Hands down one of THE BEST tacos I've had, and that's including San Diego tacos! This was such a great find, I cannot believe we never tried it until now. I got 3 tacos - campechano, pastor, barbacoa. All were great, but my favorite is the pastor, the marinade is just on another level. Bf ordered a carne burrito and omg the meat is so tender, juicy and so full of flavor. I'm drooling as I type this! Definitely highly recommend this spot, hidden in west gate area. Check Google for the exact location because the one listed here is incorrect. Only two tables so seating is limited. The food can take a while to cook (at least it did when we went and there was only one person ahead of us) but it's worth it so be patient. I promise you'll love it!

Going down south for Sunday breakfast tacos. A truck called Michoacanos. Did my typical chorizo and egg and bacon and egg on flour to test things. Flour tortillas were average. Good flavor. A bit too thick. Warmed slightly. I should say here that both salsas I got were pretty watery. Red salsa had some great, but too watery to be any good. Eggs were good in both, but the bacon left a lot to be desired. Very fatty. Not cooked enough. The chorizo was good. Substantial amount. About $4 per taco. Two was a meal. Pretty average score for me unfortunately. Nothing bad, but not particularly good either. Three stars.

The best place in Austin to get quesabirria!! I go here once every two weeks because of how good it is:)

Great taco truck! I was recommended the quesobirria tacos. Bummer they don't come individually and only in orders of three. I wanted to try more. The tacos were perfectly crispy and packed with cheese - good bang for the buck. The highlight of the menu were the salsas. A creamy green and dark red made the tacos pop and had tremendous flavor.

Oh man oh man. These tacos were delicious. I will say that I thought I had a spice tolerance until I had these tacos. I got the spicy quesobirrias. It was SO delicious but also SUPER SPICY. My body was on fire. Regardless it super great. The workers are super friendly too! Special shout out to the horchata for helping cool my system down a bit...not really... but it was great.

Posting review for Autenticos Michoacán #2 - the smaller white food truck. I'm not sure what delicious Mexican voodoo happens inside that food trailer but lawd have mercy the pastor burrito was by far the best I've ever had. Fresh, filling, and absolutely the perfect flavor profile. Note: this is true Michoacán style food, NOT Tex Mex. Will 100% have this spot in heavy rotation for as long as my arteries can handle it. Delicious.

This place is insanely good. So good that we ordered quesabirrias tacos for lunch to split and realized we needed two orders and ordered again for dinner. They are the best tacos I've ever had and the consume is delicious. Salsa is fire and all that you want spice level. I'm excited to be frequenting this food truck in the future and trying other menu items + agua frescas.

Aaaaamaazing! We checked this place out after a friend's recommendation and we absolutely enjoyed the food. Wasn't ideal temperature wise since we were dying from the heat, but luckily we also ordered a watermelon smoothie which cooled us down. The meat was great and the corn Tortilla quality was perfect. I would definitely recommend eating there since it comes out fresh. We initially ordered 3 tacos (bistec, barbacoa, & pastor), but saw someone else order the quesobirrias and had to try it ourselves. I'm so had we did because the quesobirrias were amazing. They have two options: spicy and nonspicy with Pico de Gallo and a slice of avocado. They were both really good and the spicy definitely had a kick (which I love!) Todos son sabrosos y iremos otra vez (y pronto)

I live just 1 minute away and drive by the Bread Basket on Jones Road everyday where they are parked. I noticed they were new in the parking lot but they had a line of people. First of all I will start by saying I refuse to pay for Mexican food because being Mexican I have high expectations and most places in Austin are not good at all. I gave this place a shot and it is so good. They have two picnic tables with umbrellas and I sat there to enjoy my meal. Very authentic tasting. I got the huarache with bistec and a cantaloupe agua fresca. The huarache was decent size with the perfect amount of toppings on it. I love that the agua frescas are made to order so they are fresh and the cup size they give you are big! I have not tried anything else on the menu and already went back 3 times but I do recommended those items. I did try the elote in cup on my third visit and it was good but they don't use lime in it which is my only complaint. They seem to always have people and have orders coming in through Door Dash.

The tacos served at this food truck are amazing, they are some of the best tacos I've had. The tacos are authentic and have incredible flavor. I particularly enjoy the Carnitas and Chorizo tacos. The taco sauce was also very good, the green sauce had an amazing flavor and added a spicy element to the tacos. If you enjoy tacos and Mexican food you will not go wrong ordering from this food truck. Their food is better than most Mexican restaurants.

Review: The Quintessential Austin Morning BBQ Stop Stepping…read moreup to this Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ award winner, nestled amongst a cluster of other quality food trucks, a neighboring coffee shop, and a diner--the quintessential Austin food truck experience--you immediately feel the buzz. With nice outdoor seating perfect for takeout dining, this spot is truly a phenomenal way to start the day. If you've ever wondered about the difference between a "Top 100" and a "Top 50" joint, this place provides the answer: it's pure, unadulterated excellence, likely placing it closer to the top of that elite list. The Meats: Brisket is King The star of the show, without a doubt, is the Brisket. It is absolutely top-notch and comes with our highest recommendation. We sampled both the lean and the juicy cuts, and both were executed flawlessly. The meat featured that great, peppery bark you would expect from the best Austin barbecue establishments. The flavor was deep, smoky, and utterly satisfying. Moving on to the smoked sausage, the Jalapeño and Cheddar Sausage was a huge hit. It boasted great flavor and a satisfying snap from the casing. The mixture of jalapeño spice and creamy, cheesy goodness was perfectly balanced. We especially appreciated the nice, coarse double grind, giving it an excellent texture. The Breakfast Service This spot proves that great BBQ isn't just for lunch. The menu features several creative breakfast items: * Brisket Egg and Cheese Biscuit: This was a solid breakfast choice. However, in a testament to the quality of the main ingredient, we felt that as good as the brisket was, it honestly didn't need the addition of the egg and cheese! * Blueberry Gouda Sausage Biscuit: A fantastic sweet and savory treat, capitalizing on the excellent flavor of the Gouda sausage. The Gouda sausage itself was spot on, offering a rich counterpoint to the fruit. Sides & Dessert Critique The sides offered a mix of stellar hits and minor missed. * Pimento Cheese Grits: These were a true highlight--nice and creamy with an outstanding mix of savory and cheesy flavors. * Biscuits: While very good, they were a little on the dry and dense side. Personally, I prefer a flakier biscuit, but they were certainly serviceable. * Inside Out Cinnamon Roll: Made using their signature biscuit dough with a cinnamon swirl, the cream cheese filling was sandwiched decadently between two biscuit halves. The cream cheese was smooth, rich, and truly decadent in flavor, making this a standout dessert treat. * Hash Browns: The only weak link in the entire meal. These were clearly just purchased hash brown triangles and offered nothing special. For a place of this caliber, they really should consider upgrading this side to a homemade, more interesting preparation. Verdict: This BBQ joint earns its Top 50 status. Come for the brisket, stay for the grits and the unique sausage offerings. It's an essential Austin stop.

I think some are open in the morning/afternoon and others in the afternoon/evening. I ordered an al pastor taco and chips with queso from CJ's tacos right before they closed at 7pm. The taco was good (a little greasy) but much better once you add the green sauce they serve with it on top. The queso was really tasty, like a better version of the tostitos queso. The food trucks are in a circle and surround a playground in the middle. It is a cool venue and while I wouldn't call it particularly nice, it is fairly clean. After the taco appetizer, we ordered gnocchi pomodoro and the casarecce with basil pesto and tomatoes from Artipasta with tiramisu for dessert. The pesto was good, but lacking in flavor a bit. The gnocchi were delicious, great texture and a wonderful tomato sauce. We honestly should have placed two orders for the gnocchi and skipped the casarecce. My friends liked the tiramisu but said it was a bit different from a traditional tiramisu. We wanted to try a vodka pizza from Day's Pizza but they were completely sold out for the day (no dough left). We tried the paneer entree and aloo paratha from the Desi Spot. The food took awhile to come out and I would have liked a few more pieces of paneer but it was all delicious. Overall a cool spot and a nice way to try a bunch of different food trucks and cuisines at once. Just check the hours for the food trucks you want to try before you go.
