Conejos is my new favorite spot for Mexican. Lots of options to choose from- we have really enjoyed the tacos and tostadas. Love the fresh salsas they bring out with chips to start. They also serve brunch on the weekend which is amazing and so delicious. Not a traditional Tex-Mex menu but a little more upscale. The one downside is that it is very loud inside at this location but there is the option to sit outside. Conejos is doing a lot right and I look forward to going again. Pro tip: Costco has discounted gift cards for this place is you're planning on visiting.

We had a great experience from the moment we walked in. We were seated right away and the atmosphere was clean, bright and beautifully decorated. It was also nice to see the manager, actively present and helping keep things running smoothly. The food was excellent. I had the brisket enchiladas and my husband had a short rib quesa-birrias, both were delicious with a fun Tex-Mex barbecue twist. The frozen Margarita was yummy too. Service was fast and our waitress was extremely helpful and very kind throughout our visit. We will definitely be back!

Yummy burrito he also got smashed guacamole!

My hubby stopped by on a business trip and really enjoyed his meal ! Service was amazing and the restaurant was relaxing and although it is during the week and we normally stay home it was a 10/10 .. check it out ! MK

New addition to the Lucky Rabbit string of bars. We really enjoy the OG bar in Jonestown and this could be number 2. If you ate not in the mood for TexMex their sister bar the Rabbit Hole is next door. Service at the bar was excellent and our Mex Martoonis were on par with other TexMex restaurants. My green chili enchiladas could have been more spicy but the beans and rice were excellent. There is a full bar with some interesting tequila options that I'll have to pursue on a non school night. There is a cozy patio out front for you nature lovers. Check em out!

Fajitas Chicken - A Mexican dish featuring rice, guacamole, shredded cheese, and a lime wedge, served on a long platter. A side plate with chips and a bowl of sauce are also visible.

Super excited to see a new place to try! We stopped in and were seated right away. The decor is nice, love the mural and that Selena is on the wall! We had a bit of wait before our server came, she appeared to be taking phone orders. I'm not sure when they opened so don't know if they are in a soft opening status. We did notice the menu said "Limited Opening Menu". Chips and salsa are not brought automatically to the table as per standard in other establishments. You do have the option to order from a selection of salsa, queso and guacamole. We ordered Lonestar Green Chili Queso. It came on a flat tray with what seems like homemade chips. The queso was fantastic, we requested more chips! For dinner we ordered Chicken Fajitas and Crispy Short rib Birria tacos. Both plates were fantastic. The meat for both was flavored superb! The beans were great, the tortillas and guacamole stood out to me. For dessert we ordered the Jack Rabbit Churros. Mouth watering good...if you go you have to get these. Do yourself a favor! As we were eating dinner it got busier and a bit louder, but not terrible. We were able to hear ourselves in conversation easily. We found the tables and chairs very comfortable. The only comment I have is to be aware it's a little pricey. We want to support small business where we can, so for us it will have to be a planned visit.

Stuffed chicken...very small portion...the picture is deceiving.

Food is just ok. If you are conscience about overeating, this is definitely the place for you. I find the portion size was very small. I had the stuffed chicken and it lack in both the stuffed and chicken department....don't be fooled by the photo. The chicken was so thin, the cut was barely able to be done. The taste was good though. The only reason the plate looked full is because I swapped the beans for refried...a very thin layer of beans were given.

Decent Mexican food. Kinda standard. Just okay. Fajitas, Quesadillas, Enchiladas, Tacos. The shrimp enchiladas are the best IMHO but only available as a special once and a while. Full bar. Various appetizers. Only deserts are churros, taramasou and coconut pana cotta (a eggless custard). No key lime pie anymore.

We recently visited with family and overall had a good experience. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. The vibe is definitely more catered to the bar vibe than family vibe- hence the loud music. The food was pretty good for Tex-Mex, better than most around here that just drown everything in orange cheese. The brisket enchiladas were my favorite- the meat was super tender. The sauces needed a bit more flavor- they were a bit bland. The stuffed chicken was good as well- stuffed with cheese and poblano and onion. The rice was pretty good, but nothing out of this world. The salad wasn't as dense as I would have liked it to be for $16. It needed more crunch maybe some cabbage to enhance. It was very lightly dressed- I asked for more. The chicken and bacon were good- but I don't think I would order the salad again. The tacos were a bit bland, they needed a bit more seasoning to take it to the next level. I would recommend the enchiladas and stuffed chicken. I wasn't a fan of the chips- they seem store bought. We may be back again- would love to see some more variety for the future. It's a good option to have in this area if you're looking for Tex Mex.

I can't even describe this smell. It's like something out of a seasoning salt packet, yet it tasted bland & dry. Roughly $20 after tax & tip

How this place is in business I have no idea. To compare it to Taco Bell is a disservice to Taco Bell. The food is below basic. My guess is every single ingredient is purchased by a 3rd party. The chips taste like cheap cafeteria bagged chips. The portion size for the cost is absolutely comical. If the taste closed the gap for the size, I would understand, but everything about this place is bland. I get that Tex Mex is a lesser Mexican food, but this tastes like everything is from a can. Be wary of ordering on DoorDash because I tried twice and both times 50-% of my order came. Even when I gave it a second chance and order pick up, the order was wrong. When I called the restaurant to inquire why 50% of my order was missing I was treated rudely.

I have very mixed feelings about Conejos, so I think I'll have to come back and give them another try. Some things were really good and some things were super disappointing. One shining star was our server Heather. She was amazing! Here's our food ratings... Quesa Birrias - 5/10. The meat seriously lacked flavor and the tortillas were soggy (without dipping). Not sure why everyone loves this dish so much? Mexican Cheesesteak - 9/10. This was super good! It's essentially just the fajitas with melted cheese and smaller. But it was GREAT! Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas - 4/10. Not good. Chicken and green sauce had NO flavor. Beans and rice - 8/10. All dishes came with this and they were really good! Jack Rabbit Churros - 9/10. EXCELLENT dessert. Key Lime Pie - 8/10. First, it's not a pie. It's a key lime cheesecake. But it was good! Pie itself was ok, but whatever sauce they drizzled it with was AWESOME!! I will come back sometime and try more of the steak dishes, since that was the best thing we ate. I think if I just had the steak fajitas and dessert, it would get 5 stars.

Absolutely love this place! Drinks are amazing, food is phenomenal, the location and ambiance are awesome. The staff is so friendly and welcoming! Definitely check it out if you're in the Austin area. (Or make the drive, it's worth it.)

The only thing Bad about this spot is we live in Manor...Solid Visit...Super Friendly staff with impressive decor...Love the Conejos theme....First out were the Chips, Salsa and Green Chili Queso....Chips were light and crunchy....Queso was a bit to "Green Chili" for the wife but I liked it alot....not that she stopped eating it...Also ordered the street corn in a cup...Very good...Corn seams fresh off the cob, hence the grill marks, but was overcooked and was missing the Pop of Corn were used to...Wife picked the Brisket Enchiladas....Excellently cooked tender Brisket...I was shocked she stuck with both the green and red sauce...she not fan of anything green...anything....but she really enjoyed it...My dish was a complete miscommunication on my part...The have Veggy Enchiladas and Green Chili Chicken Enchilada and what rolled of my mouth was Verde Enchiladas....Thinking I ordered the Chicken it turn out the Veggy enchiladas is what I got...and was Not at All disappointed...great sauce inside and out....great veggys inside....beans were fantastic and we both really enjoyed the rice....my mistake it the perfect excuse to visit again....The SIL lives in the area and are the ones who pointed us in Conejos direction.

There is a tiny QR code on a sign somewhere but you will only notice it if you are actively on a scavenger hunt and not, you know, hungry and trusting. I do like this place, but the whole surprise your bill is higher experience is not exactly a crowd favorite. Not just another steak burrito, but one made "Baja Style", with Ranchero meat or similar. We've found something that comes close at Aparicio's. It's not your ordinary menu choices of ground beef, pork and chicken. First of all, customers waiting in line were raving to their friends on how amazing the food is. The quality, the service and the portion sizes. Taco prices are a bit higher than your average taco stand, but this is not a "hole in the wall" dive joint. The owners have made your experience here unique in the decor, yet the food served on homemade tortillas lets you know you're being blessed in the kitchen, by someone who cares. When we arrived we told them this was our first time. The host spoke to someone, and out from the kitchen comes a sample tray with five cups of food to sample. Carne Asada, chicken, pastor, chorizo and Pableno Pepper sauce. We ordered the Cali Burritto. A Carne Asada burrito with fries, pico, and other fixings. It was huge, even after cut in half. I opted for two tacos, pastor which came with a slice of grilled pineapple and Chorizo. Both served on hand made flour tortillas and they were great. We also got an order of cheese fries. A small bowl of McDonald's size fries with shredded cheese and a light cheese sauce melted on top. It was great, paired with a homemade jalapeño ranch sauce. Finished with a fresh strawberry horchata drink in a large mason jar and a mango melon drink. 6:50 each, yet well worth the cost. So if you're looking for something other than Tex-Mex fusion Mexican food, or if you're missing tasting real authentic Mexican food without having to drive to San Antonio, then drive on over to Leander. We absolutely recommend coming here and getting fajitas or enchiladas or Barbacoa quesadillas maybe all of the above if you bring enough people because it's all delicious! Went on Sunday after Easter service because we were craving something a friend brought us during a…read morerecent meal train but felt it a bit lacking. First, the menu needs a rewrite for content and clarity. For example, buying fajitas doesn't list guacamole and based on size, single, for two and family you get more sides of rice or beans. There's no definition of how much actual meat you get and our server couldn't provide that information beyond a rough estimate. Second, the fajitas we got of family size and for two portions for 7 were not consistently cooked. We asked for medium rare and got about 25% at that with the ones in the center at a more well done. Again, the multiple tiny sides were more obnoxious than anything as it's legit beans and rice unless you want to upcharge. The cilantro lime rice tastes like nothing so skip that and go for abuelita rice which has a hint of flavor. Overall, the butter/gravy that go on the fajitas is the real winner but again a menu where you overbuy and misunderstand (that doesn't even list extras like guacamole or a simple small queso) was beyond frustrating. I would stick to them for one to possibly get a better cook.
