Decent neighborhood dive bar. Though what a dive bar means in the year of our lord 2026 shows in the amenities offered here: The main feature is the beer garden. With a giant TV that anyone in the garden can see. They also have cabanas for up to 8 or so people with individual TVs in them. There is smoking in the beer garden. Dogs are allowed in the beer garden and people do bring them. The drink selection is very robust with a large selection of drafts, both cider and beer, and a decent selection of spirits. They have a frozen margarita machine There are drink and food specials in the afternoons and week nights. There is a kitchen, and a food truck near by. There is a selection of bar food (burgers, wings, fries, tots, ect) and Tex Mex. The inside is a bit small compared to the beer garden. People under 21 aren't allowed after a certain time, depending on the day.. The outdoor space is the best for a bar in the neighborhood. Good for an afternoon of day drinking. read more

Dive bar with a dive bar vibe. Park in the back! It looks like there isn't much parking, but if you turn in after the bar on the right you'll find there's typically plenty of space. It's a little grimy, but everyone is nice and the food is pretty solid. Great fries, I didn't really look at the menu since I'm vegetarian, but it looked like standard bar fare with some tex mex thrown in. Everyone who ordered something said good things about it. The wait wasn't long either despite having it be a bit packed when we went. Bartenders are super nice and helpful. I'd come back in a heartbeat, but this isn't a drive out of your way kind of spot. If you don't know what a dive bar is, you'll understand the second you step into the Water Tank. Inside, the space is small--two pool tables, scattered TVs, random bar games, and dingy dining sets. It's got that East Austin vibe, but make it grungy. Not being used to the scene, I went with my go-to drink: an espresso martini. The bartender was visibly annoyed and told me she didn't have the ingredients currently. Keyword: currently. Noticing this keyword, I asked when she would have them, since her answer seemed open to interpretation. She sighed and said she would have to walk over to their newly built coffee bar for the said ingredients. Was I nervous that I might end up with an extra ingredient that shouldn't be in there? Absolutely. But, the ship had already sailed. When she brought it over and I had that first sip--holy hell. It was the best espresso martini I've ever had in my life. Had a group from work outside to watch the Saints game. Francis got the channel changed and took such great care of us. She was fantastic. Engaged with all of us. Kept our thirst quenched and got us food when we were hungry. She even came to me when some of our crew were done. So respectful, took care of our guys and made sure we were not over served She was very talkative with us and was so classy. She is my new favorite server of all time. I absolutely love this venue! While you can sit inside, you HAVE to go outside to the back of the bar. The picnic tables fit groups, and the bar gives great service. They have a menu with great choices. So there is no need to eat before coming here. I will note that the appetizers are huge!  While appetizers are intended for groups, these filled our group up. That is definitely not a complaint! Something else I really like is that they have 3 different cider offerings here. That was really nice to discover! This place has come so far recently! I love the patio and the staff is super friendly. My friends use the dog park all the time and I stay tuned to the events. I tried to order a drink and was denied by the way I looked I'm probably never coming back

Aside from stiff drinks, this place has issues. Bartenders are often miserable, the best ones left. One of my friends got kicked out for STOPPING a fight, to give you an idea of how bizarre it gets. Edit: Not lying whatsoever - the fight was a while back, my friend Kenney is the one banned for stopping a fight, other friends literally banned for zero reason, "the staff doesn't like me," etc. Ran into someone just a week ago who was banned. No real reason. The reason I was banned is because I took a trip out of town, I was issued a new debit card, and for whatever reason, they take days to run your card sometimes. This led to passive aggressive behavior from Taylor, a bartender there - but I can't really do much in another city with a new debit card, something that is lost on her for whatever reason. Then I randomly opened a tab one day and was told "The staff decided you're banned." Don't take any of their Yelp responses seriously - this happens often here. Everything I said is accurate, and the passive aggressive response from James actually proves my point. Real business managers don't comment on Yelp like this. Looking forward to him going back and forth with me on Yelp instead of focusing on a toxic staff at a mediocre bar. Also to James - I'll leave a review whenever I like, I never said a "fight happened yesterday." Consider focusing on improving the bar (the bartenders who leave have nothing good to say about it) instead of going back and forth with me on here. Or just continue to prove my point. read more

Doesn't let "repeat songs" favorites regulars over new guests. The karaoke person was super unfriendly and not nice at all. Wanted to try out a karaoke bar because me and my friends are regulars at other bars but don't offer on Friday nights. But will never come back to this one for karaoke. This is a giant hole in the wall. Dark, dank and really fun! Servers have senses of humor! We played trivia with an appropriately curmudgeon host. Fun hole in the wall with great bar tenders! I've driven past this place many times and finally decided to stop in during football playoffs. It wasn't crazy packed like most places.
