Yes, it's a breastaurant. Did we expect fine dining food? That's a negative ghost rider. But, my visit with car club peeps immediately after our yearly tech day went well. Seated immediately, scantily clad waitress was friendly and quick to bring drinks. Polite in offering menu suggestions and her favorite sides. Onion Rings were a good start to the meal. Two different dipping sauces was a plus here. Folks who can't handle heat vs. a nice mild version. No ketchup needed! Most of the table ordered Chicken Fried Chicken. The rest ordered Fish and Chips. First for me here; where do you see a charred lemon at one of these places? Happy to add that flavor profile to the fish just before smothering it in a flavorful tartar sauce. Various sides were good; even got an extra because I didn't order fries. Chorizo Corn was a stand out even if it was delivered after the kitchen goofed and sent fries. Overall, decent grub and service. Now that our last Hooters has bitten the dust just down the road I hope Rowdy Cowboy takes its place as our goto spot to support single moms (no pole). read more

Made a to go order as I was staying in the hotel next door and do not recommend. As far as the good and service goes two thumbs down . I wasn't given my full order the first time so my kids and I had to walk back to get the rest. Mind you this is after I marked curb side pickup to which after driving around three time I couldn't find because it doesn't exist. The doorman was super creepy with the fake flirtatious demeanor and winking he kept doing. I didn't see too much of the bar, but the vibe and the energy of the other staff and patrons looked great! What a great new spot !! Final four games on almost ALL TVs, cute girls, great service (especially for being open a week!) and the food .... STAHP!! So good, and not just good "bar" food , but really great menu items that came out PIPING HOT! Husband heard about this place over the radio so we tried it out on the Saturday after Grand Opening and we will definitely be back! We were greeted warmly as we walked in and the bartenders, Victoria, Rachelle (x2) took care of right away! The bar was packed (as was the dining area) but that didn't stop the team from DELIVERING on all points! Price point is average but the quality of food was really beyond our expectations ! Absolutely amazing experience! We sat at the bar and the service was seriously 10/10. The girls were incredibly attentive and made us feel like taking care of their guests was their number one priority. What I loved most was that they weren't just order takers--they actually took the time to have conversations with us, check in, and make us feel genuinely welcomed. The food was great too! We had the beef tips and onion rings, and both were delicious. The management was just as impressive. We asked for the TV to be changed and it was taken care of immediately. We actually asked to speak to a manager just so we could tell them how great the staff had been, and Ashley, the GM, came over personally to make sure everything was perfect. Great food, amazing atmosphere, and even better service. You can tell they really care about the guest experience here. Was in town for work and looked for something close to the hotel that had a bit of variety. I think they started out of Dallas and have made their way down to Austin. Lots of potential to be had here. Came in on a Monday night, and was surprised at how busy it was. I grabbed a seat at the bar and it took 7 minutes before I was greeted and 9 before I got a drink. There was lots going on, they may have been in the weeds, but for someone to not even say hello, I'll be with you, for 7 mins!! Not cool! Eventually I was greeted and asked for some recommendations on sandwiches and between the two that I asked about, Nashville chicken sandwich or french dip, they said go with the chicken avocado sliders. I like chicken, avocado, and sliders so I went with it and they recommended truffle fries as well. As the night went on, this is def more of a come and grab drinks kinda place, bar food available, and come to watch sports. They had tons of TVs around, which again, great for football, basketball, etc. you get lots of angles of this. They have tons of beer on draft and a great selection of the spirits and some specialty cocktails. Before I knew it, the rush slowed down, so the bartenders were a bit more attentive, which is great. My food arrived, but it was all cold. I was hungry and didn't want to wait for more food. Here's where some good changes could come from. The sliders have phenomenal potential! There's too much bread for the chicken ratio. I got 4 sliders and the amount of chicken was enough for two sliders, so I did just that. The chicken was a touch overcooked, but had great flavor. Buns soft and good, need more sauced there was a small squiggle. Sauce to bun to chicken ratio don't match. Again, Great potential! Truffle fries were good, again cold! I could see this being a regular spot for me easily, but customer service should tighten up. Realizing one of the bartenders was in fact a manager and never greeted me either (and a few others), is odd. Atmosphere for sports and beer is a 5 out of 5. Food 3 out of 3. After being a survivor from a severe narcissistic relationship, cheated on twice & almost stabbed for leaving , I had to push myself to get out of my comfort zone & be in a proximity of women as I was told by friends. Different healing I guess. Allow me to say, I don't galk or gander like a lot of fellows in this environment & it's never really been my character as a matter of fact. However, I'm extremely disappointed by this spot. First experience, it took a bartender close to 7 minutes to even greet me let alone offer a menu or drink mind you there's 3-4 behind there. Then, the timing when it comes to refueling or asking if I need anything is a century away when sitting up front. Not exaggerating. That's kinda crazy to me not minding or upselling, racking up a tab for someone willing to pay that's nice to them, making all 3 happy (patron, owner, bartender) which means happy fed customer, paid for products for owner ($), higher tip percentage for staff. You Do the math. Closing out takes also an absorbent amount of time when trying to leave as well. Hope no one has an emergency ever because you'll be there till the cows come home. 2nd interaction, same song & dance plus more rudeness. Only came in for good seats well in the evening for Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano fight. Cranked up tab, bought people sitting next to me shots, shared good conversations, tipped $140! on a $160 (almost 100% tip) just to give perhaps some uplifting gratitude ; was given ZERO acknowledgement whatsoever, nothing, nada, Not even a thank you or goodbye or come see us again. Oh, & i guess if you tip $100 you get a bell ring come to find out? Never received that. So far I'm pretty disappointed in the Texas hospitality. 3rd encounter, same lag, no nice approach, menu thrown at me in a hurry, different ladies, rudeness & covert narcissism . Doesn't communicate when they're clearing areas to ask if it's your friends beer or drink next to you is still being consumed, they just take it without asking if you leave to go to the bathroom. That was a debacle in itself & more i won't get into. Now, Normally I'm a 3 strikes you're out kinda guy giving chances but I gave a benefit of the doubt & tried a 4th just because I was near by, hungry & running errands, figured 'what the hell'. Came in, 1st time ever greeted with a smile, no menu thrown, timing was great, drink & food came out Johnny on the spot, had good conversation with the lad next to me about pool technician work (as I was one prior moving to Austin recently after managing bars) , was looking forward to buying us a round & was entirely ignored for no reason. Again, there's 4 bartenders at work behind there with an on call bar back. I looked over to one bartender who turned around to look at the bar-top, i simply gave the universal hand up gesture sign with two fingers looking to order for my new colleague & I , yet , I was given a head roll with her eyes rolling in the back of her head as she literally just came on fresh after their line change/overlap. I have never encountered the woman I signaled to but apparently her conversation deep for 10 minutes was more important with the gent at the end of the bar . Yes, 10 minutes. So, that was it, end of ballgame for me when it came to strikes. I decided to close out instead, bid my new friend next to me a due & decided never to return. Mind you, I always still did right by tipping 30% or higher since I'm back in the same industry now which I've worked in Vegas, Seattle & multiple establishments by the best of the BEST. I can't not tip regardless of pour service since the majority splits tips, lives off of & has to divvy out to kitchen & other wait staff. Lastly , whoever is the tall 6 ft skinny brunette behind the service well...you madam are a god damn rockstar!!! She worked 3 times as harder than any of these other ladies, amazingly coordinated, running circles around others, efficient, precise, absolutely impressive than any of these other tenders without even breaking a sweat. The place was nearly packed inside (summer time) & she alone was dishing out drink tickets as if she had Ai mechanics & additional arms to go around. Not sure who she was but they better give her a raise because her mixology talent was spot on & could most likely make more $ at a club or high end cocktail spot because she's worth way more than this place. After recently moved to Austin, I'm more than sure Rowdy will survive without my money coming back but i just had to get this off my chest. So if you like rude crude attitudes, unnecessary head rolls, drinks stolen, overpriced beverages, lack of awareness, weak comradely, gaslighting & awful management ...this is the spot for anyone who likes to be abused for sure. Had to take a friend down to Austin to pick up a vehicle and on the way back we decided to get something for dinner. We just tried to pick a place on our way back and this ended up being the one. We both had our wives with us and luckily let them pick the restaurant. We'd never heard of this before but the pics of the meals looked good in the reviews. The first thing we saw entering the doors was the uniforms. Basically a thong on the bottom and a bit more material on the top. So I wouldn't bring my kids in here if I had them and they were under 18 or 19 but for the rest of us it was fine. After that surprise the other one was that all the food we ordered was great and lots of beer on tap and mixed drinks were coming off the bar at a pretty good pace! They did seem to have 3 ladies behind the bar and one in particular was tall with a cowboy hat and wearing their standard uniform and she was fast. Not too sure if the would have had on a Apple watch and monitoring her steps that the number of steps would even go that high for what she probably does in one shift. Getting extra drinks was timely and so was getting the food even though this was a Friday night and the place was closed to packed. We just had another tough go here. My first hefeweizen was flat, so I asked for one in a non-frozen mug. No luck on that- the second one wasn't much better. Our onion rings and bloody were great, though. Sitting on the deck was like pulling teeth in terms of service. Twin Peaks has them beat so far in my book. read more

The food & service was EXCELLENT!!! We ordered the ribs, smashed potatoes & broccoli & pork chops with jalapeños cream corn. The ribs were tender & flavorful virtually melted in your mouth. I've been to the Cowboy twice. The first time I went was day 2 of service in thier RR location. I thought I was getting the breastraunt experience when I arrived, but I soon, pleasantly learned, that it's in fact a asstraunt or bare buttstraunt if you prefer! Nice little t-backs on nice little and nice big bottoms! I sat at the bar both days as all the tables were full and tha bar, a pretty lagre one, had only a couple of open stools on both visits. On my firist visit I ordered their "famous" ribeye. When it arrived 40 minutes later it was seasoned and cooked well but it should have taken much less time to cook such a thin steak at medium rare. The wait was ok as it let me become acquainted with the all female staff behind the bar and thier attire. They have a crazy little dance they do together which consists of shaking thier assets for a few seconds and ringing a cowbell after "earning" a $100 tip. That Was fun to watch. There are many, many televions with all the sports also. I went back last night, Friday, to try something else from the menu. Packed again so I got one of the few stools at the bar. It took 20 minutes just to be recognized as a new customer and another 10 minutes to be waited on. I ordered their Cobb salad w/grilled chicken thinking I'd get a grilled breast or strips. I also ordered their novelty onion rings that are huge and delivered on 2 horse shoes.The food arrived together in a reasonable time but the chicken on the salad? It was like some pieces of grilled chicken that were cut to the size of the first digit of my little finger. The rest of the salad was fresh but I was a little disapointed with it. The onion rings were great and enough for 2. Then I had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to notice me so they could get silverware for me! Terrible!!! I tried to order another cocktail when my food arrived but I couldn't hail a bare butt bartender for 30 minutes. SERIOUSLY, the bartenders were slammed and working on earlier arriving patrons at the other end of the bar I guess. It took forever to get a drink. When I was finally noticed to need another drink after trying polightly to get someone's attention I ordered an item to go that contained ice cream and specifically told the bartender TO GO and cashed out cause I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes again for a buttender to notice me! I assumed it would take a while for my to go box to show up and I'd leave when I got it. We'll, 5 minutes later it shows up as a dine in item. I tell the delivery person that mine is to go. I then watched her walk around for 10 minutes trying to get rid of the dish. My to go arrived in a Styrofoam container, in a bag. I left RC and was home in 10 minutes. I opened the bag and it contained the ice-cream soup that the server was carrying around. So instead of providing me with a fresh to-go order, they gave me the mistake they walked around with for 20 minutes! My rating on a scale of 1 - 10 Ambiance: 7/8 Food: 6 Service:3 I'm going back soon to see if all the trainers went back to thier home store in the Dallas area. The service may have slipped because the trainers are gone or the bar manager is distracted doing bare butt tender duties instead of leading her staff. Thanks for the opportunity. The chicken plate was recommended, after a work out I can say I will be back for the chicken plate. You can get blackened or grilled I got blackened and it was delicious. Bartenders are fun and attentive. Missing one other one- Veronica, Brittany, and Courtney I highly recommend. My drink was never half empty either. Will be back for that and trying other foods. Fifth time coming here. The food is great the service is always excellent. I came by myself during the Spurs game. There were six open tables with a "two hour wait." The bar was full. I stood around and watched the game next to an empty table and didn't spend a dime. I probably saved $100. Heard good things about the new place in Round Rock called the Rowdy Cowboy. Stopped in to watch some NCAA March Madness and our server "Jerzee" was awesome! This place has the sports bar vibe for sure but they also have great steaks and Ribs--I had the ribs and they were terrific! I gotta say, the wait staff here is all hustle and smiles!
