I literally just left the restaurant a minute ago with my to-go order of a Large Queso Compuesto with Chips and its ridiculous. I paid $13ish not including tip for this small little cup of queso and oil. I complained at the front counter regarding the size and oil content, however, the apparent manager who assisted me basically disregarded me all together. Now... I've purchased large orders of queso from several other good restaurants (Ramos, Vivos... to name a couple) and it has never been soo dang small nor has it ever been topped with soo much damn oil!!!! Also, for to-go orders typically you'd seperate the guacamole so your customer can add it chilled to the hot queso as they see fit. Note to self ( and others)... DON'T waste your hard earned money here especially if they could care less about their product. And note to Casa Garcia's Management... Atleast litsen to and acknowledge your customers! 2 incorrect meals and a laugh in the face please Had a small misunderstanding with our waitress. She must have misheard us when ordering 2 potato and bacon tacos, plus cheese and then one bean and cheese taco by itself. She confirms the amount and the type of tortilla. She was so soft spoken we hadn't really heard properly. Our food comes out and there are beans on every single taco. Once we realize we flag someone down to let them know and try to get the tacos we actually wanted. 2 seconds later and the waitress returns. Laughing and telling us she confirmed the order while handing the plate back to us. We both are very uncomfortable and insulted by the situation. Once she leaves we decide that we don't have much of an appetite now, so we flag the same young man who was very nice and helped us before, and tell him we just want our check and a box for the other plate (which was also missing a side). She comes back along with someone else to crowd around as we are just trying to leave this anxiety ridden situation. The proper way to handle a misunderstanding is never to laugh in someone's face. Nobody identified themselves as a manager in our audiance although the you man didn't charge us for the two tacos that we weren't eating. Which was kind. This entire thing was so uncomfortable. Still got charged $28, not a single correct order, and a side of belittlement. WAS a patron of this place since before the expansion even and a place I would send anybody who asked me for good Mexican food. Female customer proceeds to bring in a small canine into the restaurant establishment on a leash and was seated at an indoor table closest to the kitchen, where servers were coming in and out. This was not a service animal.  This was a household pet on a leash, the dog was sitting on the floor, while the female customer ordered food. The Waiter took her order, knowingly with a canine present at the table.  Per Section 437.025 of the Health & Safety Code, dogs are permitted ONLY outside with certain restrictions in place prior to the dog and its owner sitting. https://texas.public.law/statutes/tex._health_&_safety_code_section_437.025#google_vignette I reported this act of health violation to one of the restaurants managers immediately, her name was Teresa, who informed me that they allow dogs in all the time and that she would not ask the female customer to leave or ask her to place the dog outside the restaurant. She stated that it was ok for the dog to be indoors. I informed her that any establishment serving food in an enclosed area, with a canine inside is a direct violation of the Health and Safety code. Again, she refused again to do anything about it.  I mentioned to her that there are probably other customers in the restaurant that could be allergic and that the dogs fur could make its way into other people's food.   I have already filed a complaint with city, county and State Health agencies to inspect this restaurant for other possible violations. The fact of the matter, the restaurant did nothing about this while we were there. Very unsatisfactory conduct of this establishment and i will never step foot inside this establishment anymore.  PS: Yes, would you like to have dog hair floating around your food? This is one of my go to's especially for happy hour. The drinks are great. The food is okay as well. I am currently stuck on the chimichanga with beef fajita. The queso is great. They are very accommodating. I notice that they do a great job hosting large events as well. It can get pretty busy on high school football game days because it's close to the stadium. They have all of the games playing the screens at the bar. The patrons and staff all seem very pleasant. You can also order their drinks to go as well! read more

We went to Casa Garcia for lunch around noon with a party of eight, and it was fantastic! There was no wait, and we were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. My first visit was this past Monday, and I'm already looking forward to going back. We arrived right at 10:00 am--no wait for a table, no rush, and plenty of attentive staff around. Even as we were leaving, the place still wasn't packed, which was a nice surprise. The space has been nicely remodeled and expanded, including a separate party room. The bar area caught my eye--colorful tile, a wall of windows, and tons of natural light. It has that "hang out here next time" kind of vibe. I ordered the beef fajita migas with breakfast potatoes and refried beans, and wow--the portion was huge and everything was delicious. I'd order the same thing again in a heartbeat (and did I mention I had enough left over for another full meal?). The Colombian coffee was hot, fresh, and full of flavor--no burnt diner taste here. They make their tortillas in-house (a definite plus), and both the red and green hot sauces with chips were solid--especially the green one, which had a nice kick. All in all, it's great to find a spot where you can actually sit down and enjoy a good meal without waiting 45 minutes for a table. This place just might become a new favorite. read more

Extremely Disappointed by What Felt Like Discriminatory Seating Practices I was deeply unsettled by our experience during a recent lunch visit. My daughter and I were led through a lively, full dining area--predominantly occupied by Hispanic families--and seated in a separate back room with noticeably quieter music and a different atmosphere. That area appeared to be occupied only by white families. The contrast between the two spaces was stark, and the decision to separate us from the main dining area felt intentional and discriminatory. Regardless of the reason, the impact was alienating and uncomfortable. I hope the restaurant takes a serious look at how their seating practices affect the experience of all guests. I have to admit, I almost steered clear of this place after reading all the recent one to three star reviews. However, after liking their Manor location, I thought I would give this place a chance. We are glad we did because we enjoyed our visit. We got here after the lunch rush and the place was still about 30% full on a Friday. It is quite spacious, but it can get loud with a full crowd. Within a minute two glasses of ice water along with complimentary chips and salsa hit the table. Their red sauce is less pico and more tomato based, but it did have some pleasant heat. They have a full bar with an extensive food menu and the house frozen margarita is worth the money. From 4-7 it becomes $2 cheaper. We decided on the beef fajita burrito and beef fajita enchiladas which I recommend. Keep in mind, this is not world-class TexMex, but it does hit that spot. It is your typical mainline Tex mex, it doesn't amaze you, but usually doesn't disappoint you either, unless you have high expectations. When it's time to settle up, they'll bring that handheld device around to your table with those predetermined tips so you can run your card. Our server Ashley was really great, just make sure to ask for extra paper napkins. Would visit again. read more

Last night's to-go order was going well until I got home. The $19.99 Casa G's Sizzling Fajitas for one was a "fizzle". They left out all the guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, shredded cheese, Mexican rice and refried beans. I did receive two flour tortillas instead of three but since the quantity of meat was so sparse I didn't need the third one anyway! I called the Pflugerville location soon as I found the discrepancy and was given the opportunity to drive back over and pick it up in which I declined. A thirty minute round trip during rush hour was not in the cards. A manager was supposed to call me but that too has been left out of my order. This is a reminder to open your order and verify the contents even if it means tearing through the knot they made to keep the bag closed. The fajitas tasted great by the way. Meh! Truly mediocre food. I feel bad, as I wanted to experience better. This is not my first time here. They have revamped the restaurant and it really looks great. I wish I could say the same for the food. I consider my self a menudo connoisseur and this bowl left so much to be desired. The flavor was off and left a crappy aftertaste. No amount of lime in the world could correct it. My daughter ordered a cheese omelet for my granddaughter and omg there was enough cheese on that plate that the egg was hard to find and even the refried beans had cheese under them. Salsa was meh. My wife was meeting friends and this was a location that wasn't hard to meet at. Although it got average reviews I gave it a try so my wife could hang out with her friends. My boys and I got a separate table. There are two good-sized dining rooms, one in the back (where we sat) also has a small bar. It's also where the restrooms are fyi. We were seated almost immediately. Chips and salsa were very good. Iced tea (unsweet) also very good. That's about as good as it got for me. I ordered the Carne Guisada. It was pretty bland. My sons ordered a quesadilla and fajita nachos. They said it was pretty good. My wife later told me the margarita was okay (but was only $5). I would not go back here again.
