The location is a little off the beaten path and a cute casita type of place. The kitchen is small and open air so you get to smell all the good food cooking while your waiting. Staff was welcoming and friendly! I liked that they had beers on tap and different Agua Frescas to choose from. The carnitas was so delicious. We will definitely be back.

This is where the magic happens!!!

Juan and Lupes Kitchen has to be one of my "Goto" spots for great Mexican Tortas. The flavor is so good that I don't mind the 23 minute drive to grab it. I usually do a phone order and it's ready when I arrive. Likes * Freshest bread I've experienced on a Torta in the area. * Portion size is great. We usually by two, split one and save the other for second dinner. * Excellent salsa choices. * Love the restaurant set up. You can watch your meal being prepared right there. * Service is always friendly. * Excellent flavor in the Carnitas and Carne Asada. Dislikes * Post Covid prices in effect. Bit much for a Torta. * Charge for extra salsa, so be prepared when you ask. Honestly, even being a little pricey, I still hate when I find out their closed on Sun and Mon. In Georgetown, you gotta check out. You won't be disappointed. Michael C.

This place has to be the cleanest establishment I've ever been in. First time here and the guy at the counter was super helpful and great on recommendations. The asada was my favorite taco, and the jalapeño salsa was top tier. They also have really good agua frescas. I'd go back again.

A nice taco place in Georgetown, found in Yelp with great reviews. We ordered the pork taco plate and the three tacos were delicious! The sauces were great also. The place is comfortable, has a parking lot next to it, service was fast and friendly. Limited beer selection but some nice Mexican sodas. The queso and chips was tasty and the salad very refreshing. Great place for a nice lunch or dinner.

Small place to get some delicious Tex Mex food. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The place is clean. I was met within a few seconds of entering. The server asked me to find a seat of my choosing and review the menu, then to come to the front to order. After ordering, you take a seat, and the staff brings you your order. I got my beer in a couple of minutes and waited on the tacos about 10 minutes. The tacos were excellent and filled the tortilla completely. Juan and Lupe's is on the edge of town but worth the trip!

We had an early dinner so the restaurant wasn't too terribly busy and the ambience was nice. We could talk to each other without having to speak too loudly. My husband enjoyed watching soccer on the television. Our server promptly gave us menus. Got us waters, chips, two salsas and some guacamole. My husband ordered shrimp enchiladas and I got chicken Flautas and my husband got a strawberry margarita. The food came out hot and quickly. We enjoyed it immensely & the guacamole was fantastic. My husband loved his margarita, but I had to drive home! Ha ha. And to top it off, dinner is very affordable here. Their prices are very good. Our server was Angie and she was amazing. She was very attentive to my meal because she had the knowledge of my food allergies. Our service was so good that I'm going to ask for Angie every time I come here. Since I have to be so careful when I eat because I get horribly sick if I eat any cheese or sour cream, it's nice to be confident that I can eat here without worry because Angie's got my back! She really made a difference in my experience at this restaurant. Thanks Angie:)

I've been told to not go to restaurants on Sundays or Mondays as that is when the chefs take their days off, but not here. Lots of open tables, chips and dos salsas came quickly . I had the Memos special , which is fajita meat cut up mixed with onions, bell Peppers and jalapeños, I added bacon. Man it was good! I got the Charro beans which were outstanding! As was the rice. It was a great dinner! I'm going to ask for more jalapeños next time....

I mentioned to my wife that these kinds of places often have kitchens and boy we were in luck. The man in charge, Albert, descended on us and started simultaneously asking what we wanted to order AND praising the virtues of his tamales, among other things. But he had me at "Birria". After being introduced to birria tacos by my lifelong friend, Joel, I have been a huge fan ever since. So we called an audible and decided to get an order for takeout (Albert could convince you to buy anything, I think). We got two orders of Corn QuesaBirria Tacos and the Jalapeño Popper Specialty Taco. Both were great and I especially liked the Birria Tacos, even eating my wife's portion... "You going to eat that?" The restaurant has many tables and there's enough room around the tables so one can talk comfortably without being overheard, I like that. There's plenty of room around the tables for a wheelchair and it's easy to get through the restaurant with a wheelchair, which is nice. The bathroom has railings on both sides so a person in the wheelchair can get in and out easily. There's handicapped parking right in front. My mother's in a wheelchair, so this is very helpful for me. The food is really good. The chips and salsa are great! The coffee and tea are wonderful. When I arrived, the restaurant was almost empty, which was strange to me, given the early evening hour and past visits. This place has been jampacked, standing room only. The slogan on the wall "Andamos Al Cien" Is a great goal for the bar area, but on my visit, it fell woefully short. The house margarita was barely drinkable, although the presentation was nice, the actual beverage itself in the glass was something less desirable/drinkable. The bartender commented when I ordered my next margarita, with specific ingredients, he said that should make a much better beverage than what you had the last time. Although, It was better, it was not a a great drink, it was not well balanced, something was off. The food itself, the chicken fajita quesadillas was very average food, and I have to question the chicken fajita component. The chicken did not taste that great and it tasted and appeared to be more like a shredded chicken than a fajita chicken. The flavor just wasn't up to the standard of what I have come to know and expect from a great chicken fajita. Service itself, was OK, but nothing spectacular. The bartender did a decent job of keeping my alcoholic beverage needs filled, but my water glass did not receive the attention it deserved and I had to frequently ask for it to be refilled, when I would expect that your normal server/bartender would see that it was empty and either refill it or ask if it needed to be refilled instead of waiting for me to bring it to their attention Super friendly, bartender, and I have heard great things about their food, so I am thinking I may have just caught them on an off night and will give them another chance. If this place was jampacked like it normally is, I think my experience would have been much different.

This is a very scenic and modern upscale restaurant near the heart of downtown Georgetown. The interior is nicely appointed and understatedly elegant. The inside and outside restaurant and bar areas are expansive but easily outstrip the provided parking. There is also street parking nearby, but don't be surprised if you wind up walking from nearby public lots or garages. I can easily see this place being packed. We had a reservation and were promptly seated and offered water service. As with most Mexican restaurants, there's an expansive menu, so we ordered drinks while we perused the menu. I found the Encantada margarita to be quite tasty, but it was a bit expensive. At $11 for a single serving with house liquors, closer to what we've come to expect locally for a Mexican martini (theirs was $18 with house, $24 with call). That's a bit over-the-top IMHO. We were offered complimentary chips and salsa; I remember the chips to be excellent, and the red salsa just right for my taste, but others remarked that it was too spicy. Our waitress (Paulina) joked that the only thing less spicy was their ketchup. They also have a green salsa, which is even spicier, but that we all skipped. The food menu has a lot of chef-inspired offerings. I tried the Grilled Chicken Tacos (Grilled Chicken, Cilantro, Onion, Fresco Cheese) at $16. I had one on flour and one on corn to taste the difference in tortillas with the same ingredients, along with a side bowl of black beans. I found them flavorful but also on the small side for the price. Additional tacos are $5 each. No rice was offered. This was one of their least expensive plates. We had a great time and our drink and food service was nothing less than excellent, but I couldn't help but come away feeling that, for a check that tabbed in just under $100 (with tip) we should have had a fuller tummy. Would we come back? Maybe. We'll have to explore their other options and perhaps graze more off the appetizer menu; however, less than $5 separate most of their appetizers from their plate dinners. This is a place to go for a culinary and visual experience, not an everyday meal.

My husband and I split the Caldwell Special (essentially a fajita platter with beef, chicken, and shrimp, over peppers and onions). It was pretty good -- the beef was tender and the shrimp was fat and succulent. Chicken was a bit on the tough side but that's the least important one for getting the texture right. Ultimately, a good dish but a bit pricy (44.99 for two). It wasn't a huge amount of food -- just enough for two people (and we got tortillas and made a couple fajitas too).
