I felt like I was in a seaside town on the beach. Just me, my delish bagel with strawberry cream cheese and coffee. This is honestly the first time I've had a nice warm bagel, to the point that my strawberry cream cheese spread so nicely on top. The bagel was the perfect warmth, and each bite was so soft and flavorful with all the raisins. Another first: I ate the whole bagel; it was just that good. The coffee was just as good and cold. No over-the-top sugars; the coffee was just right. I mentioned cold because I like that the coffee had a lot of ice. Some places give you a few ice cubes, and that's it. That burns me up. I have to mention the service. The gentleman was so accommodating and had a calm spirit. He was so nice when I ordered, and when he saw me struggling to lift the umbrella, he came right over. So embarrassing for me, considering I work in the housing business; I should know how to lift an umbrella. But anywho, I enjoyed my time, bagel, and coffee. I visited here and they have a pretty good size menu of food and drinks for being such a small trailer. I was the first customer at the particular time I came but then about 4 other customers walked up seemingly out of nowhere. I guess many others know about this place as well. I tried the iced large kanpai since it's the 1st specialty choice and others on yelp recommended it. They have a few benches outside and one had an umbrella ro stay out of the sun. Service was friendly. We also tried one other iced latte but forgot the name. Either way, we liked the kanpai better, but I still felt this wasn't all that great compared to other coffee shops I've visited. While I always support small businesses, I just didn't feel this coffee shot met our expectations. read more

Stopped here to grab a bagel and coffee. We tried their plan & cinnamon raisin bagels. We liked that the shmear you choose is served on the side so you can choose how much you want, we tried their strawberry flavor and their veggie flavor, both very tasty! As for coffee we tried their drip coffee which was great goods beans and their Espresso & Tonic with their house made vanilla syrup. The staff was very friendly and offered me a punch card with my purchase. They had a handful of customers when we got there but they worked quickly to get us our order! Was in town for work and was headed in for my morning. I knew I wanted a little sandwich but wanted to go local, and not your typically chain. This place was right around the corner from the hotel, and close to campus, so it was definitely convenient to stop in. There's plenty of parking, its in the parking lot of another major store I believe. I reviewed the menu and chose to go with the ham, egg, and cheese croissant with hot honey, which is most certainly the way to go. I would have liked a little more seasoning on the eggs, and thats where the hot honey did it's thing to add a little umph to it. The croissant was nice and flakey, and it was still warm by the time I got to work. The workers at the location were super sweet. I have been trying to stop by this little trailer for a while now. But it usually has a line and thankfully today I caught it when there was no one there. Sure enough after I ordered several people showed up. The staff is super nice and very helpful. Pretty quick with the order as well. They gave me a great suggestions on my drink choice. Great little coffee and breakfast spot located in the parking lot of H-E-B. Been a few times now since it's so close to our place and we've been loving it! I've had the Northside and Field of Dreams lattes, both of which were great. I've also had the Baby Blue cold brew which was fantastic. My friend has gotten the Kanpai latte each time since he loves it so much and I thought that one was really good too. I've ordered each of the 3 breakfast sandwiches too: Ham & Egg Croissant, Turkey & Egg Croissant, and Bacon & Egg Croissant. Each are great tbh, the Ham & Egg comes with honey so if you're craving somethinf a little sweet that's a great choice. I also loved the chipotle aioli on the Turkey & Egg. Very friendly service too! What a sweet little modern farmhouse coffee truck! I stopped by with my kids earlier this week during a slow time. The truck is parked side by side with another in the corner of the HEB lot, with plentiful parking spots within close reach. The vibes are very Magnolia silos, with turf underfoot and clean farmhouse lines and decor. For a food truck, they have an amazing selection of coffee drinks, including a seasonal menu. So many options, from basic to adventurous. I went with a Daybreaker, which hit all the right notes. Good quality coffee, roasted by nearby Malone's. The chai concentrate is also made at Malone's and tasted like it...no nasty powder dregs and a full-flavored tea taste. So hard to find that in a chai these days! I also love that they have a great milk selection and several tables with umbrellas for shaded seating. A row of hedges shields the spot from the heavy traffic at the intersection. I don't live in the area, but I was visiting and I found this place and LITERALLY LOVE IT. I got the Strawberry Matcha with oat milk and the bacon and egg bagel on a plain bagel! The bagel itself was so soft but also had a little crunch on the outside and ugh it was so good. Just what I needed on a cold foggy day! The lovely people who made my food and drink were amazing and so so sweet! I wish it hadn't rained so I could sit and enjoy the benches but they were soaked haha. I have passed by this coffee shop several times. I noticed it when it changed from Malone Coffee to Hometown. I wanted give it a try and finally got the chance this morning. I ordered the Kanpai for myself and 2 Northsides for my coworkers. All with skim milk. The Kanpai was recommended and I really really enjoyed it. It was exactly as advertised in my opinion. The Baristas were friendly and patient for a new customer. The price is pretty on par with most local and chain spots. I would definitely recommend Hometown Coffee as one of my favorite coffee spots in Austin. read more

Really enjoying this new coffee spot near HEB! It's in the same food trailer where Malone's used to be--now run by a couple who are passionate about coffee and super personable. Always love supporting people chasing their dream. I've been a couple times now and have really liked all the hot lattes I've tried. My favorite so far is the Kanpai--the white miso flavor complements the coffee well. The Morning Glow (pictured) is definitely unique. I was skeptical, but the flavor has grown on me. If you're into more bitter drinks or want something with a really creative twist on traditional coffee, this one's worth trying. Won't be for everyone, but I appreciate the creativity! read more
