Ambiance: Nice modern coffee shop with all the bells and whistles of a coffee connoisseur. They even have a R&D "coffee lab" in the back where the staff and owner can experiment with new flavors for release. Service: The service was friendly! I saw a couple immersed into the experience of having their coffee dripped with one of the "coffee sommeliers". Food/Drinks: I ordered a couple of iced lattes (cookie crumble latte and Spanish latte), both which were delicious. My husband enjoyed his very much. The Spanish latte was delicious, but I didn't taste anything different that set it apart from other lattes. Additionally, I ordered a bacon egg and cheese breakfast burrito. I've been coming here for the past year because the coffee is usually great. Today, however, was a complete disappointment. One of the two drinks I ordered was severely bitter, a clear issue with shot extraction or machine cleanliness. Rather than fixing a simple error, the baristas argued with me--insisting the coffee wasn't the problem, but rather my personal preference--and refused a remake because it would cost the business money. Their manager, Luis, even backed up their refusal to make a fresh drink. Saving a few cents on a bad drink was apparently more important to them than keeping a loyal, paying customer. Making a mistake is fine, but defending it and denying basic service is a massive operational failure. I hope ownership addresses this severe lack of employee and managerial training. I won't be back, and I'd caution others before spending their money here. Edit: Luis is actually the owner. I stopped by this newer coffee shop because it looked really interesting. I asked the person at the counter if the blueberry drink was super sweet. I prefer my coffee to actually taste like coffee with just a little sweetness and she said it wasn't. But it ended up being so sweet I tried to force myself to drink it since I paid for it but eventually ended up tossing it. I'm also not sure how I feel about the dark cups since I like to see my coffee, lol. I love the concept, but overall it just wasn't for me, so I probably won't be back. read more

The people here takeoff very seriously and treat it like an art form. It's evident by the way it's decorated and the way they have their menu organized. I didn't get a chance to try a lot of things on the menu yet, but I ordered a very basic cold brew coffee with cream and some lavender. It was delicious. It's more specifically I got a nitro cold brew, which has a sort of aerated texture in the liquid. Next time, I think I would like to go with a regular cold brew because nitro cold brew just has a certain tartness to it that I can't quite put my finger on. The customer service was incredibly friendly and my coffee was great, but I think I would like to try some other things on the menu next time. Came to work for a few hours and ordered the "chocolate croissant" which is really a pain au chocolat and the Vietnamese coffee. The barista mentioned it was a drip coffee that would take about 7-10 minutes to make which was fine. In my opinion it tasted better once some of the ice had melted and the cream blended in more. Are you ready for some enlightenment? Coffee Enlightenment is a cozy spot tucked into a plaza right at the entrance of Round Rock, Texas. The location offers plenty of parking and the inside has seating, but make sure you come at a good time or you may not get to sit down. Service was amazing, the ladies working that day were easy to talk to and offered some great insights on their menu options. It can get a little overwhelming since they have a ton to offer but they will walk you though the entire menu or recommend something if you are in an open minded mood. The siphon experience was amazing, I love that they have dedicated seats in front of the siphons so you can experience the awesome "science" that goes into it (and snap a nice social media video of course ). I tried one of their Colombia blends which was very good. My partner ordered an anti aging latte herself and she enjoyed it. I'd like to see an Ethiopian option at some point (unless you already do since the day I went) to explore different taste notes from that region. New little coffee place that recently opened up in Round Rock. The interior is both clean and cutely decorated. They offer a good selection of coffee and use fresh ground beans. I was impressed with the variety of brewing methods available at this establishment: pour over, siphon (Japanese style), phin filter (Vietnamese style), espresso. I ordered coffee using their Siphon method. I was intrigued by this method so it was cool to be able to experience and taste the coffee in a unique way! Definitely can appreciate the flavors. I've also tried their latte which was creamy and just as good. The staff is very friendly and kind. They answered all my questions. I found out that they also offer classes to educate consumers about coffee, everything from identifying the distinct flavors to understanding what makes a good coffee. Coffee Enlightenment is a cute shop for anyone serious about coffee. I picked it at random out of places in the area to meet a friend. When we arrived late Sunday afternoon, it was PACKED! Still, the baristas fulfilled our order fairly quickly, and a table opened up to sit at. All the drinks on the printed menu listed their ingredients. As someone who avoids caffeine, I picked a drink that didn't include coffee - or at least it didn't appear to. (I think it was a turmeric latte? If a chai latte can exist without coffee, then according to that reasoning, so could a turmeric latte.) However, that seemed to be the single drink where coffee slipped through the cracks when they were listing the ingredients. It sure did include coffee! To make up for it, I asked if they could refund or replace my drink. They did both! By late afternoon, most of their baked goods were gone, but I snagged the last chocolate chip cookie - exactly what I was craving! It was the right balance between soft and chewy. You can tell when you first walk in that this place is more about quality than volume. They appear to roast their own beans in the back, use Monin syrups and have organic fair-trade cane sugar. Being my first time in, I tried their hot latte and a chocolate croissant. I enjoyed them both, and will come back to try their other offerings. I just wanted a quiet place to work. This place is small and loud, the tables were all dirty, they had QR codes everywhere for their website which made no sense just selling you flights. This is such a lovely coffee shop up north! Staff is so friendly, and there's a lot of good seating areas to work/study. I came to work on my laptop, and I found that I was actually incredibly productive. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, and I love that they bring out all of the equipment and brewing contraption so you can see your coffee drip. My boyfriend got a white mocha latte, which was very sweet but also quite delicious. This is such a beautiful coffee shop where you can literally watch your coffee drip right before your eyes. Yet I'm also realistic if it's going to be a longterm investment on a new brick and mortar. The place was beautifully constructed. The staff welcomed us as they were preparing an order. $7 for Vietnamese coffee!?? We were laughing about the 15min process of making Vietnamese ice coffee (we are a Vietnamese family). So he went with cold brew. It was just oddly bitter. I got an iced caramel macchiato, it was ok. The $17.** price tag wasn't worth the bougie atmosphere. This is just a one time deal. I came in to try this place and while the menu looks good, when I went to pay, I was told that they do not accept cash because it is unsanitary. The young lady smiled and said "It's quite common". I'm 62 years old and not one single person I know has died or even gotten sick from handling cash. New coffee shop in the la frontera shopping center- behind the hooters . Nice modern decor with high top & a few regular height tables, along with bar seating. We went last weekend which was their soft opening so I'm giving them grace in this review. The staff didn't greet us upon entering (they weren't busy at all when we came in ) and the cashier was unfamiliar with the options or how to use the credit card machine ( I had a gift card that required swipe. ) not sure if she rang up my drink I correctly or not but ordered a large white mocha latte with a extra shot of espresso. (Pricing on the menu doesn't show difference for sizes) the drink came to 11$ however the latte price on menu was about 6? Maybe 5.50. I didn't really catch it until I waited 10-12 minutes then got my maybe 12 oz cup which tasted like plain watered down coffee at best as the flavoring didn't get mixed in and was sitting at the bottom of the cup. I was headed to eat and didn't taste the coffee until I was already gone. Not to mention the couple that ordered after us got both of their drinks (also lattes ) before me. They offer breakfast tacos (which they weren't serving at the time due to the soft opening but they also couldn't tell us where they are from when they do start offering them) I watched another customers interaction with the cashier in which she didn't have the answers for him either. The cup was cute and practical with a lid which snaps close! I really thought that was a great idea! Hopefully they get some additional training not only in customer service but their offerings and how to make and ring up the drinks correctly. This is a great coffee shop that roasts its own beans and offers a variety of espresso drinks, cold brews, pour overs, Vietnamese coffee, and siphon coffee. I came here wanting a cup of regular drip black coffee, but I don't think they offer it, so I ended up ordering a delicious cortado made with oat milk. It was velvety smooth and had the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. Also, please have patience if you order a pour over. It takes more time to make than an espresso drink. I had a double espresso and the beans roasted in-house were delicious. Pure Colombian coffee beans roasted in the shop. The cinnamon roll was delicious and not overly sweet. Nice buttery center and pull apart dough. My wife's golden latte was good, but had a tad too much turmeric. They are learning and it's good to show grace. This has the potential to be a great coffee shop because they are into the craft of coffee and not just making lattes. The place and name look and sound upscale and they have a larger variety of single origin coffees to choose from than most places. Unfortunately the overhead of keeping so many varieties and packaging them for individual grinds leads to a $6 pourover that is maybe 8 ounces. I mean I am assuming that's the reason, but maybe its the rent. At the end of the day, the Yirgacheffe pourover was good, but no better than your favorite local roaster and if you are a home roaster, not as good as yours.
