Pita came warm and on point. The white bean hummus was recommended, but I couldn't get past the texture and look (reminded me of raw chicken breast paste). It tasted fine, but the appearance was tough to overlook. Alcoholic drinks were solid, a plus thar they're served in nice glasses with beautiful presentation. The server was quick to take our original orders, but follow up was zero. No attempts to get second drinks, any other food, nothing. It wasn't that busy, so I'm not sure why the service was so bad. I flagged him down for my second drink after waiting over an hour, and my friend was still waiting for her beer. It was like our table was in the ignore zone. I would come back again, but would probably order from the bar for drinks. 20% tip was included in the bill because of large party. Sociedad is divided into three main areas...front, back and side all with different purposes. The front area looks primarily like a bar with side seating. You likely are in this section for a Tequila tasting or drink with conversation. The back room was more like a concert-like area with an open ceiling. You literally could see the stars from this section of the restaurant. I listened to some rhythm and blues and find the band to be smooth and sexy. However, my friends were in the last section, where a DJ was spinning Latin tunes. While it was fun to see my friends, it was totally slow boogie. The songs lasted too long, and we only heard a few songs that were familiar. I ordered a frozen Margarita, but they were out of Margarita. I have never been to a Mexican food restaurant that did not serve Margaritas. So, I then ordered some guacamole and chips, which I shared with my friends. After one set of music, we decided to leave the restaurant. Service was pretty good at the restaurant. Although our server was acting as server and bartender simultaneously. Service was great, our sever was friendly and quick to deliver our food and carry out our orders correctly (my wife got the chicken burger modified for her needs and it was dead on). The chicken burger was really good as well. But I'll stick to the beef ;) The feel of the restaurant is that of a bar/restaurant, dim and cozy. Music filled the air which was pretty chill country music. No need to rush here!
