7' Diamonds!!
Jennifer Y.

If you are a pool junkie like me then you will be very excited to hear that these guys have 7' Diamond tables!! They keep them in great condition, too. This is the "extension" of Skinny Bob's but they are separated by a wall and doorway. The original location is smoking and this one is non-smoking. It is a bit painful to play pool here during the day since the windows are not tinted but otherwise it is really a great place to hang out if you like to shoot pool in a non-smoking pool hall. I can't wait to come back to this place!!

First time there and loved it! The non smoking area it's the best! Too my surprise it's Young adult friendly. My 10 year old boy and my 14 year old Daughter loved it. The dark hair bearded guy was very nice. Will come back for sure! Thanks for the great service!

Perfection!

There's a lot to say about a pool hall neatly tucked away in a great part of the city. To be honest, I don't think I can say enough great things about this establishment. The wait staff and management make it a point to know your names and do the best they can to ensure that you never have an empty drink if you don't one. The tables are 9 ft Gold Crowns on Simonis tournament blue cloth (the best stuff on the market), the balls are all beautifully taken care of Super Aramith pro balls, and the tables have a ball return! Not to mention they have a 3 cushion table, the only one of those for a very long ways. They just recently opened a non smoking side with no other than 8 Diamond 7ft Bar Tables (same tables used for Vegas). Including a full bar and food. They have tons of tournaments and multiple leagues to add on to the excellent experience. Some of the best players in the country play here on a regular basis and they're always willing to give some advice. With the addition to the non smoking side and the Diamond tables, Skinny Bob's has risen to the ranks of one of the top pool halls in the country. If you've never been, go! You'll fall in love one way or another. Talk to the wait staff and don't be afraid to approach the players if you want to learn more.

Best pool hall in the area! No gimmicks or bozos , just serious pool. Great food and drinks too!

Very nice tables. Like most pool halls you can hardly breathe for the smoke inside. Service is slow.

Great tables and felt - they don't overpower you with the music volume. Good menu. Nice staff!

My girls are begging for anchor wings nightly, the 9yo loves their retrial and the 7yo loves the jerk, I personally love the honey siracha and babe alert ranch. Now the honey siracha, it's listed as like the one of the hottest, no sir it's barely spicy at all, I still love it but just saying. Wait staff is always awesome, friendly and super helpful. Only complaint is we saw they have .99c wings on Tuesdays, it says limit 10, which was perfect for the girls and I since we can't eat more than 6. The waiter said it's a misprint and supposed to say 10 minimum. That was frustrating and sad because we would go every Tuesday if we could order less, 10 is way too much for all 3 of us and all 3 like different flavors so sharing won't work either. Love the hand cleaning station, although it looks like it could use a cleaning itself lol. But 5 stars because yesssss, the food and the service are so good. Wait one more complaint, sorry! The skillet cookie, way too expensive for what you get AND the skillet is tiny it's impossible to eat without getting burned. Knowing it was bringing hot and being careful all 3 of us still left with burns.

Now, I'm sure it's great to have an air conditioned space for us dog people in the summer months, but it's a small space with bad acoustics that ultimately made our furbaby fairly anxious. Frankly, the food wasn't worth the wait and that hurt my heart a little since I spent a great deal of my formative years roaming around upstate NY eating wings modeled after the original Anchor Bar's offerings in Buffalo.

My recent visit to this spot could have easily gone sideways with a late night run out situation,…read morebut it was turned into one of the best experiences thanks to incredibly warm, accommodating service that made everything feel just right. My server, Julia, was an absolute star from the moment we sat down, super friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring about making sure we had a great time. I ordered a dish that usually comes with a certain side (you know how it is with those classic pairings), but they had run out toward the end of the night. No big deal at all, I get that items run low during busy late hours, but when I asked if they could just take it off and swap in something else (I wasn't feeling fries that night), Julia handled it like a pro. She didn't hesitate, made sure it was adjusted perfectly without any extra charge or fuss, and even checked back to confirm I was happy with how it turned out. I truly appreciate how understanding and flexible she was, it's rare to find that kind of no drama accommodation, especially late in the shift. Shoutout to the manager, Verna, too, she's clearly running a tight ship with a positive vibe, because the whole team felt welcoming and on point. The rest of the staff we interacted with were just as great: quick smiles, helpful energy, and that perfect balance of fun without being over the top.

Plenty of outdoor tvs and you can hear the sports on the tv so much appreciated to get a good drink and watch sports. The venue is clean, large open spaces, big drink menu so any beer and cocktail they got it. For me the location, how clean the inside and outside was, the fun factor is a solid 10/10. Great overall atmosphere. I will say the let down is some of the food items, it needs help. I only took pictures of the fish n chips meal but I ordered fried pickles, had a few wings, chips and dip, and egg rolls. The egg rolls are nice and crunchy, it had a corn and bean interior, nice warm with the extra crispy exterior. Good ranch dipping sauce. The wings are also good, crispy exterior nice fluffy chicken interior, it's not the best wings I've had but also not the worst. The flavor menu is a little short so you're not going to get a ton to choose from. The chips and salsa, the queso is amazing. Nice creamy, thick, cheese flavor, the salsa is nice and semi chunky. Both hold on to chips but the chips we got were ultra stale. I mean rock hard. We asked for new chips and luckily the new chips were fresh. The let down had to be the fish and chips. The batter was too thick, the batter also was still raw. The cod is nice and semi thick, still cooked all the way but since the batter was soo thick, it didn't have that crisp factor the crunchy flavor was gone, it didn't have the crispy exterior. In the pictures you'll see how thick it was. The waffle fries were ok, not the best not the worst just in the middle, still crispy but it was semi cold when we got them.

I am so torn on this place. My friends and I were looking for a cute spot for a moms night out…read more(just 3 of us). We decided to make a reservation at Odds Bar and give it a try. Arrived right on time and the parking lot was PACKED, though the restaurant appeared nearly empty except for a loud networking event going on in a devoted side room open to the main area. No one at the desk to greet us, just a sign to seat ourselves, so we did. Guess reservations don't really matter? It was quite a while before anyone approached us, but when a server finally came he was very nice and helpful. We ordered drinks and entrees. It took an ABSURD amount of time before the drinks came out...maybe because of the event? Not sure. The bar and restaurant seemed nearly empty otherwise and the bartender didn't look busy or rushed at all. Luckily we had intended to make a night of it, so we were able to wait. It was hard to hear each other talk, though, due to the networking event. When the drinks finally came, mine was AMAZING. Like, one of the best drinks I've had in Austin, and maybe one of the best of my life? Weeks later I'm still thinking about it. I got the Going Bananas and it was simple perfection. The food also took a while to come out, but at least we had drinks to tide us over. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was disappointed. The toppings were spare and didn't offer much to elevate the dish, and the chicken itself, while tasty, was very dry in parts, to the extent where I was dipping it in ketchup to get it to go down easy. The bun and fries were good. Our server seemed to have evaporated into thin air after delivering food, so we had no water refills and had to vye for attention to pay the check. Eventually the bartender came and helped us pay, and seemed terse and annoyed when we asked to split our check. (Three middle-aged women...seems more likely a split than combined?) All in all, we were there about 3 hours total, mostly because service took so long. Such a bizarre experience. I would NOT come here if you are on any kind of timeline. The only way I'll come back is to sit at the bar and have drinks only.

Our server was Chase, who was very knowledgeable about the menu and took ownership of the whole experience. You can tell he enjoys being there. I got the off-menu All Day English Breakfast, which - shut the front door - was the best I've had in the Austin area. No puddings, and regular bacon instead of rashers, but otherwise super traditional and fantastic. The bangers stood out - YUM. We also got some candied bacon for fun which made the whole meal even more excessive, haha. It was superb, and a generous portion that the two of us easily shared. I'm hooked. Reasonable prices, great food, beautiful interior, fantastic service, easy parking. What a fun surprise to start 2026.

Clearly, not at all, because the place was packed. Either at capacity or about to go over. We secured a little standing spot at the bar and enjoyed our little brews. As we looked up at the TV, the original Leprechaun movie was playing. The staff were very friendly and moving around at the speed of light to get everyone their green dyed beers. There was over an hour wait for food due to how obviously busy a bar is on International Wear Green and Drink Beer Day, which didn't concern us because we had already eaten. I went to the bar and ordered (no wait staff at the tables). I ordered the Fish-n-Chips w/ a Pearl Snap, my date had the Biggy BBQ Mac Burger with a Dragon Fruit Daiquiri. For the positives: our drinks were very good, hard to mess up a draught beer, but it was not flat & just cold enough. She absolutely loved the daiquiri, side note- she's with me so standards aren't super high. Bar staff were super helpful and attentive, patio was very chill and secluded from the other spots surrounding it. The bathroom was clean and didn't smell like vomit. Negatives: My fish and chips were below expectations. Their grease was entirely too hot and it was flash fried causing the batter to be too crispy and the fish was piping hot. The selection of cod was not good either most of the pieces were blackened meat and the chips were crinkle cut fries, a letdown. I wasn't expecting a London level plate but it was a very sad and lonely one. Her burger was loaded with BBQ sauce and her mac-n-cheese balls were fried similarly causing the same burnt batter. It wasn't the worst meal I've had at a chain beer joint, looking at you Fox and Hound, but it wasn't close to the best. The Flying Saucer has a very good bar style fish and chips plate that costs about the same but they pay attention to the details that make it better. Overall I would not recommend and I will not be going back but in a pinch it won't make you sick.
