Today was our first time trying Tejas Birria Tacos. We're from Ensenada, and Michoacán, México, and let me tell you. These tacos did not disappoint. The food was delicious, but the customer service was even better. Diego Jonathan, our server, went above and beyond for us. We just wished the salsa had a bit more spice, but he gladly grilled some chiles to give it that extra kick. It made the experience even better. This food truck is located at the yard near the outdoor pickleball courts. Since I saw their birria pizza I had to try it. I shared it with a buddy and I have to say it is one of the best deals for the amount of food out there. It was $35 after tip and had to be 3-4 lbs with over a pound of birria meat on it. It was essentially a giant birria quesadilla, and was tasty, but was an absolute gut bomb and super messy to eat. I would recommend taking it to go if you try it. read more

My food was ready on time since I live 35 minutes away. Once I got into my truck I checked my food and was not too thrilled with how the consume looked but once I got home and added the onions, cilantro and lime it was a hit! Now for the tacos! The Birria meat here is a little on the dry side and it's not cheesey enough. The flavor is there and it's not oily so that's a plus! They give you onions, cilantro and lime on the side to top as you like and I added extra meat! I've had birria now enough time from a few spots and I will say this is maybe my 2nd favorite when I need a fix here in ATX but Dona Lettis HTX is still leading in #1. If eating hot, fatty, and greasy foods in 98 degree weather is wrong, then I don't want to be right. These were tender and juicy alone, but dipped in the consomme and it was fantastic. These were your classic, solid quesabirra tacos. Nothing about them blew me away, but they were also solid and satisfying. And finishing them off with the watermelon agua fresca was so thirst quenching and perfect, especially in that heat. My daughter and I love Birria, so when she told me about this spot I said "it better be worth a 40 minute drive from North Austin"... the verdict is in and it was very much worth the drive! Not only do you get so much food but it's packed with flavor. They had a great variety of options for everyone from a single taco or a family pack! The next time im in south austin I'll be happy to order a family pack to take to my brothers. The employees were friendly and the service was fast. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place for birria tacos! We ordered quesabirria tacos and a torta, and shared. We were honestly a little more than stuffed, but worth every bit of it! The tacos were excellent and with the consomme, couldn't ask for anything better. The torta was similar tasting but obviously in sandwich form. Mannnnn tried these tacos for the first time today absolutely delicious. These tacos are heavier than they look they are stuffed to the max with beef n cheese, I couldn't make it to the 4th taco I was too full. LOTS of cilantro, onions, and lime on the side so you can use as much or as little as you want in each taco. A very big cup of broth you will not run out if you soak every bite. In all honesty, I will start by saying the birria queso tacos were legit 10/10. They were really really good. The consume was also really good. They also loaded it up with the meats. They did not skimp out whatsoever which is respectable. The wait for 3 orders of tacos and a licuado wasn't bad, it was maybe 15 minutes. They weren't extremely busy tho. I will say I wasn't dying to go back once a week, because it wasn't necessarily cheap. Also there's not maybe solid Birria options in south Austin so I can't really argue with the prices. Absolutely amazing! I've been wanting to try this place for some time now and it DID NOT disappoint! The food is flavorful, amazing, filling, and does NOT lack Meat like most places. My husband and I enjoyed Tejas Birria. The quesabirria tacos were delicious. This was the most reasonably priced Birria taco place I've been to considering the portions were large. The consommé was flavorful and delicious to dip the tacos in. It came with yummy green salsa and cilantro and onions. The food was really good but it took a while. I'd suggest coming when it's a nice day and you aren't in a hurry. There was a short line when I got there and the sitting area outside the food truck was full. I went on a Sunday and it was a beautiful day so it was crowded! I got the Birria Melt and a Mexican Coke. It was delicious. It was a pretty big sandwich, so I only ate half there and took the rest home for lunch the next day and even heated up in the microwave, it still tasted good. I really liked it the first time and absolutely adored it this last time. we picked up a couple of tortas as well as some tacos. The order was ready on time so we had to wait to get it and the staff was very friendly. we were all surprised by the amount of food we got, but it was so good that we had nothing left after we sat out. The salsa is very spicy and very delicious, but be mindful of the quantity you put on it if spicy food is not your thing. The quesibirria tacos are SO GOOD. Honestly, I think these are worth the drive from north Austin. I hope they open a north or central location in the future so I won't have to drive as far. The cheese and the meat with the soft and crispy double tortilla dipped in the consomme. So so good. If you have consomme leftover, take it home and make quesadillas and dip them!
