We arrived here around 4 o'clock on a Monday afternoon and found it to be pretty quiet which was wonderful because we were looking for something that was low-key. They have soft jazz music playing in the background, which was perfect. It wasn't blaring so you could actually have a conversation. They have a huge selection of beers on tap - 23 to be exact. They also had several ciders on top that they do in house! There is tons of space here so if you have a large group, this is an excellent location to bring them to. They also have a little kids play area as well and it's totally pet friendly. My husband had the black thunder and he really enjoyed it. It's not overly heavy very easy to drink. Has hints of coffee but finishes with a nice chocolate note. I tried Ricky's rosé cider, very light very easy to sip on. I also tried the big green cider, which I really liked. Little dry, but not overly so. They also have a permanent food truck that serves Mexican inspired dishes, such as tacos and quesadillas, but they also have some other general food like chicken wings. I ordered two tacos ($5.50/each) - the carnitas and the pollo. Both were packed full of meat! It was exceptional and I truly felt I got my moneys worth. My husband got the Carnitas, quesadilla and again packed full of meat. Both the dishes were absolutely delicious.
Very lively place to drink a beer and gather with friends and be friendly to a stranger sitting next to you or across from you. There are 8 large tables with benches and an outdoor sitting area. It's Austin, find all kinds of wonderful people. There seems to be different kinds of groups meeting, showing diversity. The beer is good. Not sure about the food, we didn't know there was food offered because it was not on their website. But maybe next time we are in Austin.
I came here today for a meet up. This was my first time here and the space is large and excellent for big groups! Nothing fancy about the space. It's very casual with an industrial design. The menu is vast with plenty of beer options and some non alcoholic choices as well. I ordered the frozen Strawberry marg ($10) and it was delicious! My only complaint is that the air conditioner was not working inside it was extremely hot inside :( The bartenders were friendly and inviting. Loved the kind service. There was also plenty of shaded outdoor seating. If you get hungry Can-tina food truck is onsite serving up great bites! Plenty of parking too!
Austin Beerworks is this behemoth brewery that is on fire in this college town environment. The list of beers they produce is impressive. As for their kitchen / menu it's college town fare that is good but not memorable. We had: * Loaded Basket with tortilla chips, fries with queso and your choice of protein. Topped with pico-de-gallo, crema, shredded cheese and pickled - just Okay * Carne Asada Tacos with Marinated flank steak, with pico-de-gallo, cojita cheese and cilantro - Just Okay * Carnitas Tacos with Pork cooked low and slow with pickled red onion, cilantro and a lime wedge - just OK * Pollo Asado Tacos - Adobo chicken with guacamole, pickled red onion, cilantro and a lime wedge - Just OK Did the food "Wow" me - no! Would I come back here? Well, I've been out of college now for a billion years ago so, probably not. The brewery is pumping out some very nice beers - though
I love Austin Beerworks. They are local and do such a great job of various beer flavors that you can find all over bars and grocery stores in Austin, TX. Their store is nice with plenty of outdoor seating and decent food menu. My only complaint is that it looks like they stopped making their Belgium Ale. It would come out around this time and around for few months. That was my fav ABW beer. Hence one less star.
Great bar from stem to stern, including not only every style of beer, cider and lots of ales, but also interesting frozen concoctions (great for 100+ weather!). Good menu (food truck to the side) and plenty of picnic table seating. Cheery service, ability to run a tab, self-service water by the door. Too loud inside for easy conversation. Would have been completely happy if there had been the very slightest hint of AC. Sit outside and it's perfect!
Cool solid spot to grab some good beer and relax. The inside is nice and spacious, and the outside has ample picnic style seating The beer was pretty tasty they have on draft. The stag was mellow and helpful. Had some tacos from the food truck and made for a good time. Thanks.
Steve and I recently had a collaboration beer that Austin Beerworks did with Lucky Envelope Brewing for what looked to be for the 2024 Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dragon. Power & Elegance is the name of the beer that we had and it is a Japanese Rice Lager. It was excellent and I gave it very high marks on Untappd. Flavor features to find with this wonderful lager are grainy, sweet (a natural kind of sweetness) and tea. The beer is extremely light bodied which Steve and I often appreciate greatly as we more often than not prefer light beers.
Had a good time visiting this brewery. They had a good selection of beers, and area for the kids to play. The place had plenty of seating, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also had a food truck, that was reasonably priced, in case you wanted a quick bite. Great ambiance, will definitely be coming back.
I've spent some time at their Springdale location, but today is the first time I made my way to their first location. Inside there's eight large picnic tables to sit at with six 90 barrel fermenters off to the side. By the entrance, you'll find condiments, their event board and fountain drinks. It does have that sparse industrial feel to it, but they do have a great beer, cocktail, cider, wine, and NA list. Unfortunately, there's little in the way of AC within the space. Outside there's lots of canvas covered seating, including some uncovered seating near the food truck. Although we did not order anything from the food truck, I hear they serve some legendary Saturday and Sunday brunches from 11 till one. Their beer menu features some in-house craft beer concoctions and they even have some house made beers that are packaged to go. One unique item that you will not find in retail is their THC seltzers to go. They do offer the seltzer on draft, but you're limited to two and you cannot combine it with a beer. If you're interested in combining running with drinking, they have a run club that meets Wednesdays at 6 PM. The beers they make here are definitely solid and on point which explains their success. Informative photos and videos included.

Stopped in for a few post event pints, Uber'd in and out. Sat at the end of the bar as I was solo, had a good view of the amazing beer list. Was able to sample more of their interesting selections, everything was really tasty and spot on with the flavours. Still a nice place to grab a pint! read more
This place was near our hotel so we figured we would try it out. I'm so glad we did! I tried 2 different IPAs the first night we went and liked them so much we went back the next night. I had their Czech Pilsner the next night and it was as good as a fresh Pilsner Urquell! The food truck has tacos and chips and dip. Chips were my favorite since they are fresh fried tortillas which are so good! read more

I'm not sure if this place is udually crowded since I came her by mistake. I was trying to go and meet friends for the Lunar New Year. When I arrived, there was a sign posted outside stating the event was being held at the other brewery, which was 15 to 20 minutes away. Since I was hungry and would be late for the event, I stayed here. The food is served from a food truck outside. The menu is limited, but I'm sure you can find something on it to satisfy your hunger. I had a cobb salad with chicken breast. It was crisp and pretty good. I ordered a beer called Surprise Surprise. The beer was nice and complimented the salad. The beer menu may be larger than the food menu. Many choices to select. The brewery has both indoor and outdoor seating. It is fairly large with long tables and benches to be shared by many guests. There is parking in front and across the road. It is located close to Burnet Road nestled between many industrial buildings. The next time you want a beer, then stop by and order a homemade brew at Austin Beerworks! You might, just like it! read more

Excellent beer; however, I am a stout connoisseur and Austin Beerworks did not come through for that. BUT. Overall, the atmosphere is friendly, vibrant, and super welcoming! I enjoy dropping in after a hike, or long bike ride and or after a day at the office! read more

Veteran Austin Beerworks frequenters know about the Industrial Blvd. location. Welcome to Sprinkle Valley's Disc Golf, Dog Park, outdoor pavilion, laid back location on Springdale. Make sure to "have a moment" in this 'bucolic' setting amongst the trees. Besides taking in the scene of disc-golfers headed to the links, kids and pooches are welcome. Who knows you may also be able to try some Austin Beerworks creations from the "back-of-house." Tourists, visitors, and tattoo artist are more than welcome. read more
My fiance and I stopped by Saturday for a few drinks to kill time before my buddy's bday dinner. We both started with golden grahams cream ale and it legitimately tasted as described. She had goldfist afterwards and I had the new zealand ipa, all were pretty good. We had some brussels from their cantina and my fiance loved them. There was a guy walking his dog around and letting everyone that wanted to pet it and I loved seeing it. read more
I only have amazing things to say about this place. - great selection of beers - great food truck (with cheap prices) - tons of indoor and outdoor seating - awesome staff - the best people and atmosphere It's one of my favorite places to grab a drink after work. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a cool place to hangout and grab a beer/cider and some cheese fries. read more
Service, beer selection and food all worth stopping in and checking out Austin Beerworks. We had a nice hazy IPA that was recommended by the bartender. We got a order of wings with mango habanero sauce. There is not like food that encourages more beer drinking! The wings were delicious. It was a really nice day out, lots of people sitting outside and a nice are for the kids to hang out. My wife loves when there are plenty of collectables, they have shirts, hats, visors etc. I should say now we have all these since she went on a bit of a shopping spree. I'd come back for the wings so I'd be enticed to have a few more haze's. read more

We were here for an Austin FC watch party and the vibe was awesome. The band was there, they had a huge screen for the game, and the energy was through the roof. I tried their special beer release, Mikalla Mist, and it was a beautiful, bright, crisp Pilsner! I also had their Belgian style Gold Fist. It was nice and hoppy and perfectly sour. My final beer was a stout and it was something about the Simpsons. It was also really good. Great place, awesome tacos, fantastic beer. read more

I came here the other day with a friend to have a chat and really get ready to center ourselves for the week ahead. I ordered a Lazer Salad which is a double IPA. Here is the breakdown: The beer appears as a golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The aroma of the brew gives a tropical fruit vibe with hints of tangerine and mango mixed with some undertones of a grapefruit hop and a little bit of pine. The taste begins with a tropical fruit sweetness mixed with a doughy taste. As the taste lingers, more and more hop comes to the tongue starting out with grapefruit followed by some flavors of an herbal and pine hop. The body of the brew is average in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is lighter. Overall this is a well-balanced fruity IPA that if you are not careful can put you on your ass! #supportlocal read more

We came on a Thursday and it got fairly busy. We ordered some food and it was super tasty. The beer is good, so are the ciders. The indoor seating is fairly spacious, plus there is plenty of outdoor seating. We are glad we live close by and will be back again! read more

Ask the Community - Austin Beerworks
Are dogs allowed inside?
I think it's only patio only. But they have misters and water bowls on the patio.
Can you bring in outside food? (I saw this asked already, but no one answered in the last two years so we will try it again 😀)
No it's not
Is there good parking?
Is the indoor area air conditioned?
Unless they upgraded since last year, they just have fancy swamp coolers.
Do they have TVs?
No. Enjoy the people you bring with you for entertainment. Watch TV at home.
I'm trying to find out if there's any food sold today?
Yes, we own a food trailer. Look up Can-Tina on fb
Do they have food?is it kid friendly
There used to be a rotating Austin food truck, but they now have their own, ABW CAN-Tina. See food calendar on the website at https://austinbeerworks.com/calendar…
