This is another hidden gem. It's a very small bar, with a pool table and a few board games. Seems to have a ton of regulars, even in the mornings. Hannah is amazing, she instantly makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in. If you order wild Turkey she'll ask you to do a turkey call :P This is a smoking bar, so those that complain about it need to be slapped in the back of the head. That's like going to a dog friendly bar and complaining of the dogs. Side note dogs pets are not allowed unless they are service animals, of course. read more

Sadly, this is a partial review. I am writing this during an explosion of COVID cases in Travis and Williamson County. As a result, this Yelper is only doing take out food, take out drinks, and places where he can eat 100% alone. The Pub the night I went had a solid contingent of loyal customers. They also had a great big sign on the door. NO ALCOHOL IN OR OUT. So no isolation, and no taking out drinks for me. (There will now be a moment of silence while all the other Yelpers feel sorry for me.) ******************* This is what I was able to observe in my forty five seconds of observation - and from a little bit of internet research. a) This is an old school bar for hard hard drinkers and hard hard smokers. On the hard hard smokers ... You open the door of the pub and a sledgehammer of tobacco air pounds you right in the face. I used to think the champion establishments for stale tobacco smoke smell were 1980's porn shops. The porn viewers all smoked. There were no windows and no ventilation. Everything REEKED of year-old tobacco smoke. It got in your hair. It got on your clothes. It got on your skin. Laundry and shampooing would only go so far in getting the smell out. The smell of tobacco at the Cedar Park Pub is even stronger. Now if you are a major smoker, this makes zero difference to you at all. Major smokers have houses that smell like smoke, bedsheets that smell like smoke, cars that smell like smoke and dogs and cats that smell like smoke. And frankly, there are few places in the Austin area - where smokers can just cut loose, relax, open up a fresh pack and enjoy life. So if you are a smoker, you have just found heaven. If you are not a smoker, you have just found the other place. b) Several of the cars and trucks parked outside had military insignias. The crowd was generally older. The crowd was all male. I will bet you this is a hangout for Cedar Park veterans who are rightly proud of the service they provided our country. c) I don't know for sure, but my guess is that not many Cedar Park Pub patrons voted for Bernie Sanders. d) Other Yelpers say the drinks are good and strong. I have not had the drinks myself ... but hard smoking and hard drinking do go together. ****************** Anyway, that is all I know about the Cedar Park Pub. Sometime when the pandemic is over, I might come back and give them a try. I don't recommend this place as a first date for the girl you met at Whole Foods. read more

We didn't stay long. No food on the weekends, also a smoking bar messing with my allergies plus a birthday party coming later. The bartender was nice and moved from Chicago to avoid the snow. We had Jack and cokes, one each and it was about 11 bucks. If you don't mind smoke or vapors this is not a bad place. Nice dive bar, has a touchtunes jukebox, pool table and etc. read more

Have to agree with most other reviewers. This is a dive, but it is very good at being a dive. If you don't smoke, you'll probably be a little unhappy with smoking in close quarters. If you do smoke, you'll be amongst your own. Friendly group of people, good service, good prices. Stop in, what's the worst that could happen? read more

All these people complaining about smoking in a smoker friendly hole in the wall crack me up - go to the Domain - Eating Cheetos and people watching has made me into a sexual Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Staff is awesome, and while I tend to agree the beer at least is a bit pricey, it's more than makes up for by the crew who welcomed us with big handshakes and a hello the first time through the door - and it opens at 7, which is a big win for the overnight crew. So if your life starts each day looking for something to complain about, go to the gas station next door for a nice cold PBR and interesting conversations with the cashier. Went here for the first time last night around midnight. I was with a group of 5 once my boyfriend walked up to the bar who was black the bartender immediately said they were closed, but we waited outside and watched multiple people continue to walk in. Lived here all my life and have never been treated with disrespect and racism like he was last night I am a bartender and I have never treated people like that. read more

This is a great hole in the wall with great patrons and staff. Hannah the bartender is awesome, funny, sarcastic and loved by all. There's no way you won't fall in love with her Texas personality. No draft beer and no food but they do have a variety of bottled beer, liquor, and jello shots. There's a jukebox, one pool table, casino games (not a fan), video games and couches. We popped in here a few months ago for a quiet beer and found that the patrons here don't mind newcomers. The barmaid (Hannah) is congenial and fun to chat with and the atmosphere is divey (of course, this is my number one criteria). Parking is a bit crowded but there's rarely a time I've had an issue parking. It seems the later hours are reserved for locals on their way home from somewhere else. They open early (7a.m.) to serve up the folks working the graveyard shift and apparently is much busier early more so than late. I like going here but they are a bit more expensive than other dives in Cedar Park. $4.50 for a bottle of Shiner can become a heavy hit on the wallet if you're there for any length of time as they don't have pitchers on tap or even a "bucket" to order. Then again, I still have a hard time being charged a "premium" price for a beer brewed just down the road. That's a distributor issue, not so much the bar's. The second upon walking into this bar a bar patron that claimed to help finance this bar said "welcome... now get the fuck out" he continued to badger my friend and I until my friend decided to leave. I sat there and had to continue to verbally battle this drunk at 10am. I will never return, and the gentleman in question continued to look in the parking lot for my friend saying things like "I have no problem scrapping in the parking lot". When we walked in we stated this it our first time to the bar and we ordered a beer. The click at this bar is keeping business from flowing into the establishment. Would never recommend. read more

Love this place.....Which means my cigars are welcomed. A quiet place, tucked away. Just a pool table, full bar and a juke box. The best thing about it? You can actually socialize with people and hear them! It get noisy, but not so much you have to yell. I also like the fact, no food. great place to meet someone new, or friends. Happy hour goes on all day, with delicious jello shots for only a dollar. No drafts and all bottles. I hear since they just opened, they are working on getting events going. No draft beer. No Harp. No pub food. Plenty of ashtrays. I asked for Harp and the BT didn't even know what it was!!! Seriously? He was very nice and seemed eager to please, that was cool. He was trying to explain these video gambling games to me but the overwhelming smoke was distracting me. One thing I think is awesomely cool is that they open at 0700!!!! What a strange little place! They have odd hours and cater to the third-shift crowd. I have only been in the evenings, though. It's not too pricy and the bartender is always friendly and makes an effort to remember the customers. They have these neat little antique lighters all down the bar that are available for purchase. Yes, it is a full smoking bar. If that bothers you, there are plenty of other options in the area. It's quiet and conducive to conversation. They did have a megatouch machine, which was great as my husband and I enjoy playing trivia. Unfortunately, it's been out of service the last few times we've been there. The crowd is mixed. They have gaming machines in the back and that brings in a . . .special crowd. Very conducive to people watching. The jukebox is decent and not too loud. They have a good variety of cheap Jello shots. I also like the fact that they provide you with beer coozies to keep your bottle cold. The ladies room is large and clean and looks more like a powder room at your moms house than a bar bathroom. It's a fun place and we always enjoy ourselves when we are there. read more

Great little place I discovered by accident. Super friendly "cheers" type of mature crowd with a popcorn machine, and the nicest bartenders in the world. They remember your name, and what you drink, and have a pool table and comfy seating. You can smoke in there also, so be advised. It's a really great place and I go there at least once a week. They are open early also if you work 3rd shift and want a drink when you get off. read more

Good time here the other night. Has a full bar, pool table, juke box (80's/90's mostly), etc. Friendly environment. Has several small tables away from the bar, if you bring your own friends. =) Tap beer, TV's, and food are planned but not yet evidenced. *I rarely rate anything a 5 stars but I am impressed! If a "Cedar Park Pub" is what your looking for then this is deserving of 5 stars! The PERFECT local pub, but it's cleaner! If you want to relax with a cold bottle of beer or shot after work whether its 7pm or even at 7am (yes they open at 7am) then ask for Tracy and enjoy great service along with a "perfect" local pub experience; which btw rarely go hand-n-hand. No drafts of food means quicker service. However, they do have free happy hour food sometimes like chili and potpies ;-). Im just glad I found this pub after driving by it for months. Specs: opened 4-8 month ago, clean bar, clean bathrooms, nice tile bar and floors, really nice people, 20 bar stools, 10 four-top tables, one pool table, jute box, ATM, 8 VFW-sweeps gaming and nice patrons. I would leave less than 1 star if possible. The whole place reeked of smoke, no air circulation or ventilation, had large commercial fans blow nasty smoke filled air around. As far as the prices go, a BIG thumbs down. $12.00 for two bottles of beer. If you need a beer I suggest going to the texaco gas station next door buy a beer and hang out with the cashier, it will be a much better experience! read more

Cedar Park Pub is a cozy, cool little bar in a good point just outside 183 freeway. It has a very unassuming look from the outside, but once you are in you know they type of place it is going to be. There is parking on the front and on the back and though it can get crowded I had never an issue parking. I usually go on Wednesdays for Karaoke, and that day the place tends to attract more patrons than other nights I have been around the same times. My usual bartender is Hannah. She is the kind of great bartender that does remember you after a couple visits and knows how to make you feel at home and taken care of. All other bartenders that took care of me were also very good, Alice, Rachel and Jason. As one would expect with a neighborhood bar there are regulars, and the place does at times feel like everyone knows each other. I tend to be shy at times but had no issues being invited for some conversation or to join a table. This is a bar that welcomes all kinds. I have been to a few bars of this type before where I felt out of place, but not here. The locale is kept clean, and I never saw anything that I did consider not to be up to good standards. Glasses are pristine, the bar is cleaned up regularly, spills are addressed immediately, ashtrays are cleaned regularly etc ... As for amenities and services, there is bar food service (cash only) inside the premises and James, who handles the grill, can put together a really good burger for you. Fries, Grilled Cheese, Potato skins and other bits of comfort food are available. Kitchen area is spotless and everything feels really fresh and well prepared. Karaoke night, it is a lot of fun and it is for everyone. I really can't sing pretty well, but people do indulge each other and it is all in good fun. Other features include ATM, a pool table, some electronic playing machines in the back, a golf machine in the front, a TouchTunes machine that allows you to play songs at the machine or using your phone. They also have a shelf with a few board games, all which give you a few things do to other than drinking. There are TVs usually tuned to main sporting events peppered throughout the place. So, for a guy that does not really fit the bar scene, I have enjoyed myself plenty. It really feels like a cozy place to go have a couple drinks, join the patrons to talk about whatever and let go for a couple hours. As noted, be aware this is a smoking bar and most patrons do so, with the occasional cigar too. read more
