The definition of a hole in the wall! What a gem I've found exploring small town Leander. Parking is limited and on a steep incline so I suggest getting street parking nearby. The lovely cashier was super helpful and immediately asked if we'd been here before. Since it was our first time, she went through the menu and its entirety. She suggested the chicken tenders for my friend however I went for the bone in wings. They come with or without sauce. They have numerous of daiquiris both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. I ordered the chicken, which is five wings that come with fries and a fried pickle. I added a bottle of water and this ran me a little less than $17. They put your order in for you and then you can make your way outside to one of the many seating areas. We chose to sit on the patio. I love everything about this! Especially the fries. They look like a crossbreed between a curly fry and a naked potato wedgy. My wings were not only sauced with the buffalo sauce, but they came with a ranch drizzle. I also received a small container of ranch on the side. My friend got the spicy garlic Parmesan chicken tenders (2) and a Coke on the side. The wings were meaty. The sauce had flavor, and the ranch was amazing and comparable to Wingstop ranch. I can eat those french fries all day. And the fried pickle was the added touch though a bit spicy for my liking, but it was still a great addition. I will return to try different options. read more

First time experience here was amazing. The ladies working inside the establishment knew their stuff and helped me make an easy choice which was the Cajun dry rub. Food was ready in literally 5min. What they should not do is arrive overpriced and underwhelming, which is unfortunately Thirsty Chicken's specialty. These wings cost five to ten dollars more than they have any business costing, and yet they don't deliver the crunch, the flavor, or the emotional payoff required at that price point. For context: a minimal family meal for four clocks in around $75. Minimal. At that price, I expect either culinary excellence or a side of personal affirmation. What I got instead was chicken that existed. Not bad. Not good. Just... present. The fries and fried pickles were actually better than the wings, which is not a sentence you want written about a chicken place. They were fine--crispy, salty, competent. But being the best item at a wing restaurant because the wings didn't show up to work is a strange victory. Here's the real issue: at this price and quality, my air fryer becomes the villain-hero of the story. For significantly less money, I can heat up frozen wings, add my own sauce, and feel smug while doing it. That should never be the comparison a restaurant invites. Thirsty Chicken isn't offensive. It's worse than that--it's forgettable. It promises indulgence and delivers mediocrity at a premium. No indoor seating, so take note. We had 3 types of bone-in wings, deep fried cauliflower bites, and some chicken tendies. The garlic parm flavor was great but was WAY over-sauced. So incredibly messy, they were not enjoyable. Lemon pepper would have been great, but was so salty they were inedible. Bbq ones were ok. All the wings were super meaty which is a huge plus. The deep-fried cauliflower was a huge no for us. Way too much breading and way too much black pepper in the batter. The chicken tendies were ok. They were huge too. Fries were a hit. Crunchy on the outside, soft and yummy on the inside. The frozen daiquiris were delicious!! We did not get a chance to try the fried pickle. We brought some things home because we were tired of fighting the "million flies army" that descended upon us when we sat down. First time here, ended up stopping in because my son and his cousin googled chicken, read reviews and wanted to go for their last day of school lunch. It was all outside seating which we weren't totally ready for but it wasn't too hot and they had fans. There were a bunch of games - uno, dominos, connect 4, etc and that made the time pass quickly! The food was really great and fresh. The boys both had original chicken strips and fries and loved them. The strips were really big too. I had a 5pc wing and got the hot buffalo because it's always my test at new places and it was good and not too hot. I agree with most reviews that these are the best wings in Leander. Plenty of taste and lots of whatever flavoring you'd like. The fries are thick and come regular or Cajun. The parking is limited and there will always be a good amount of wait, but for the quality of the food it will be worth it to many diners. They offer canned drinks and water here and it's not a conventional sit down restaurant. The patio offers limited seating but a really good vibe. Found this place online and had to stop by while in town, it was pretty good. I like the vibe of this place a lot, they have open outdoor seating and a family friendly vibe. The cashier was nice and she answered any questions we had. I got a creamsicle daiquiri and it was pretty good, I wish I tried a different flavor though it was a bit too sweet. My mom and sister enjoyed their drinks: michelada and margarita. The food was good, I personally liked their different fries but my family not so much. Each employee was very friendly and welcoming. We made it an hour before closing and our food was made fresh and was very delicious. I like my wings fried hard and these were perfect. I only wish there were some inside seating due to it being particularly cold this evening. The space heater outside did help some with the chill. Got the 3 tender meal (one with their bbq flavor and one with parmesan garlic). Both had decent flavor but the bbq basket had maybe too much sauce as it made the chicken soggy. I had heard of this place so figured I would check it out. I went around 11:30 and there was plenty of parking. This subtle little venue was full of surprises. The outside looks like a little house with colorful park benches and about 5 parking spaces in the front. You walk inside and wow! So many colorful daiquiri machines!!!! . The wonderful and patient cashier named Tonjanay assisted me with my choices. She had Great customer service skills and above all great taste buds! I love love love good customer service and she gets 5 stars! It didn't take long to get my food, which is a plus for me, since I went on my lunch break. I'm not sure how they are at peak lunch hours though. I had the The Jailbird lunch special: aka Tonjanay Special (Hee Hee) It was two Chicken strips on a slightly sweet bun with Spicy Lemon Pepper sauce. Yum! My Side was Cajun fries, they were light and crispy, which I really liked. Over all the service and food were excellent. I didn't get to try any of the daiquiris yet but that is on my bucket list! There is a great outdoor patio with heaters and tvs. Most of the patio is covered (with wind screens) but there is a small portion uncovered if you prefer that! The wait for the food on a moderate Friday was a good 40+ minutes. I'm a patient man so I am not knocking them for this, but it's more a forewarning to expect a good wait if you come on a busy day. Taste is subjective and I'll give the taste a 4/5 but many may feel the taste is a 4/5. All that to say, the wings are really good and the place is worth a visit if you are a wing fan.
