Cute little neighborhood spot for a quick cup of coffee and a breakfast taco :) Baristas were nice and friendly and there's a little something for everyone in terms of coffee and food. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors but it can sometimes be a little hard to snag a spot when it gets busy in the morning. Not to mention a little loud indoors. It was over 90°F that day, but I'd love to come back when the weather is a little cooler and spend even more time here. Sometimes the best coffee in Austin is not even in Austin. It is in Georgetown. When I first moved to the area, I met up with a friend who lived in Georgetown, and she told me I had to try 309 Coffee as the first thing I did in Georgetown. She compared it to one of my favorite coffee shops and told me it was on par with that. It is high praise, and frankly, I doubted her coffee palette telling me it was comparable. We went and I had a really excellent latte. A week later, I returned to get the same thing again plus one of their cinnamon twists, then a month later, then a month later, and so on and so forth. I took my girlfriend to 309 when she came and visited. I have pointed it out to friends. That is how much I adored it. Most recently, I went back yesterday, and here we are. Before you even step foot in 309 Coffee, the front of the building is filled with plenty of tables with umbrellas, and there is a side patio with tons of additional space. Inside, the space is cozy from the faded wood floors and ceiling, the brick wall, and touches of black from the metallic chairs and the cup ware. The main room is open with plenty of tables, but it can still get pretty full. Luckily, there is a back room with even more space. The benches have outlets and USB A plugs for charging your devices especially if you are working on an extensive project and need juice on your computer. One of my favorite things on the menu for a time was their Evergreen Latte that I enjoyed through the winter and spring. I have had other lattes as well including their current autumn menu Maple Latte. Each of their specialty drinks feels intentional and never too sugary or too over the top which I feel like a lot of places do which leads to confused flavor profiles and a bad beverage. 309's specialty drinks are always flawless. Their drinks are very balanced between the flavors, the milk, and the espresso which I feel that some places fail to do, but 309 is consistently excellent. For the pastries, I have had a few from blueberry muffins to cinnamon twists to a mystery third thing and they have all been excellent. I have not explored all of their pastries yet, but nothing has led me astray. 309 Coffee is hands down my favorite coffee shop in the Georgetown and Austin area. The staff is always incredibly sweet and kind, and the coffee itself is excellent every single time. My go to order in the mornings is a shaken, not stirred drink made with coconut milk, along with a sausage taco and the green salsa when they have it in stock. It is the perfect start to the day. My other favorite drink is their seasonal strawberry Matcha, which is not overly sweet and perfectly crafted. When they have this on the menu, I almost always get it. One of the things I love most about this place is the outdoor backyard space. It is ideal for kids to play while adults enjoy their coffee and catch up. It has become one of our favorite weekend spots to meet friends. I also regularly buy gift cards for holidays here for my daughter's teachers because it is such a well loved and popular local spot in Georgetown. This was my first time here! I'm trying to venture out of the Starbucks world lol! There is gravel parking and paved parked, and plenty of it. It was very busy and very packed. The cashier was super friendly. I only wished they had more accessible menus, so I can see what I want while in line and if they have different flavors, etc. I got an iced latte with oatmilk and it was super good, and the donut was so delicious (coming from a person who doesn't like pastries! lol) It was about $15 w/tip included for a coffee and pastry. I ordered a matcha latte which was good but could have been much hotter and my fiancé had a cortado. I actually liked the cortado more. I'm usually here every weekend morning, enjoying the ambiance of the place, its coffee, breakfast tacos, and really welcoming staff. I originally tried their Cappucino, but wasn't a fan, so I went for another basic; Latte. That is now my drink of choice. Simple, great consistency, and creamy. People come here to study, chat, catch up and relax, so it always has a chill, friendly vibe here. There's plenty of charging spots for those hooking up phones or laptops. There's also a side room which sometimes holds group meetings. I was once in there with a Georgetown committee which brought me into their conversations, which was fun. If you're interested in merch, they also do a range of cups, t-shirts etc. You may want to represent once you've tried the place. Small coffee shop in Georgetown, TX. There have a parking lot on the side and some curbside parking. There are indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. It can be a little loud inside due to the size of the place. But overall not too bad. Coffee is overall good. Not too bitter and not too sweet. The empanada was flaky but a little bit oily. Got a half caf oat milk latte with vanilla. They did great with the sweetness level. Also tried their lemon tea cake. The lemon tea cake was also delicious. Moist, balanced, and not too sweet.
