Bartender was friendly, interactive, professional, and kept my glass full. She was attentive without being pushy and did a great job of making my dining experience, very enjoyable. The enchiladas were outstanding, full of tender succulent, chicken, and the Verde sauce was something that really took the dish to another level. If my memory serves this location, just celebrated their 15th anniversary - here's too many many more A side note... the Sean Adam's prime rib sandwich is still on the menu after a brief hiatus. That sandwich is incredible. If you have not experienced it you need to... You will thank me later. For those who do not know, Sean Adams was a sports personality here in the Austin area that died prematurely. One of his favorite Meals was the prime rib sandwich so they named it in his honor. We haven't been here is awhile and wanted to check it out again. I forgot how overpriced this place is. $15 for a flat top cheeseburger that was awful! McDonald's would have been better. It tasted like a frozen burger. For the price they could have done a hand formed decent burger. I didn't order the $20 burger because that's just too much meat (1/2 lb). Hubby ordered the filet $37, he thought it was good, but over priced. You get some yummy mashed potatoes but no side salad or veggies. Hmmm! We also ordered the happy hour deviled eggs. They covered them in what I think was chili powder. The filling itself was good but getting a mouthful of chili powder was off putting. The waiter was really good. He kept our drinks full. Not thrilled with our meal. Cover 3 has been a fave for 13+ years and today was the first time in a while we've been back and it was very so so. When I saw the Nashville chicken slider, I was excited. It looked amazing (see pic). Unfortunately, the chicken was so overcooked and stringy that it was hard to eat and had no "Nashville" flavor. The bun was a ok. The moisture from the slaw saved it a bit. See pic. The taquitos were very bland and uninspired as was the salsa that came with them. See pic. They're always out of their trout. Like always. Today's, "what should I get when they're out of what I want" dish was the mahi tacos. They were fine. The burrito was eaten by our son. The kids meal was pretty sad. Three teeny tiny chicken strips. Imagine one normal sized (not jumbo) strip sliced into 3 so they can say they gave you 3. It said it came with fries so I asked if there were other options and was given options. He chose mac and cheese and we were charged $3 (not informed) for really sad and bland mac and cheese. The final nail in the dinner coffin was the peach cake. It was literally a piece of soggy cornbread that had zero peach flavor. I am so so disappointed in the whole meal. I used to choose C3 for my birthday but I would not return for food like this. What happened yall? Your food used to be so good. My friends came here for some Saturday College football. Upon arriving I was a bit confused because Hop Doddy's was right next to it. I couldn't really tell at first where this place was. But if you look to the right you will see Cover three. This place is awesome for lunch or dinner to hangout with friends and family to watch some sports. The food was delicious made fast and with flavor. The wings are definitely my favorite. The service was fast and our waitress provided us delightful experience. Cover 3 was suggested to us. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the recommendation. All the food was either spicy or bland. The brick chicken mac'n'cheese says it has red pepper flakes so one would expect it to be spicy. The chicken and shrimp pasta gives no indication of spicy, but tastes like a creole pasta at other places, some heat. The brick chicken club and parmesan fries were both bland; no seasoning on the chicken, fake smoke flavor on the bacon (but not much "bacon" flavor), and an avocado so far from being ripe that it could have made the round trip home and back again before being ready to settle in a sandwich - and all the salt and parmesan seemed to rest under the shoe string fries. Food is on the pricey side (especially for a sports bar), service was alright, other patrons were loud-drunk (as opposed to fun-drunk or social-drunk), and the overall experience was "meh". read more

The food at Cover 3 was surprisingly good! I say surprisingly only because I expected run of the mill bar food. This was definitely elevated. I had a flatbread that was really good and not way too much for one person. My friends had the brick chicken Mac and cheese and the wedge salad with shrimp. Both were very happy with their meals. The Mac and cheese helping was huge!! The peach dessert was also really good! Everyone was happy with their drinks. The only issue was getting them to our table! Our server disappeared a few times. It was late, so maybe he was trying to get his side work done to be able to go home at the end of his shift. Service was not terrible, just not great. Maybe if we were there earlier! Stopped in for their Social Hour. You can enjoy social hour Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM with bites and drinks ranging from $4 to $8. The restaurant isn't as big as expected but I found a seat at the bar easily with a friendly bartender. I decided to get a house margarita and stuffed avocado. One margarita alone got me together thanks to the bartender! The avocado was stuffed with chicken, cheese, seasoning, olis, and sunflower seeds. The seeds threw me for a loop but it was actually pretty good. And while the portions seems small, it was just enough for me. Entrees consisted of hickory burgers, steak tacos, steak sliders, chili, wings, and Mac and cheese. Burgers were served with underwhelming Parmesan fries. Seasoned and cooked well. Steak tacos come with assembly required but were delicious. Sliders came with no accoutrements with a side of ketchup and mayo maybe? But very enjoyable. I want to give it a 4.5 it was super good. Inside is very cool with an open kitchen without it being too loud or chaotic. The service was so great (Whitney was our server and was so nice and helpful and patient with all my questions). We went at 7pm on a Friday night, they sat us in 2 min and were shockingly quick with both the appetizer and our entrees. We got the loaded nachos with chicken and it was delicious plus had a lot of chicken. I got the flat iron tacos which come unassembled which was kind of fun. The steak was a little tough but I probably should've ordered it medium instead of medium well. My husband got the chipotle ranch wings and the parm fries on the side. I've been to plenty of American diners like this but it just doesn't stand out to me, it's just regular no special draw but the food and service is great. I asked for toast but it didn't come with it, it needs to come complimentary with toast with butter, that's what makes an all American breakfast meal all American but it's similar to America on a debt deficit. The chicken fried steak was amazing, true American meal, everything you want from a regular standard mash potato, crispy n crunchy steak with thick white gravy on top. Another great dish. Nothing special or taste different from other dishes but it's nice. Lastly, the chips n queso, I'll probably not order it again. Great chips, fresh but the queso had a weird cheap taste to it, like a lingering cheap taste.
