We were brewery hopping in the area and had never been to this location so decided to check it out. I guess they have changed the strategy a bit as it seems more focused on food and not on beer. I had my typical brass tap experience as its happened almost every time I've gone to any location. They were out of the first beer I ordered (martinhouse columbiana) so I decided to try them bourbon menu instead. I was excited to try cypb for $25 and they were out of that too. What is the deal with their menus never being up to date?! Beer selection was fairly limited too, about half of what the other locations used to have on draft and really no craft bottles or cans. Well, we decided to get some food since it was pouring outside so we couldn't leave easily. The bartender said the Brussels sprouts were the most ordered shareable so we ordered them. They had bacon but they were so overcooked that every bite tasted like really burned bacon. I was going to try to send them back but our waitress never asked if they came out OK so I just let it be. Visited on a Friday night; not busy, awful heavy music thumping away, and bar service abysmal. Barman totally ignored us for about five minutes as he was chatting, we were about to leave when he eventually came over. Totally disinterested, couldn't hear us over the awful music, eventually ordered two draft ciders. He brought over two small fancy glasses (why??), almost dropped them on the bar top, and walked away. We tasted - disgusting! Tasted like dish-soap. Yuck! Now to get his attention again. Ridiculous. He slowly came back, not bothered attitude. We told him it was disgusting, he gave a lame excuse and bid us a good evening. We left, never to return. The salad was quite large and the cheese burger was made to order. I enjoyed both. The place is a sports bar with several TVs showing different sporting events. The Brass Tap has both indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed talking with the bartenders as well as a few patrons. Just stop by and be yourself as long as society is accepting of it. read more

I loved the Brass Tap in Round Rock and was excited to try this new location. As a bar, it's a pretty solid place. Lots of TVs and plenty of variety on the drink menu. The service could use some work as our waitress was very disinterested in our table. The food was hit or miss. A few of the items were just not prepared well. I would not recommend the buffalo cauliflower (made up of tiny shredded cauliflower florets instead of larger nugget-sized pieces like most restaurants) and the Brussels sprouts were strange (undercooked and underseasoned). The Boom Boom shrimp was really delicious and my son enjoyed the burger with Mac n cheese on it. Overall, pretty good place to grab a drink and then maybe go eat somewhere else. read more

Update: What a disappointment this place has become. Went in a couple of days ago, my sixth visit, and it will be my last. They advertise "over 200 craft beers", and that's simply nonsense. The last two times I've been in, they are out of Save The Wotld's Chasing Broncos, and the beertender told me this last time, "Yeah, we never got another keg". Lone Pint's Yellow Rose? No longer listed. These are world class hazy IPAs, from right here in Texas, and this place can't/won't stock them? Crazy. But they'll tell you they have Electric Jellyfish. Wow. So does every other restaurant in town. If I wanted to go to Chili's for a beer, I would. Clueless owners, hard to understand how they operate as a Brass Tap. read more

I visited on a Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised. They have trivia night, which added a fun vibe to the evening. The place is very clean and nicely decorated inside. The bar is a standout feature, as it opens up to a lovely patio outside, creating a great atmosphere. The bar itself is huge and impressive. The food was excellent. I tried the Italian club, which was delicious, and the tots were also great. There's a great variety on the menu, ensuring something for everyone. The selection of beers on tap is extensive and impressive. However, the service was mediocre. It was quite busy when I was there, so that might have been a factor. we go here because of the many options for beer. Website says they have Martin House Colombriana and the QR code you scan to see the beer selections says they have it. Right above the QR code it says it is up to date , no they didn't have it, so I had to settle for Samuel Smith . Which isn't bad but I bet the other one would be way better. Need to keep up to date if you say it's up to date. read more

Live close and been watching this being built. Was excited to have another option for drinks and food that's close to home. The atmosphere Was casual and tons of tv's with sports. Service was great and the food was awesome. It's just somewhat "bar food" but it real good. We had a couple friends with wife and I and we had wings, pretzel, shrimp, cheese fries and all were good. Tons of beers on tap. Good thing is they have domestic beers too so it's not all IPA's which I am grateful for. Great place for sure and will be going back again and again. read more

First time here as we live down the street and wanted to try it out. Restaurant does not advertise that kids aren't allowed, but trust me they're not. Noon on a Saturday with a bunch of sports going on. 4 people in the restaurant. We were not greeted when we entered. Instead, I had to approach a server as they were cleaning menus or something else to ask if we needed to seat ourselves as we weren't familiar with their restaurant. We have a 1 year old and were told to seat ourselves. Cool. As I looked around I didn't see a high hair so I walked up to the same girl and asked if they have a high hair. "Oh I'm sorry we don't". Cool, could have let me known that in the first place. Won't be back. read more

Like many other reviews, walked in to emptiness & waiters walking by but no one telling you anything. Prompting was the only reason they said "yes, seat your self" ..but I heard "find your own damn seat, don't expect silverware, napkins or a clean table, oh and I'll be around when I get there". So against better judgment we did. Being there's a Domain location I really had high hopes. Our server was a nice enough guy, it wasn't his fault it went downhill from there. Appetizer was good: pretzel & queso (tiny lil cup but good) Salad was good but once I tasted the bacon pieces they tasted bad like sour. I stopped eating that because no thank you on food poisoning. Fish & chips came out: 2 big pieces, batter was a bit greasy but good fish. They don't provide tartar sauce!! We only use that for fish. Instead They serve it with nasty runny malt vinegar aioli. So ketchup it is. Like kid fish sticks lol. The crinkle fries were also good. But the next thing that was bad was the coleslaw. It was inedible; sent that back & told waiter these items were bad but he acted nonchalant about it. I read other reviews (2) about food poisoning when we sat down so I started to worry.. The prices are too high to have inedible portions of the food. Paid $50+ for a meal we shared, glass of wine & a Bloody Mary. Oh I forgot the tea. It's not real brewed tea it's the fountain one--also gross. There won't be a second visit to this place. Just went in there today for the second time. Sat at the bar. Let me say that again, I sat at the bar. It took 15 minutes to get asked what I wanted to drink. I ordered a bourbon on the rocks. It took 10 minutes to put ice and bourbon in a glass. Never asked if I ever wanted another. After I finished I sat there with an empty glass for 15 minutes when I finally flagged someone down to close out. Sports bar? Two TVs were showing Judge Judy with no sound or captions. Is that sport? FLIES!! As many flies as they had beers on tap. Crazy and annoying. I noticed the over abundance of flies last time I was there. Positive: Drinks were great. Negative: Service was horrible. Our server couldn't answer one question about the menu/ beer. Our table was dirty, and the server seemed very inconvenienced when asked to wipe it down. I ended up doing it myself because she never came back. No place settings or water for at least ten minutes. This is a self seating restaurant but you would never know it when you walk in. No signage letting you know that. One bathroom stall was out of order, and no paper towels. This could be a great restaurant but they need to invest in more staff. Then train that staff to be knowledgeable of the menu. Just fyi- no kids menu. read more

I don't understand the bad reviews posted so far. Maybe that was their experience, but we had some of the best fish & chips we've ever ordered in years from anywhere (even including authentic Irish pubs)! It was light, flaky, tender, juicy, and crunchy without being even remotely oily in the least bit! Unless it was an anomaly visit, we will be going back just because of the quality of the fish & chips alone. The only down side with them is that the fries are just regular fries and not the large wedge cut steak fries I tend to like with fish, but that's entirely just a personal preference and not a negative on the Brass Tap. read more

Take the 5 star. Been here a few times and the Round Rock location. Still needs to tighten up operations. Make sure your Ranch is Ranch not Blue cheese ;-). Service was great. I came in with some coworkers after a busy day at work recently and we were lucky enough to arrive just in time for karaoke! We were lucky enough to be sat in Rowan's section. Right off the bat we were greeted with a smile and given service that was attentive but not hovering. She made several great menu recommendations ranging from their $4 kick the keg beer specials to food recommendations! We will definitely be coming back here as a nice place to unwind with friends and have a nice dinner served with a smile. read more

The brunch buffet was so bad I barely have the energy to write this review. All of the food was in metal containers, but no heat source at all. Everything was absolute room temperature and tasted like it had been prepared hours earlier. Oh, and they don't have coffee. It was an interesting start, and I totally understand start-up speed bumps. Ill start with the super small negatives: I don't know how, but someone already stole the billiard balls from the table so thats out of commish... The only other weird thing for an establishment that accepts children (I understand its a bar but its also a restaurant) is that they didn't have any high-chairs. Thats pretty inconvenient. That all being said, our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a table of 7 and she did a great job. The food quality was insanely good, we got to try their new fried steak bites and fried green beans... definitely recommend both of them. Loaded fries were slightly smaller than we pictured, no biggie there. The chicken wrap my mother-in-law got was extremely above average, Ill personally be getting this next time I come by. First time for this restaurant/pub. Entrance was unassuming. No hostess, waitress said sit anywhere. Had to ask her where to sit, you share tables with other people kind of place. Vvveeerrryy slow waitress. Pretzel was good. Chicken tender and tots were good, chicken wrap had lots of good stuff but too much ranch dressing. Waitress gave us Cole slaw and no fork?!?! My review is similar to the other less than stellar reviews. You walk in and immediately see a hostess stand without a hostess or menus. No one acknowledges us so we have to ask if we get seated or seat ourselves. Ultimately, we find seats, slow to get a waiter, also waiter is slow, no silverware/napkins without asking even after we were served our meals. There was super loud trivia that started up after we got our food. Food = decent yet overpriced. Atmosphere=meh. Service=subpar. They are past being super new so I wasn't willing to give them a pass. Really enjoyed our lunch here today and the service was outstanding. I got the fish n chips and it was probably the best I've ever had. It came with a special vinegar sauce which was actually very good which is really saying something because I'm usually anti-vinegar. We found out that all their food is cooked fresh never frozen. It came will a small coleslaw which was very flavorful and I chose tots which were nice and crispy but a little too salty. Hubby enjoyed his burger and crinkled fries. While I know it is beer place, we ordered iced tea and it was from a bartender gun and not freshly brewed. We will definitely be back to try the beer and more food. read more

Place was full on a Friday night which is great. There's a hostess stand and wasn't sure if you seat yourself or they seat you. Had about 8 servers by the kitchen just starring at us as we didn't know what to do but i eventually asked one of the many nose ringed servers. Would've been nice to be greeted and directed what to do. Sat on the patio which was scorching. Fans didn't work because of a construction issue but can't blame them since the place is new. The flys are horrendous. Ran us out of there quick. The beer is not cold enough which it should be ice cold considering this is a beer place. Has the hot honey pepperoni pizza which was ok. Great service and nice place but way too expensive for the quality of the food. Frozen bland fries and pretty standard chicken and burgers. No kids menu, so it's $17 for chicken strips that aren't anything special. On top of the prices, they charge $.50 for dipping sauces. That's pretty tacky. read more

My husband and I sat at the bar. The bartender smiled at us several times but never approached us for our order. Guest after us came in and sat at the bar and they were acknowledged and served before us. We were never acknowledged in the restaurant. I'm not sure of the motivation behind this. My husband is Mexican and I am a black woman. I can't positively say this was the cause but I can't imagine any other reason. There was another black gentleman that came in after us and he had to wave down the bartender and force her to take his order. Something we weren't willing to do.
