Cup of chili...good on a cold day
Jeff B.

My first time here, and the menu is pretty much bar food, but tasty! I ordered 2 chili dogs and a cup of chili. I did enjoy my food. The hotdogs were large and filled with chili covered with cheese and onions! The chili had a good flavor and not spicy at all. We picked up a menu at the bar and found a seat to sit. After reviewing the menu we returned to the bar and ordered our food. When the food was ready, the bartender brought it to our table. The time was minimal. The bar is quite large with several big screen TVs showing various sporting events. There is a fairly ample sized parking lot and the bathroom was clean. A nice place to get a burger or a chili dog near the San Gabriel Park...see you there!

Met family here by mistake. Lol They thought it was in downtown Georgetown but it was more in a residential area. They have a little parking lot and it's nicely built inside. They have plenty of seating some for community seating and others were for 4. TVs all around. You go up to the counter to order and they give you a buzzer for when your order is ready. I had a drink and the big smash. Hubby had the Frito Pie Smash Burger. The group had onion rings, fried cheese curds, Longhorn poppers and some nachos. The burgers were delicious! The starters were all good too but my fave was the cheese curds. I would recommend this place if you are in the area. if you like to watch your sports they got you covered.

This is such a wonderful gem in Georgetown! It is on a disc golf course which got my friend very excited! They have great food and entertainment! You have to go to the bar and order your food and drinks but then it's smooth sailing! We came here two days in a row because of how much we enjoyed this spot! They remembered us and we got to meet the owner, he was very nice and helped us choose what drink to order. They give you a buzzing pager that beeps and lights up when your order is ready! Parking was the only issue for us, the lot was very full so we had to slowly circle and wait for a spot to open. I will be coming back again and again to support a local business this cool!

Such an awesome local Spot. First visit tonight and was very impressed. Staff was very welcoming and beer was ice cold. Chili cheese dog was delicious. Very clean and great decor with plenty of tvs and seating. Would highly recommend you visit the Thirsty Longhorn even though we're Aggies! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Frito burger. Recommend getting an extra side of chili to dip it in

BROOOO the food at Hard Count was INSANELY BUSSIN. Whoever is cooking back there deserves a raise…read moreimmediately because every bite was straight-up ridiculous. You can tell the chef actually knows what they're doing the flavors were on point, everything was cooked perfectly, and I was genuinely sad when I finished my plate. This wasn't just "good bar food," this was chef's-kiss, slap-the-table, clean-the-plate type of food.

Went there for Saturday brunch. We had a reservation, but it didn't seem necessary (they thought…read moreso, too, I got an email halfway through brunch that the reservation was canceled). The waitstaff were all very kind and attentive. The food felt very overpriced for what we received. The brunch fruit bowl I received consisted of four thin slices of strawberry (not even one strawberry), two pineapple chunks and no more than 15 blueberries. The ham and eggs Benedict was borderline flavorless and the egg white was cold and runny. I love a good poached egg, but it was more liquid than poached. The tequila sunrise was musky and the flavor of the tequila overwhelmed the rest of the drink. I really wanted to like this place! However, I spent $35 on a pretty pitiful brunch meal. The restaurant seating area and decor were all nice. The bathroom had no music and is small and cramped (you can't get paper towels without either blocking the door or a stall). The people were kind and attentive enough that I probably would try it again? Maybe Sunday brunch or a different meal entirely.

I walked into CJ's, looked around and left without ordering…read more That is not good. * * * I came into CJ's planning on sitting at the bar, Having a burger and a drink or three, Watching a baseball game and enjoying life. It was the Fourth of July and mid-afternoon to boot - So they weren't as fully set up as they would be on a normal day. * * * CJ's is the food and drink operation of Mel's Bowling Alley. As a Bowling Alley, Mel's looks like it is first rate. The bowling alleys in Austin are fairly lame. This place had a million alleys, a large arcade, and some of the psychedelic ultraviolet-lit alleys that make modern bowling more interesting. As a place to throw strikes, spares and gutter balls, Mel's looks pretty good. * * * However the high quality of the bowling operation does not extend to the food operation. They have two primary bars/eating areas. It being the Fourth of July on "odd hours", one of the rooms was semi-closed. The room where they actually were serving customers was pretty gross. I went to sit at the bar, The bar at literally every single stool was filthy. There were old dishes that obviously had been sitting there for quite some time. Where there were no dishes, the bar was greasy with leftover food and spills. The tables were a little better but not by much. The bartender really didn't seem to care. She was chatting with a staffer. After the staffer left, she was just hanging out. * * * If a food establishment can not be counted on to clean the public areas, How can you be sure the kitchen is not filthy as well? I was out of there, to do my eating and drinking elsewhere. * * * If you go to Mel's to bowl, Check out the food areas before you order any food from your bowling lane. If they are as dirty then as they were on the day I visited, Finish your bowling and go to a more reliable place for your snacks.

This probably should be a Mulligans post but I want Wrigleys to get the praise…read more Went to Mulligans on Saturday night & waited 10 to 15 mins for a table & no one came to seat us,so we left. Still hungry we decided to go to Wrigleys. Walked in & got a table immediately & Collage football was on & we knew it was going to be a good time. Server came by & dropped off menus & stated she would be right back. When she came back, she had a big smile on her face & was so friendly. We asked questions about a few menu items & she helped us make delicious choices. The nachos are huge & so good. Quesadilla was huge too. We were very happy & full. She offered dessert but we were so full we declined. We relaxed for a bit & enjoyed the games on the TVs. It was a very relaxing visit Thank you to our wonderful server Carlee for making our visit so memorable. We will definitely be returning & having dessert next time. Thank you for a wonderful night Wrigleys & Carlee.

The food and service are great. It can get very busy but the staff handles it well…read more My issue is that when we came for lunch today, my wife's eyes started watering. Looking around I looked at the ac vents on the ceiling that were caked with dirt also the ceiling fans were extremely dirty. They should be cleaned and filters changed. Those conditions can make people sick! I don't how the well clean the other operations are, Kitchen, bar etc. I think it's time for a total cleaning and then the restaurant would insure a healthier place to eat and meet.

Starting with the extensive cocktail list full of unique and delicious cocktail options I've not seen anywhere else before. The midnight berry martini was so refreshing and fun. Next up the food offerings were just as diverse, and everything it tried was 10/10. Presentation alone would warrant the 5 stars. We also had an event there this weekend and so I got to try much more of the menu. Everything was just as amazing.

Stopped by to watch the end of the two college football games being played on Sunday night…read moreI Was greeted promptly by both bartenders, one who had remembered me from a previous visit and a new bartender I had not seen before this visit. Although it was a couple of hours before closing, they had all the chairs up on the tables except for the bar area - the bar was jam packed, it had nice vibe - everyone watching the games - but things could've been better if they had had a couple tables opened up, but I guess they were wanting to get out sooner rather than later Sam (new bartender to me) suggested I order an appetizer to enjoy while I was watching the game and said it probably would taste good with my beer... he handed me a laminated card that said appetizers were half price... I asked and Sam confirmed they were half price during their late night happy hour. I ordered the pepperoni flatbread, which was above average and considering it was half price. It really hit the spot. However, when I closed out and was presented with my check, the flatbread was at full price. I asked Sam about that and he said he would have to talk to his manager. He came back and said it was his fault. There was not a late night happy hour and that I would need to pay the full price - are you kidding me?? That is what his manager told him to tell me. He tried to make things a little better by giving me a card for a free appetizer on my next visit... Sam apologized and admitted it was his fault, but also try to explain the situation by saying he was fairly new and still learning, but I still scratch my head at the manager's response to the situation.
