Came here for my birthday and it was a let down. I'm not sure if their karaoke system was super limited (the song selection booklet didn't seem that extensive and I only saw mostly Asian songs) and so that was the reason they had us just using YouTube, but I feel like if I'm paying $200+ I'm expecting a better system than just YouTube because I can do that for free at home--especially when we kept running into issues while using YouTube. First, finding songs was irritating since it's not an actual system that allows you to do that without refreshing the page and we had to spend like 10 minutes figuring out a playlist method on our own phones. Then, once we figured that out, the screen kept popping up with an error message saying playback was paused because the account was being used in another location. The first few times the staff came in to fix it but eventually they just taught us how to fix it ourselves and said it should be fine after we refresh the page and it'll just be another room's problem. . . After these mishaps the rest of the time was fine but these things just really left a bad impression on me. read more

Great place for casual Kareoke in private rooms and BYOB/BYOF! You can sing their programmed selections or use YouTube to pick your favorites songs. You'll never run out of songs to sing! It's pretty inexpensive, too. Reserve your rooms online. They do need your credit card to reserve in case you cancel too late, but you don't pay until you are done with your room. You can order food from them or try their packaged ramen at the front. Almost feels cozy. The people helping us at the front desk and over the phone were all very nice, polite, and helpful. The guy was very patient going over the instructions on the controller. They also have a call button by the TV for additional assistance. We celebrated my partner's birthday here, so we brought everything: drinks, food, water, utensils, plates, etc. Just need to clean up afterwards before you are done with your room. Make sure everything is in the trash can. We brought our own trash bags because their trash cans can be small for all of our accumulated trash from our drinks and food. (Also brought recycling bags.) The only thing is that our room's mics would make strange and random sounds during a song. Not sure why. The room also got warmer for 6 people over 4 hours. May need to consider a larger room if you have more than 4 people. A small room can seat comfortably up to 6 people. There is a fan inside the room. The big lights are very bright. There is disco lighting that reacts to the music if you use their programmed machine. So for lighting, there is no in between. It can be too bright or too dark. We brought our own table lights to see our food. The girls bathroom has two stalls. They were kept clean all night long. Did kind of run out of hand soap though. Will definitely come here again next time! read more

I've only been here once but they made sure my daughter's 1st karaoke experience was a blast. They accommodated us as walk in having called before and thankfully they had a spot available. We were able to get our bobba tea inside with no issues, and ordered some snacks, blasted Kpop Demon Hunters, Trolls, Moana and Aladdin hits for her, and some BigBang and Pearl jam hits for mom and dad too. Love that they are open a bit earlier that sunset so we don't feel guilty as parents. Definitely I recommend this place read more

My favorite spot for karaoke! The sound system is phenomenal, you definitely feel like a pro singer here. It gives you false expectations and hope LOL excellent service. We went here Saturday night for a friends birthday and have to run in to another friends bachelorette party here. The room for the bachelorette party was themed mean girls and they did a really great job of decorating. I assume that the actual business didn't do the decorating but it's nice that they allowed the girls to bring in balloons, cupcakes, and all of those different things to go with the theme. We had a lot of fun. There's a lot of song to choose from and you can run out a private room and bring your own alcohol. If you like this would make for a fun night. read more

This place is really good! Very spacious rooms and even if you can't find the song you want to sing they have YouTube hooked up so you can pretty much find any song. This makes it immediately better than any of the other Asian karaoke places in the Austin area. Another perk is it's byob but they still have food and drink options. Our small group got some appetizer samplers, gyoza, and chicken. They were nice and hot and they bring it to you to your room. Although next time I definitely wanna try their self-serve ramen because it looks like they have one of those self-cook/hot water ramen cooking machines. We came here to celebrate my son's birthday, and we were greeted by a very nice young lady who opened the place a little before 6. This was great because we had to set up our food, which I love because we got to bring our own food and drinks to this place because we had people in our group that had a variety of tastes, and allowed us to bring all types of food. The nice young lady walked us to our room and showed us how to work everything. Once we got the lay of the land and set up, everything was easy to use. Don't be afraid of the Korean language on the remote, because there was a little cheat sheet next to it that explains things in English too. We scheduled the place for 2 hours, which is just the right amount of time for 5 people, but if you have a larger party who loves to sing, then you may want to do more. When your time is up, your screen will revert back to the business's channel, and you just take the microphones back to the front of the business to check out. A nice young man checked us out and made sure we had a great time. This place was very clean, easy to use, and fun. My husband enjoyed himself so much, that he wants to go back for his birthday. So we definitely will be coming back here soon. If you want to have a good night with your friends, family, or just want to sing your heart out in a judge free zone, I highly recommend this place. The staff we met were wonderful, and I cannot say enough how much I loved that we could bring whatever food we wanted, and a cooler of our favorite drinks. We will return. read more

Great place! We came walk-in because we just randomly found it, and the guy welcomed us nicely. He said he wanted us to have a great night for our first time there. When we checked out turned out he had us a medium room but charged us for small room. The place was cleaned, smelled nice, and the variety of food offered was also not overpriced. Dance Dance Karaoke is a new karaoke spot in the same plaza as a bunch of other Asian restaurants on Research blvd. I really enjoyed the newly renovated space and how they incorporated a tablet to search up songs on YouTube if it wasn't in their karaoke catalogue. The laser/lights in the rooms were super cool but I do wish they had better AC. It gets kind of hot when you are belting your heart out. The staff were super nice and very helpful. Really fun, had both TJ Media queuing options and tablets for YouTube in case it wasn't on TJ. You can't queue YouTube videos so I recommend saving one hour for that and have your songs picked in advance. Eddie was really nice. Apparently the fun artwork on the walls was done by customers. Rooms were clean and taken care of. We didn't get food, but they do have options for that. It's also BYOB. We will be back again!! Highly recommend. I was in town visiting my sister, and we decided to skip out on Turkey. We chose Dance Dance because the reviews were great, and we couldn't agree more. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The ambiance was fun. There were people singing karaoke in the front room having a blast. Our room was huge! We are not usually up for dancing while we sing, but with all the space, it was inevitable. The songbook was extensive with newer music, and you can easily switch to YouTube. The system gives you a singing grade, and if you get a score of 100, there's a promo for a free 30 mins. My siblings are competitive and scored 100, and I never got a score over 30, lol. The menu had more food than we expected (or what was listed online), so that was great. The nachos were yummy. Great place, tons of space, good prices, and amazing ambiance! read more
