What great ambiance!!! Love this place. Trinity was a wonderful bartender, friendly and with great suggestions. I love the Happy Hour(s) concept with new specials each hour. So fun! There's Auntie Anne's pretzels and a BBQ place next door that will deliver to the Rabbit Hole. Perfection! Looking forward to returning.

Pic inside of the bar area. See it's dark

Close to home so had to check it out. First walked in I got a hint of that filtered smoke smell (like a Vegas casino) but didn't see anyone smoking so that was weird. On this week night we didn't order food. Service was me and buddy going to the bar and getting drinks for us and wives. Ambiance was dark and had a young lady singing with guitar. Not bad just not our type of music. Will try again when we check genre of music to be sure we will like. It's a smaller place than I had thought but got to give another shot.

There is no food, but some great karaoke!! I think everyone knew each other's name here, so maybe it's a good neighborhood bar.

Terrible service. There was definitely an underaged child in there. They took 30+ minutes to close a tab.

I had the opportunity to hit Rocking J Piano Bar and what a night it was! Rocking J is easy to find off the 183 and parking is plentiful, unlike the horrendous parking adventure downtown. The joint is located in a corner unit off Whitestone Blvd and extremely inviting. Music starts a little later at night and if you want a table you need to reserve one. I arrived at 7pm for the 8pm show and there were a few patrons upon arrival. The joint is clean without that beer-stained floor smell and the bartenders are cool and fast slinging suds. Prices aren't bad and all the people that I met were extremely cool, many different ethnicities were hanging out, while the age group was 30+ so it's not the college crowd. The attire ranged from men in tshirts, flip flops, I saw some "typical cowboy hats" and women in shorts and dresses, up to business casual. It's basically a "come as you are" mentality in a very relaxed atmosphere. Please note while they don't serve food, they do allow outside grub, just bring some for everyone, Also the bathrooms are decent not spectacular however you won't need to run down the street. The non-reserved tables are limited and as the show time creeps closer, they start to fill up but there was standing room. The crowd that was there was a pretty lively crew and seemed like pretty decent people. In the corner is a piano and on my night a drum kit. I can't remember the pianist / singer's name but he was really good while the drummer acted as backup, basically enhancing the songs with a steady beat. The guy could flat out sing and I swear I couldn't stump him with my diverse requests. Among the songs were The Cure - Love Song, Alice in Chains - The Rooster, Jimmy Buffet - Margaritaville, Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here. Perhaps the jingle from Sesame Street would have stumped him, but I didn't consider it at the time. Overall, the place feels safe with "good folk" who all just want to have a good time. The staff is friendly and fast and the prices fair. I will definitely be back and hope to see you there!

It was not because the piano bar was performing sub-optimally but because they were not there at all. Apparently, the lead band member was sick and therefore, the band did not perform this evening. While it was disappointing, when life gives you lemon make lemonade. The hubs and I decided to stay and catch up on each other's week. It was great to have that dedicated time and in a quiet environment. The mixologist was great and Texas friendly. Also, The piano bar was smaller and more intimate than other piano bars, which added to its charm. Look forward to returning when the band is playing...

I pulled up thinking I was just grabbing a little happy hour snack, and suddenly I'm knee-deep in plates like I'm at an all-you-can-eat taste-test sponsored by destiny. Happy hour food? We ordered everything. Literally. If it was on the happy hour menu, we said "yes." If there was a button that said "Are you sure?" we hit "confirm" without reading the terms and conditions. No regrets. Happy hour drinks? Dangerous. Delicious. Deceptively smooth. One more and I would've started singing along to the music videos like I was auditioning for a comeback tour nobody asked for. And speaking of music-- The vibe was straight fire. They were blasting 80s and 90s hits with the actual music videos playing, and I swear for a second I forgot where I was. I thought I was in a time machine, or at least in some kind of retro-themed VIP lounge where everyone has good taste. The nostalgia was hitting harder than the cocktails. The decor? Chef's kiss. It's giving "classy with personality," like the place knows it looks good but doesn't need to brag about it. Service? Perfect. Impeccable. Smooth like they rehearsed it. Savannah and Silvana were fantastic -- professional, friendly, zero stress, and somehow always there with exactly what we needed without hovering like a drone. Ten out of ten humans. The wild part? They have a huge menu. Like, "bring reading glasses" huge. But I didn't even make it past happy hour because that table turned into a small culinary battlefield and I was happily losing. I'm almost embarrassed it took me this long to discover this spot. This place is a hidden gem, and I'm already planning my return like it's a sequel

There's a large row of coolers that run along the right side with a wide variety of styles/breweries and even NA options-and the back has a lot of European and domestic 'whales' that run high price tags but are harder to find. You can mix and match pretty much anything. Is it a bar? You could say that, any of the beers in the cooler can be consumed on-site; there's picnic tables both inside and outside and there's bar type games: pinball, foosball, darts that you can play while you hang out and drink. They don't have a kitchen but there's always a food truck right outside or you can bring your own in. I've never been for bingo or comedy nights or anything like that. I come for the brews, chill out and eat good food; it's kind of like being in someone's rec room but with way more beer. My only real knock is the corkage fee, if you're going to drink on-site they do charge $2 bucks per, which doesn't seem like much but it adds up.
