Great local hangout, tucked away with pool table and an awesome juke box and guess what, bring your cigs because you can smoke! Actually easy to socialize with people and meet great patrons. There are casino games, video games and couches....couches? I LIKE THAT! Happy hour all day long and later hours are reserved for locals who work the graveyard shift and opens up at 7am to serve up graveyard shift locals. Cedar Park Pub really cares about and treats customers with the understanding of what the customers need just by listening and also familiar with all austin local shifts to take into account. I even found a friend on FB that said she was traveling and wound up thier by accident....shes still a customer as well of other out of towners in Austin for business who still frequent the bar just cuz they enjoyed it so much the FIRST time! First time at the bar this evening... And it was great!! Super relaxed. Here are a list of reasons why I am impressed: First- take it from someone who has worked in a lot of bars and restaurants... The owner was hanging around and the atmosphere of the place was awesome! Not stressed like other places. Second- Hannah's interaction with us as our bartender was great. Super friendly and you could tell she really MADE the bar. Third- smoking is allowed inside and as a smoker, this was awesome! But I also don't like to feel overwhelmed... The ventilation was great. Fourth- it's really a clean place and the bathrooms are wonderful! (I hate going to a dive and dreading walking into the bathroom...don't worry...here everything is clean and very hospitable!) I've often driven past this place and thought, "what a shithole". One step inside and you'll feel the same way. Go here if you like weak drinks and to reek of smoke. This is one of the last places in the world where you can smoke inside. It screams loserville from the inside and out. This bar has a funky cool dive bar vibe. Touch tunes is a plus, till people play nsync ;) but really it's a nice place. Couches, video poker, darts, pool table, great bartenders and good prices.
