We read a lot of great reviews with high ratings so decided to check it out. LOCATION AND SERVICE: It's a quaint cafe located in the middle of downtown Pflugerville with several parking spaces in front of it. Staff were not friendly as no one really said hi to you or smiled. The wait was too long for no good reason. One of the staff members took forever to take care of the customer in front of us; she didn't seem to know what she was doing or what the customer was asking ‍ DRINKS AND BAKED GOODS: We ordered PECAN SUNRISE and just simple ICED COFFEE and neither were drinkable! My husband and I had two sips of each and had to discard them. Their iced coffee was a step down from water with (barely) coffee flavor. We were so excited about their housemade pecan milk bourbon orange zest reduction, but the taste of it reminded me the cheap artificial coffee syrup at an office cafeteria. Also, we didn't get latte art on our Pecan Sunrise which was another letdown! The only saving grace here was the cardamom bun & honey lavender bun which weren't made by them. Thus, we see no reason to come back. VERDICT: We still don't understand why this place was packed with people sitting around using their computers and paying almost $8 for a cup of coffee that tasted as bad as the free cheap coffee offered (for free) at public places or healthcare facilities that we normally turndown. read more

Staff was super friendly, got there a little early so not busy just yet. I asked for recommendations and he said if I didn't like it he would swap it out. Ordered an everything nice with an extra shot and a lavender honey pastry. The coffee was solid smooth even with an extra shot, pastry was good not as good as I hoped but it was still good. I think I was thinking it was going to be more flaky less like bread but it was made beautifully and had a delicate flavor. I've been to West Pecan Coffee once years ago, and I remember liking the vibe and the coffee. I finally visited again today, and I love the community and vibe of this coffee shop. There are so many people coming in and chatting, sipping on coffee, and listening to a local artist sing and play the guitar. My boyfriend and I got the Something Nice latte, and it was delicious. I love how large the coffee cup size is, and I even got the regular size! Even after the milk dilutes, it's still a really creamy latte. The latte was foamed well but the syrup flavor was just ok ( $8.39 before tip). I also waited 17 minutes for my drink as others went out ahead. I love visiting on Sundays for a nice coffee and chat with my friend. The cardamom buns are so good, I get one every time I go. Their coffee drinks are the perfect blend of flavor to coffee--and the sweetness and flavoring never overpower their drinks. Their servers are always friendly and patient, and happy to accommodate milk and flavor requests. It's not too loud, so it's the perfect place for a quiet chat or to enjoy a good book. In the cooler months, they have rocking chairs that you can enjoy on their front porch (well technically you can enjoy them any time, but I'm not doing that in the Texas summer heat). They do close a bit early (4pm) so I've never tried their beer or wine offerings. read more

I loved how big the selection was from Coffee and Teas. They have a limited beer and wine list but the selection is delicious. I couldn't pass up the pecan milk bourbon orange zest reduction syrup. You can get lavender and vanilla flavors pretty much anywhere, but this sounded truly unique so I had to try it. It has oatmilk and I think that made it taste extra creamy and decadent. I would definitely go back for another one! Prices are what you'd expect these days at coffee shops. They did have a lot of other non-coffee options on the menu and they also sell some pastry items too. The space inside was rather large (they have some outside seating as well.) I did see a few people working on laptops, but on this Saturday morning, it seemed like a place people were meeting up to chat rather than a place to try to get work done hehe. read more

My favorite cafe in Pflugerville. Oh my the honey lavender bread. Do not skip! I love the Vietnamese coffee from here as well. There are different kinds of spots to sit throughout the entire cafe. Lots of great natural light that comes in from the front wall being all doors and windows. Great place to come and get some work done. It does get fairly busy, but it isn't very loud in there and the service is fast and friendly. They're very happy to help narrow down the many choices they offer. They also have games and books that you can use while there. My only complaint is the very limited parking, but there is a lot of easy street parking and other lots that are close, walking distance to park. They often have mini farmers markets in their parking lot and they tend to have someone preforming on those days as well. read more

West Pecan is a Pflugerville staple for a reason!! Delicious drinks, fun food, awesome atmosphere, and bubbly baristas make this my favorite coffee shop in the area The drinks are so good and they have seasonal options I've never seen anywhere else. I appreciate the amount of no caffeine options they have as well. You can get any of the caffeine free teas either hot or iced and I LOVE that the caffeine free tea is offered iced. That's not always an option. The coffee is also very good and the espresso is consistently good and not burnt. The ambiance is very cute. Lots of plants all over the place, they also have board games and books to borrow while you stay. I appreciate how much seating they have as this is a pretty busy location. The patio seating is also a welcome addition for nice spring or fall days. Everyone who works here rocks. They are all the best. I cannot shout out just one person because everyone i have ever met here (which has been quite a few over the years) are so nice even when there's a line out the door. GREAT LOCAL COFFEE SHOP. I'm here from out of town and put together a little pastry crawl for myself. This is stop one and the honey lavender bun is 100/10. The cashier was very friendly and suggested a less rich coffee to go with it so I could fully enjoy the pastry on its own. This seems like a place the locals love and had a great sense of community. My husband and I moved to Pflugerville about 2 years ago and we finally tried this place for the first time today. Food: I had the breakfast sandwich. It was good! Ambiance: It gets pretty busy quickly, so I noticed it can get kind of loud. I wasn't bothered by it, just thought I'd note that for anyone that prefers something more low key. I loved that they have board games and a kids corner. They're also women owned! They also allow service animals. Other things to note about the ambiance: the decor & shopping shelves! They had lots of cute Knick Knacks for purchase! The outside is nice & clean too! Service: Our drinks were made fairly quickly and the cashier was also nice. Came this morning for a breakfast date with my husband. We got Vietnamese iced coffee, and everything nice with oat milk (hot). Both were good but I liked "everything nice" more. We also ordered the cardamom bun and 2 breakfast sandwiches with egg and cheese. Everything was delicious. The flavor of the cardamom bun was really good. It is on the pricier side but you are getting good service, a nice atmosphere and supporting a local business so it's worth it. They even have a corner just for kids with toys/games. This shop is perfect. Clean, bright, and filled with the fragrance of coffee, lavender, and fresh pastries. There are plenty of places to unwind or set up shop for a few hours of remote work, as I did. The Honey Lavender bun is absolutely phenomenal. I would come back just for that item! I love that they also have wine and beer and that makes it a place that can be visited for different reasons. This is the opposite of the cozy or cramped setup of most coffee shops. The inside is spacious and the tables are spread out enough for guests to feel comfortable. There are plenty of plugs to hook into if you are bringing a laptop to work for a while and they encourage people to come in and consider them their "third space" after home and work.
