Pretty obsessed with wings right now. We've been making the rounds since Pluckers is an out for us now without hallelujah. My girls are begging for anchor wings nightly, the 9yo loves their retrial and the 7yo loves the jerk, I personally love the honey siracha and babe alert ranch. Now the honey siracha, it's listed as like the one of the hottest, no sir it's barely spicy at all, I still love it but just saying. Wait staff is always awesome, friendly and super helpful. Only complaint is we saw they have .99c wings on Tuesdays, it says limit 10, which was perfect for the girls and I since we can't eat more than 6. The waiter said it's a misprint and supposed to say 10 minimum. That was frustrating and sad because we would go every Tuesday if we could order less, 10 is way too much for all 3 of us and all 3 like different flavors so sharing won't work either. Love the hand cleaning station, although it looks like it could use a cleaning itself lol. But 5 stars because yesssss, the food and the service are so good. Wait one more complaint, sorry! I came to Anchor Bar yesterday for National Chicken Wing Day and I was EXCEEDINGLY IMPRESSED. Our server Beyonka was very good, at first she seemed kinda quiet and a little annoyed but that quickly changed. I got Mango Habanero and Garlic Parmesan wings and they were delicious. The Mango Habanero wings had just the right amount of spice and was not overpowering like some other wing restaurants. Also I rarely eat Ranch dressing with my wings, but the Ranch dressing here tastes much better than other wing restaurants I have tried. Now, I'm sure it's great to have an air conditioned space for us dog people in the summer months, but it's a small space with bad acoustics that ultimately made our furbaby fairly anxious. For those folks who don't know, having the Anchor Bar in RR is a real treat as the Anchor Bar holds a very important place American food history, as the original New York location created the deep-fried, sauced delicacy that would become known as the Buffalo wing.
