Stopped by on a Friday around 5. Sadly, he was out of brisket and lobster, but we got to try the chicken and carne asada taco. We also ordered the carne asada on fries. All dishes were fantastic. And they are BIG tacos; one will fill you up. The presentation, the sauces that go on each taco. Service was great, and I love that he has outdoor seating with tents for those hot, sunny days. what an amazing taco truck! their tacos aren't necessarily authentic per say but they pack a flavorful experience nonetheless !! when we got there at 3 pm on a sunday, 80% of their menu was sold out except for the fish and shrimp tacos ! to start off. the tacos are HUGEEEE. the tortillas is perfectly crispy which serves a perfect medium for the plethora of ingredients they hold. the fish taco is phenomenal truly - crispy and giant pieces of white fish, pico, and avocado. the shrimp taco was also good but the fish was better. it's the owners favorite for good reason. each table is adorned with 5-7 different hot sauces for you to try and they give free beer at the front which is so nice!! no one else was there when we went but after we sat down, the owner came out and put on some music for us!! it was a fun stop for sure read more

I wanted to try out Killer Taco for a while now and was finally able to taste their tacos. The first I went to Killer taco, it was already sold out and lunch hour had just started. This time got the tacos during the weekday. The tacos are massive, for me they looked more like burritos. The price is justified by the size. I had the Killer Chicken taco and Carne Asada. The Killer chicken was so flavorful and fresh. Gobbled it down. Carne Asada was good too but didnt compare up to chicken imo. The place is a cool looking food truck in downtown Georgetown. When they say one taco is big enough for a meal, they truly mean it. I order two tacos for myself and they warned me to only get one, but I'm too stubborn and got both. When I say I was full for the entire day, I was stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey. I love a food good truck and this spot doesn't disappoint. Just came from The Killer Tacos, and it was great! Today happens to be their two-month anniversary. The owner was honest and pleasant, and the tacos were HUGE with FREE cold beer until they can get their license. We got the brisket cowboy taco, which was moist and tender, and could beat some of the tacos from BBQ joints. The "Lobster" / Langostine Taco had good flavor too. Meat was plump and sweet. Actually, all of them were bold in flavor. The homemade tortillas were unique and addicting. Turns out, the tortillas are gluten-free and made from scratch. The onion rings were the crunchy and not limp or greasy. A fun part was being able to try all the different bottled hot sauce. They're all different at each table. These aren't traditional tacos, more like Torchy's style but much, much better. They're located right outside the noisy hustle of the square. They also serve coffee, but I was a little too late and the machine was in cleaning mode! I got two carne asada tacos, and let me tell you, these tacos are MASSIVE! They have a plethora of toppings to choose from and I recommend ALL! They melt the cheese onto the tortilla to a crispy crunchy flavor! Tortilla was almost like a home made texture like corn but flakey like the ones I've had home made. I didn't ask but unique nonetheless., Basically had a sublayer or the mashed breakfast potatoes, and then the cheese was melted onto that. Then the egg and sausage was mixed in together above that and had a assortment of spices on it as you can see in the picture. I think the sauce on it is queso too? Overall super amazing. Small local food truck with amazing tacos. The tacos are huge, one taco is plenty. They have a covered seating area and a cooler of free beers. I got a fish taco, which had slaw and sauces on top, which a crunchy taco shell. In my group, a shrimp taco and carne asada taco, all were fulling enjoyed! We also got a side of onion rings with a chipotle dipping sauce. The tables have a collection of hot sauces, we tried a few and most had some major heat. They have a few bottled Mexican sodas. Just WOW! I ordered the brisket cowboy taco, shrimp taco, and an order of barbacoa egg rolls and all were fabulous!! Fresh, hot, made to order! Most hostile environment I've ever eaten at. If you are brown or queer (or an ally), please protect your nervous system and avoid this place! I had a full blown anxiety attack after eating here because of the obvious hostility toward brown and lgbtq+ people. When I said my name to the cashier, I sensed hostility but brushed it off. When I sat down, I saw the owner's truck proudly visible to the seating area with a big sticker that says "we owe illegals nothing! We owe veterans everything! Close the border. Send em back!" Interesting as the business sells TACOS which originate from "illegals" that owned this land before it was stolen. It's also decorated with Mexican patterns and decor. The logo images are of Mexican tacos killing each other. So hostile and disrespectful. This whole place was filled with hate for Mexicans. So disgusting. My husband (white) made a joke about himself being a princess and one of the employee boys (I would say men but obviously far from it in maturity) said "I wouldn't say that out loud if I were you." So hostile. So gross. I lost my appetite. I couldn't wait to leave. I feel sick thinking I gave them even $1! So sick. This place is filled with hate. I really wanted to love this place. Food was super tasty with huge portions. My husband had the Brisket Taco and I had the Chicken with Salsa Verde. Mine came with pickled red onions, avocado, breaded chicken, cilantro and a spicy sauce. Yum! It's a food trailer with shaded outdoor seating, which meant our dog could accompany us. We just had dinner here and I'm already thinking of when to come next, the food was that good. We ordered the chicharron taco, brisket taco, octopus tostado, and torpedo panko shrimp. Everything was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. The toppings the owner uses are so fresh like the tomatoes, herbs, salsas, etc. Huge portions too and could do one taco and be satisfied. The shrimp came out hot and were so juicy. Each one was breaded to perfection and had the perfect amount of filling to breading ratio. It also comes with waffle fries! The octopus tostado was also a 10/10. Huge pieces of octopus with big chunks of avocado and a crispy tortilla with crema to balance it all out. Honestly everything was amazing and the owner, Mark, is so nice! All the tables had an assortment of sauces too which we didn't need given all the flavor but such a nice addition! My husbands office is in the gtown area him and his business partners sometimes come here for lunch, he always came home and raved about how good it was and wanted to bring the family, so this Saturday March 1st around 12 we drove 45 mins from our home to check it out, we could visibly see they were busy, no biggie, however when it came to our time to order the guy seemed overwhelmed and mentioned it would take awhile (totally understandable) we ordered our tacos I asked for the spicy slaw on the side as I cannot do spicy which seemed to ruffle his feathers so I quickly said nvm to leave it as is. We also wanted onion rings , Barbacoa egg rolls & fries for our 4 y/o who isn't a fan of tacos he responded that they were not doing fries or anything fried because it would take to long, which I replied okay that's fine and we went our way except the next family behind us who just so happened to be white ordered a basket of fries. This obviously made us upset as my babygirl didn't get anything to eat so my husband asked the guy "are y'all doing fries now" and he said "no" so my husband pointed to the family and said okay because they have fries to which he said "well they ordered a basket that comes with fries" our minds were blown because if he had just told us "no fries unless you order a basket" we would have definitely ordered a basket. Such a terrible experience, I really wanted to love this place because the food was good but the service did it for us. I LOVE Killer Taco. The tacos are so big and deliciously drippy that one is very satisfying. I have committed to eating everything on the menu. Rudy, the chef, and sometimes the one doing everything, comes out and visits with the customers. And Stacy, who just started working the window, also has a great personality and takes a personal interest in us. So far, I think the fish taco is devine, and the brisket is to die for. But today a patron told me I need to try the lobster taco before I make a finial decision. Next time I'll decide on either pulled pork, or or lobster. Oh yes, beer and soft drinks are free. Just pick what you want from the coolers. Lastly, because we have to share picnic tables with strangers, interesting conversions ensue. I always leave feeling richer ( and fuller) than when I came in. And there is a feeling of community. I give it five plus stars. The truck is 403 West 7th Street. read more
