Lamppost Coffee is a great spot in downtown Round Rock. TX for a great cup of coffee in a relaxed environment. My drink was well made. The coffee shop is cozy and inviting. It is an easy place to sit and enjoy your beverage de jour and allow the cares of your day to float away. In addition, they have a back room for school or office work in a more quiet environment. The coffee shop space is large with a great deal of folks working on their computers. My server was friendly and welcoming, which made my experience great. I ordered the Austin fog, which was a take on the London fog drink (Earl Grey tea, steamed milk and Lamppost lightly sweetened syrup and lavender for an Austin style twist). I told my neighbor about Summer Moon and he started raving about Lamppost so.... Here I am! I'm not a coffee connoisseur but I'll tell you Lamppost Coffee is definitely more delicious. I got the lamba coffee which contains their signature syrup. The coffee tastes rich and comforting with a distinct sweet taste that I love. I came here a second time to try the old fashioned and the coffee tastes a little bit stronger, less sweet than the lamba with a hint of cinnamon. It's also good but I prefer the lamba. A visit to Austin meant trying a new coffee shop. This was close to my friends house and had pretty decent reviews so decided to give it a try. It's nestled in a strip mall with ample parking. I was shocked to see how large the inside was there's two separate seating areas With so much space, so this is honestly a great place to work with pretty reliable Wi-Fi. The guy at the front taking the order was such a sweetheart and made some pretty good recommendations. They also have a good selection of baked goods including bagels, but I'm definitely a fan of chocolate chip cookie so I had to give this one a try. I was not disappointed, it's large, chewy and taste incredible. The guy working there recommended that we try something off of their winter menu in which we did. I ordered the cherry vanilla sage latte, but got it iced and it was pretty good. My friend ordered the tiramisu latte and that was also very good, not too sweet. This places have pretty average pricing for a coffee shop and the folks working there are very friendly. If you're on the hunt for a low-key coffee shop this is definitely a place to check out. Had to get a cup of coffee before heading to the airport and stumbled upon this place. Of course I'm going to try their highlighted coffee latte which is the Lamba Coffee. Got it hot with oat milk. Very rich and sweet so I would definitely bring it down a notch on sweetness, but the velvety texture and balance of flavor is perfect. Also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie simply because it looked ginormous. Service is excellent. I forgot to mention that I wanted oat milk after I paid and they gladly took care of it. The managers or workers who are not at the register are very rude and abrupt. They get upset if you are not buying anything, even when there are other people just sitting there without consuming and they do not say anything to them. In my opinion, and based on my experience, they treated me badly. I have bought their drinks before, and they are actually good, but the treatment from those people is terrible. read more

Just moved here not too long ago, so exploring coffee shops is what we love to do within the Austin area! First thing, we were welcomed by the staff member as soon as we walked in (A+ first impression). The gentle man that was working was super friendly during our order process. Even mentioned the seasonal drink options, which included very interesting choices like the cherry vanilla sage latte (I'll have to try out next time) and tiramisu latte. They have pastries as well with gluten free/dairy free bread options. I chose the poppy lemon seed bread slice, which I ate already so it didn't make the picture haha. The staff members served us our drinks/bagel, which I didn't expect that. Very kind of them to do so, since I was carrying my son the entire time. Coffee tasted soooo smooth and super balanced (didn't taste acidic either!). The bagel OMG was amazing too! Toasted perfectly! We will return! I'm obsessed with their lamba latte here. The lamba latte uses their house syrup which is sweet and almost reminds me of a cinnamon flavor. It's a must try if you're looking for a creamy drink. However, I usually adjust the sweetness level down because it generally does taste too sweet otherwise. It's a comforting drink and perfect during any time of the year. The cafe is very spacious with plenty of tables and chairs. There are also board and card games for people to use, so it can be a fun time if you're just looking for a spot to hangout. This isnt the location I usually come to but I was pleased to see that the sevice, quality, and set up were very consistent with the other location I know in Georgetown. I had a little bit of trouble finding something to order, because I was concerned about how sweet everything would be since sometimes sweet coffee makes me sick, and I ended up ordering one of the drinks that looked less sweet. Found this cute coffee shop up in round rock! Just outside a nice neighborhood, right by the high school. Loads of parking and my favorite part was the spacious indoor area! They had tons of tables inside and outside with great secured wifi for those needing a spot to work. Also have restrooms and water available at no cost. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff here were so friendly and sweet! I came in with my daughter for a coffee fix and of course she wanted a smoothie. I got the lamba coffee-- I saw it was a must try, a Turkish coffee. I wish I was from around here because I would get this often. It was so delicious-- sweet and hit the caffeine spot. My daughter got a strawberry smoothie with coconut milk, you either had that as an option or lemonade. She chugged that 16oz down. Bathrooms were clean too- of course the toddler had to use. It's been a while since I went to a cafe I haven't been to before once I learned how to make espresso myself. I realized how difficult it is to make an amazing shot, and coming here I also realized how amazing they make theirs. Great coffee, bold flavors, not too sweet, and their drinks taste how it should. Mochas taste like mochas, lattes taste like lattes, etc. and theres no flatness. The milk foam is impressive, art is skilled, and the service is almost sitcom levels of personable. Cherry on top is that the food (especially the phoenix) is so good, it's criminal. Despite it being in a bit of a random spot, it deserves the popularity that other cafes have except more than twice as good. Plus, it's a good place to get some work done, but lacks outlets for a traditional study space. read more

Such an adorable coffee shop right in the heart of Georgetown downtown. We came in during Thanksgiving weekend and we're pleasantly surprised with how massive and beautiful the cafe was inside. There was a long line of people ordering food and muffins so we had high expectations from the coffee. We originally wanted to try their house special which they ran out of and was understandable since it was 8 PM in the night. We ordered a latte and it was at a slightly less than warm temperature so next time we will ask them to make it coffee level hot. We spent some time looking at the photos they had. We visited during the week in the morning and apparently this is the place where a lot of local students go to study and grab a coffee before class--tons of kids there, and very busy. Large place with lots of seating, including some large tables. We had to wait a bit to order, and a black drip coffee took about 5 minutes to serve and wasn't all that special. Their special Lamba latte coffee was ok, but it was listed as a hot drink and yet came iced--we wouldn't get it again. We had a muffin and one of their breakfast sandwich things (ok). The space is great and very large, and I appreciate that they have an accessible ramp indoors as well! The staff is friendly as well. Let alone being a large space itself, it feels spacious. Artwork decorates the walls and tables are spread apart so you feel quite comfortable. I mean, it's so spacious it probably needs to be near maximum occupancy to feel tight, perhaps not even then. I ordered that Lamba latte. Some say it's sweet, and I'd agree. If you like Summermoon's moon series (probably half moon, 3/4, or full moon,) I think you'll enjoy the Lamba latte. I also got the banana almond toast which looks great for $5, only that it's quite small. TL;DR - Spacious, variety of drinks and I can't wait to try the food options. Seems like a great place to do work or sit down for a few hours with snacks and beverages to accompany your focus. Terrible service. I went in today about 4PM, a line started forming because the solo person working the register is chatting it up with the girl at the counter. Order my drink and sit down, 15 minutes later I go up to the counter and ask if my order was placed after paying for my drink AND leaving a tip. I had to be somewhere and couldn't wait any longer. The girl that took my order who is now the barista asks, " is your name so and so?" No.... It's not!!! I had to leave so I walked out without getting my drink that I paid for....
