We FINALLY checked out Old Gregg! There was a crawfish event which always captures our eyes (and tummy). We got there right as they were opening, so it wasn't busy at all. Got to chat with a few of the bartenders (very personable and friendly). The space was fairly large with seating inside and outside. The decor was cool and light, perfect for the weather this day. I tried a few of their in house brews, kept it light with the Lucian (Vienna Lager) which was my favorite. Looking forward to trying their IPAs next time.

cute little decorations. lots of options for everyone.

I live in Houston but frequently travel for work and when I found out this place existed on a work trip, I was so happy. I immediately contacted my siblings (also millennials) and we booked a trip for them to come. We all went and made a day of it as OG old gregg fans. Anyone going for that nostalgia, don't bother. Although there are odes to our pal gregg, including the merch- it's a very beige, kind of basic, brewery. It's a fun place to meet friends for a few cute cocktails, but we were very much let down by the name. The drinks were very good and the staff is super helpful. My fiancé is a beer drinker, and he really liked the few he tried. My sister and I tried a few cocktails as well as the Dr. Pepper float and it was very good!

Glad they opened up out here and I wish them well!! Pizza was okay, ranch was okay, nothing to scream about. They ran out of ingredients for two of the pizzas, so we went with out third choice which again, was okay. We got a beer and a cocktail to try out the flavors and both were okay as well. Both were pretty muted. The space was laid out well and I appreciated the amount of TVs throughout the spot especially on a game day. Can't speak too much to the service since the pizza was ordered via QR code and we had a quick interaction for the batch/draft drinks.

Oh man...I really wanted to love the Pilsner here. I was expecting something soft and smooth, light and crisp with a creamy malt feel and a kiss of hops. Instead, what I got was a NO MALT, NOT SMOOTH hops punch to the throat that straight crashed hard into a peppery bitterness that I couldn't even tell if I was tasting the beer or my stomach bile. I literally had to chase it down with limes and lime popsicles and lay flat until I felt normal again. What the hell? Brewing is both art and science. Owners can have an enthusiasm for beer making but what does it mean if the beer has no balance or no refinement regarding the process? If I could offer some honest advice: bring in a chemist or a brewing consultant, narrow down the menu and perfect a few beers instead of spreading yourself thin trying to do too many styles halfheartedly. Better to be known for three excellent creations than ten forgettable ones. This Pilsner had an identity crisis...caught between wanting to be a Pilsner but also an IPA, and unfortunately, it lost itself somewhere. I didn't taste the biscuity or creamy malt. It was clean and crisp...but the hops was so darn harsh and astringent I immediately felt bile and wanted to vomit. Let me say something good, LOL: With better techniques and professional guidance, this could be a great beer. The space here is already fantastic. The indoor and outdoor seating is inviting, the vibe is on point, and the staff is super wonderful. So attentive and genuinely welcoming. This is a great spot for hanging out, and honestly, I'd happily come back for mixed drinks and the atmosphere alone. But I truly hope you narrow your beer selection and perfect the technique for what you have. Truly think about what a Pilsner is, get some professionals to give you feedback, keep refining what you offer and be intentional about the beers you want to put your name on. Austin has a pretty good beer scene, and I'd love to see this place rise to the occasion.

What a great add for Pflugerville! Took family here while they were visiting and it has the best vibe to relax. I love that it is fenced in for families and has some play equipment. It is mostly open air seating so it doesn't get loud and overwhelming. I was a fan of the beer and the pond water mixed drink was a big win. Love that it can be nonalcoholic. Keep up the good work!

Old Gregg Brewing Company is one of my favorite bars in the area! The selection of beer & cocktails are all pretty tasty. The staff members are personable and willing to answer any of your questions. I would highly recommend Old Gregg Brewing Co. for small or large groups. Theres a bunch of indoor and outdoor seating. Food can be ordered outside of the brewing at the one of the food trucks (Deft pies & yellow bell Texas tacos). The taco truck was my favorite of the two! If you're ever in the area, you should definitely give Old Greg Brewing Company a try.

I got the blueberry mocktail and it was pretty good. Really chill brewery and there's plenty of seats and tables there. There's two food trucks. Mexican food or pizza. My friends were raving about the thin crust pizza so we waited until 5:30 when the Deft pizza open. We tried to order by scanning the QR code but their pos system was down and we couldn't place an order until 39 mins later. We order the meat pizza and it was ok. Crispy crust but I didn't like the pickled salty bits of veggie on the pizza. It was an acquired taste. There weren't that many pizza options. Love the thin crust and crispiness but I feel there was not enough cheese for it to be cheesy. 2/5. I also ordered from the yellow bell. Ordered queso and chips and seriously that queso is ridiculously addicting and cheesy. I love that it's a white cheese and it's just the best! It's hard to find a white cheese queso and this one is fire . Must try and get. Chips are crispy and it was so good! Also skip the mocktail and just get the agua Fresca frol the food truck. It's rimmed with Tajin chamoy and seriously the aqua Fresca is freaking refreshing and so good! I could have drank two of these! Do I recommend this place? Yes! Chill energy and I will definitely be back for the queso and agua Fresca!

Such a diverse menu!

Great service! You get your drink at the bar, and find the best seat! You can choose from a table outside , a seat at the bar or a cozy tabletop with ample room. The bartenders are very friendly and offer tastings of beers on tap that you may like according to your preferences. There are QR codes for food trucks right outside serving pizza, tacos, nachos and so much more! Dogs are welcome in the outside area!

My hubby and I love checking out breweries that we've never been to before, in hopes of adding a new brewery to our rotation of breweries to hang out at, when we're in the mood for tasty drinks & great vibes. So w/ Old Gregg Brewing Company being a new brewery that recently opened near our home (November 2024), we were excited to check it out & have now visited this brewery twice. Here is my feedback & why I'm giving Old Gregg Brewing Company a three-star review: 1.) very open, w/ plenty of seating - both indoor (bar seating and high top tables) and outdoors (picnic tables outside under a covered patio), wood shutters that are opened up when it's warm outside, which makes the inside space feel that much bigger & allows the cool air flow into the space. On a rainy & cold day, the wood shutters were kept closed making the inside feel cozy. There are multiple tvs mounted for the sports watching enthusiasts and also brand new board games & cards for customers to use. 2.) The "eh" for my hubby and I, is the beer selection. While the selection of brews are reasonably priced, the ABV content of the small selection of brews on tap only range between 3.2 - 5.4 - w/ only one IPA beer that is at 6.0 (this is the highest ABV). The glasses they are served in, are smaller in oz size from what other breweries use, which means you'll most likely need to buy more drinks if you're hoping for a buzz that makes you feel a little bit prettier (or handsome ;)). Old Gregg does have a few specialty cocktails on the menu (I've had the Matilda's Mexican Martini ($15) comes served in a small plastic shaker that you get about 2.5 small martini drinks - tasty but alcohol content wasn't consistent between bartenders) and they also have a few frozen drinks on the menu ( I've had the Spicy Margarita ($11) is a frozen drink that looks very tasty & refreshing because of the dark plum color but I don't recommend it because it definitely is SPICY! It has sriracha pepper flavor in it so I would ask for a small sample to taste before you purchase. I also have had the Alcohol Spritz but didn't like the taste.) Additional tidbits: -- food options: Yellow Bell Taco food truck onsite (food is so delicious and fresh! Highly recommend them) There is also Pint Pizza onsite (can't give feedback since I've never eaten food from them.) -- parking: Private parking lot w/ plenty of parking spaces -- no playground for kids but there are a few lawn games setup outside Hope this info helps! Till next time, Rebecca

Great patio space

This place is a great brewpub addition to this side of town! All the beers we've had here have been good with no off flavors or infected beers. My boyf and I really like their selection of brews - you will find something you like. They serve their beers in 12 oz. glasses and price is around $5.50. It's nice if you want to try a few different beers without committing to a 16 oz. They also do flights if you want to try several. The space is great! Indoor/outdoor concept. There are heaters but no a/c, so it'll be interesting how the dog days of summer will impact their business. The outdoor space is dog friendly and kid friendly. Plenty of seating and there's a grassy area. There is a dedicated pizza joint on site and a taco truck. If you have folks not drinking beer, they do have proper cocktails you can order. This has easily become our new favorite spot within 6 miles of our house!

Old Gregg is wide open and spacious with more than enough indoor and outdoor space for the masses. The property is pet friendly, but all dogs must remain on a leash. Most tables are picnic style and half of the seating areas are shaded. I spotted a few board games for the use of guests! All staff members I came across were very friendly. They run a happy hour from 3-7 with beer and cocktail specials (see photo for details). The majority of their beers are on the lower spectrum abv wise; 6.0 being the highest and 3.6 being the lowest. If beer isn't your thing, they have frozen and crafted cocktails, as well as seltzers and n/a bevs. As far as food goes, I personally haven't tried it, but there's a taco food truck (open Fri-Sun) and a pizza spot opened during business hours. I really love the layout of this new spot and will absolutely be back for some much needed patio time!

Friendly staff, nice open seating, a little play area for kids, two great food trucks. I wasn't blown away by the hazy IPA I ordered but everything else made up for it. Would come back to try a cocktail fo sho

Great spot in Plugerville with a fantastic patio and super friendly staff. Definitely family, kid and dog friendly and if beer isn't your thing they have a pretty full bar. I enjoyed the frozen lemonade add espolon - yummm not too sweet with a great balance and the frozen aperol spritz again yumm. I taste tested a few beers and others in my party enjoyed the beer selection. I'll definitely add this to my list of repeats. Ohhh and they have food trucks so if you need a bite while sipping on adult bevy's there's an option.

Dropped in to kill some time and grab a bite to eat... and left super impressed yet again! The vibe here is perfectly laid-back....chill atmosphere, no pretension, just a spot to relax with great drinks and food. Shoutout to the beer master Eric behind the bar! He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he pours. He shared this awesome line that stuck with me: "Every good beer has a story, and the story should be told!" Made the whole experience feel more personal. I went with tap #13, Juicy Fish--a hazy IPA from WeldWerks Brewing Co. at 8.6% ABV. Wow, what a juicy, flavorful beast! Packed with tropical hops, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink for that ABV. Definitely hit the spot. For food, I had 5 wings tossed in the Blazin Ghost Pepper sauce. It's described as a smoky blend with mild ghost pepper heat, and it delivered exactly that....great smokiness upfront, building warmth without incinerating your mouth (perfect if you like heat but not torture level). Wings were crispy, juicy, and tender too. Rounded it out with the Carnivore pizza, loaded with meats and just the right amount of char on the crust. Hand stretched and fresh, it paired really well with the beer. If you're in the Pflugerville area and love craft beer (especially with knowledgeable staff who actually talk about it), wings, or pizza, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back again and again to catch more of the rotating taps and hear more stories from Eric! Get em while you can. They are Beer today gone tomorrow.

Great spot, laid back, with a great outdoors. I enjoyed conversing with the servers and recognized one from a previous brewery. I was able to sample the homemade michelada mix, sans any tomato juice. Customer service can make or break a business. Goes both ways, patron and staff. I went to switch out the hoodie last Thursday. I encountered a server who was very dismissive of my concern and actually disagreed with me, but agreed to swap. She vocally said, I don't smell a thing. I was pissed but took my hoodie and left. This is definitely a production issue as this one after several washings still has an order. The hoodie was 40 bucks, so no small piece of change. Poor customer service on her part.
