felt more catered to a trend than tradition. Ambience-- The truckeroo certainly puts effort into its branding and presentation -- from eco-friendly paper receipts to a minimalist aesthetic that includes brown paper bags. It's a modern, market-savvy setup. Again, prices are on the higher side, especially considering the absence of beverage options. read more

Vegan-friendly, accessible, and reasonably priced! My go-to used to be the La Reyna, no egg/no cheese. It's got a vibrant rainbow of veggies on a handmade corn tortilla, complete with avocado. They've also got a cashew queso that won't leave you wanting, and now there are more taco options that include the El Diferente, featuring potatoes and mushrooms, and Furioso, with cauliflower and salsa macha. You can't go wrong with any of these. I've had quick service ordering in person, almost no wait, but of course timing is everything. Open early and (reasonably) late, covering all of your taco needs here parked out at Radio Coffee & Beer. read more
Ambiance of this place is pretty cool. It's a group of food trucks surrounding some seating and a bar. Service was quick and they were friendly. The tacos were not bad however, it's not really something I would return to. I tried 4 different tacos and the flavors weren't as cohesive as they had the potential to be. The ingredients felt a little separate and weren't totally balanced. One of the tacos I had was the shrimp macha taco. The sauce overshadowed the shrimp and the other ingredients that it had (rice, avocado, and green onions). The other ingredients felt thrown in there rather than complimentary. The overall experience felt more like eating shrimp drowned in sauce with a tortilla, rather than a cohesive taco where every element enhances the flavor. That's pretty much how I felt about all of the tacos I tried unfortunately. There's definitely room for improvement read more

I can say these are basic tacos. We ordered barbacoa, steak and shrimp tacos. Tacos wise the steak was the best but the corn tortillas were falling apart so it ruined the experience. The barbacoa would have been better with just onions and cilantro. The cabbage throws off the flavor..finally the shrimp was the least favorite. The red sauce on the shrimp taco ruined the entire thing. Chips were the star but the queso was not. I love cheese and nothing about the queso was good. I came here for lunch on a Tuesday. I ordered online the day before, and my food was ready to be picked up within 5 minutes of the time I had scheduled. I tried the al pastor taco (marinated pork with cilantro, onion, and grilled pineapple) and the shrimp macha taco (shrimp in salsa macha with green onions, avocado and rice). I wasn't a fan of the rice in the shrimp taco. It was sticky, and the taco tasted better without it. There was very little pineapple in the al pastor taco, but I still preferred it over the shrimp one. They're not the best tacos, but I enjoyed them and it was worth it to check out the area. This is one of several food trucks in front of Radio Coffee & Beer. There's lots of outdoor seating and a really nice atmosphere. One drawback is parking - they have very few parking spots in the front, and a small parking lot in the back that was almost full on a Tuesday afternoon. I can't imagine finding parking during peak hours. read more

Can't go wrong with grilled chicken! I love the flavors-it is a little spicy, and the onion spices it up even more but the blend of the flavors is masterful and makes it super yummy. It is very filling too! Lots of seating in front of the truck. There are also parking spaces. Order online or in person. They will text you when the order is ready! Great place to just chill and eat good food! There are other food trucks too. read more
Met a new friend here on a gorgeous Sunday. I have to say that this place is going to be a favorite, when visiting Radio Coffee & Beer. You can order online, or at the window. I ordered the chicken quesadillas (with no lettuce), but what I received was some afternoon delight! This dish was filling, and what I love even more was that there were plenty of condiments for the entire quesadilla! Some places can be quite skimpy on them, but today, I was able to enjoy each bite with a guacamole/ sour cream/pico/ sauce combo, until the end. The chicken was plentiful, and the quesadillas were nice and thick. I look forward to visiting again soon. read more

While I was in Austin, I had a couple coworkers recommend going to Radio Coffee & Beer - not for the beer garden but for the Veracruz taco truck located there. I was excited to find another great taco spot in Austin and Veracruz did not disappoint. I've been twice now and tried almost half the menu. The salsas are really special and complement the tacos well. The red salsa is smoky and spicy from the roasted chilies, while the green one seems to be avocado-based and is perfectly mild and creamy. I've had the barbacoa, steak, al pastor, shrimp macha, and el sancho tacos as well as the chicken quesadilla. The barbacoa and al pastor were especially hefty, messy tacos, with great portions of meat. The home-made corn tortillas had no chance of holding up against the gelatinous and fatty cow head, but that's worth it for the flavor. In comparison, the shrimp and el sancho were a little less fatty and saucy - a bit easier to eat while trying to have a conversation and drink beer at the same time. Definitely need to come back and try out the migas tacos which they're known for! read more

Omg soooo good. Chicken Mole Taco Fish Taco Al Pastor I loved the tilapia with the avocado and red sauce, tasted so sweet and paired perfectly together. Chicken Mole was so rich and flavorful, the sauce got everywhere there was no way to eat this gracefully. The Al Pastor was good but dulled in comparison with the Mole in terms of flavor. Maybe eat the Al Pastor first If you order both. Grab a cup of coffee or beer while you wait for your order at Radio City Beer and Coffee. Plenty of outdoor seating and parking. read more

Pleasantly surprised by keto-friendly options and huge portion sizes! Hidden gem! I ordered No Tortilla on my tacos and got these HUGE bowls of taco fillings. AMBIENCE - 7/10 -- Great outdoors. Bird pooped on my friend though. Nearby Radio Cafe has great restrooms and infinite lukewarm water, self-serve in plastic cups! SERVICE - 8/10 -- Estimated service is shown online but may be a few minutes off. Excellent service, they give extra sauces if you ask! QUALITY - 4/10 -- Delish and scrumptious! That said, found chorizo and some meats a bit salty, and flavor was decent -- there wasn't too much to find in each individual bite, and it was overall solid taco fillings but not phenomenal. Quantity over quality for sure. -3 stars for the day after (see Edit) VALUE - 10/10 -- Huge portion sizes for the no-tortilla option is the star here! OVERALL - 8/10 -- Four stars for the tacos. Unexpectedly epic keto options bumps this one narrowly to five stars! ($4+tax for big tray of eggs, chorizo, Monterey Jack). Would eat here again for the protein value! But not four tacos...
