    maple latte and blueberry muffin
    Zachary S.

Sometimes the best coffee in Austin is not even in Austin. It is in Georgetown. When I first moved to the area, I met up with a friend who lived in Georgetown, and she told me I had to try 309 Coffee as the first thing I did in Georgetown. She compared it to one of my favorite coffee shops and told me it was on par with that. It is high praise, and frankly, I doubted her coffee palette telling me it was comparable. We went and I had a really excellent latte. A week later, I returned to get the same thing again plus one of their cinnamon twists, then a month later, then a month later, and so on and so forth. I took my girlfriend to 309 when she came and visited. I have pointed it out to friends. That is how much I adored it. Most recently, I went back yesterday, and here we are. Before you even step foot in 309 Coffee, the front of the building is filled with plenty of tables with umbrellas, and there is a side patio with tons of additional space. Inside, the space is cozy from the faded wood floors and ceiling, the brick wall, and touches of black from the metallic chairs and the cup ware. The main room is open with plenty of tables, but it can still get pretty full. Luckily, there is a back room with even more space. The benches have outlets and USB A plugs for charging your devices especially if you are working on an extensive project and need juice on your computer. One of my favorite things on the menu for a time was their Evergreen Latte that I enjoyed through the winter and spring. I have had other lattes as well including their current autumn menu Maple Latte. Each of their specialty drinks feels intentional and never too sugary or too over the top which I feel like a lot of places do which leads to confused flavor profiles and a bad beverage. 309's specialty drinks are always flawless. Their drinks are very balanced between the flavors, the milk, and the espresso which I feel that some places fail to do, but 309 is consistently excellent. For the pastries, I have had a few from blueberry muffins to cinnamon twists to a mystery third thing and they have all been excellent. I have not explored all of their pastries yet, but nothing has led me astray. I keep returning to 309, and I plan to keep going back as long as I live in the area because they make the best coffee in the 512. RIYL: Well crafted coffee and dark wood aesthetics.

    Cappuccino and a peach danish

I've been back a few times before this and haven't updated my review. Came mid morning in a Sunday, I thought it would be busier, but was thankful it wasn't. Tried a cappuccino this time and not my usual latte, an excellent decision on my part. It was smooth, delicious with a good coffee flavor (no sweetener for me my friends!) since they no longer carry the Jam Biscuit, I opted for the peach danish. Wow, so light and airy with real peaches. Delicious!

Matcha and their special coffee for the day

Their matcha was pretty good and intense. Their special coffee, sleepy hollow, wasn't so great. We weren't a huge fan of that. The ambiance was nice, but the tables weren't clean especially at 10AM in the morning. Service was fine.

Be prepared for long lines on the weekend, there is onsite parking but fills up fast, there is another lot across the street though. Really cute house turned to coffee shop. Love the wood and brick inside creating that cozy atmosphere. Great coffee, not acidic or fruity. Smooth and nutty notes which is exactly how coffee should be! I'll be back for sure.

This was my first time here! I'm trying to venture out of the Starbucks world lol! There is gravel parking and paved parked, and plenty of it. It was very busy and very packed. The cashier was super friendly. I only wished they had more accessible menus, so I can see what I want while in line and if they have different flavors, etc. I got an iced latte with oatmilk and it was super good, and the donut was so delicious (coming from a person who doesn't like pastries! lol) It was about $15 w/tip included for a coffee and pastry. Would love to come again at a less busier time to enjoy the shop!

    Orange cranberry scone

I particpated at a running event hosted at 309 Coffee. After the run, my fiancé and I shared an orange cranberry scone. Soft, crumbly, subtly sweet. I ordered a matcha latte which was good but could have been much hotter and my fiancé had a cortado. I actually liked the cortado more. Both drinks took so long to be ready and were ready at different times. I thought maybe they forgot about the cortado!

A cute coffee shop not too far off from the square. Local vibe with friendly staff. I'd recommend having an idea of what type of coffee you like. Nice spot I can see used for coffee and catchup or if you want to get some work done. Overall decent spot and I'd comeback to try some more coffee.

Great coffee shop with an unexpected amount of room in the backyard area! I'm not a coffee person, and matcha lattes can be hit or miss, but this one was actually very good quality! Service was polite and fast, and there is free WiFi that plenty of people were using on a weekday morning. Would recommend if you're looking for a place to chill in Georgetown!

Today was my first time going to 309 coffee in Georgetown. I was so very impressed with the coffee. I go to a coffee shop for coffee. They had excellent coffee. The line was long, but it moved fast. Had a beautiful outside area me and my friend Inside. Impressed me was the people behind the counter. It was a busy Friday and everybody behind the counter was so happy and helpful.. everyone was smiling and happy to help. The prices are very affordable and the coffee was very good. I will definitely be back with friends and family..

    Cappuccino, pour over and matcha

A very home and warm place with plenty of outside table in both front and back yard. The way they served the pour over is really cute. My matcha latte tasted with plenty of matcha which is the way I liked. My sister liked her cappuccino too.

    Cinnamon Knot and Latte. Excellent.

Stopped in this location to meet friends before heading on a road trip. The coffee blew me away. That popular Seattle-based coffee place only wishes it could compete. If you're looking for a real treat, try their Cortado or a pour-over. You will not be disappointed. Apparently, the place gets very crowded at times so, plan accordingly.

Oatmilk Cortado and Iced Maple Latte

Small coffee shop with a home-like feeling to it. Warm lighting makes this place have such a nice vibe to it! It was a rainy day, so we wanted to try this place out for the first time. Little one was with us sharing his smiles as usual to the guests and staff. Cortado was very strong, but a good recommendation from one of the reviews via Yelp. I will have to try their pour overs as they have a very interesting selection priced decently too. They have cute lights in the back for what I saw outside and gravel-like parking easy to get into. Overall, we enjoyed our time here at this cozy warm spot! :)

Great space and ambiance, tasty coffee and fine pastries. It's always nice to find a non-chain non-strip mall coffee spot in Texas.

A wise woman once said, "Have you ever reached the rainbow's end and did you find your pot of gold…read more?" Well Fantasia I did not, but I did find a rainbow on my bagel. Does that count? Stepped into this coffee shop before started some work and I was in awe. It is so cute, clean, and calming! I ordered the silk moch latte with almond milk. I enjoyed my coffee, nothing too super duper special. However it was a good choice. I tried the rainbow bagel and was surprised. It has a fruity tasty. I got it with cinnamon sugar schmear and it all balanced so perfectly well. The cashier was very friendly and answered whatever questions that I had! I will definitely be back again and might even take a seat.

This is a really cute little coffee shop in Georgetown that offers an afternoon tea! I brought my…read moremom here for her and my birthday and got to enjoy two pots of really nice loose-leaf tea (a blue jasmine and a white peach tea) with plentiful pastries and desserts and tea sandwiches. It really felt hearty and filling but also very well-made, flavorful treats. The scones were one of the highlights for me - not too sweet but nice and crumbly and moist. The only thing I was missing was some clotted cream or jam to go with the scones! Both our teas did get bitter so I would have liked them to be pre-steeped and strained before they got to the table so they didn't continue to steep if we took our time with the tea. Other than these minor details, I highly recommend this afternoon tea at a great price. The service was wonderful, and super friendly and helpful. It's also in a cute little complex with some other shops as well. Highly recommend!
