I walked in on a Monday afternoon. It was my son's 8th birthday, the kid loves sweets and I enjoy supporting local businesses. We got four different cake bites and not sure what this is called but it was like cake in a container, Oreo/Cookie Monster. The cake container was my favorite! The small cake bites, confetti, red velvet, strawberry shortcake, and I don't remember. Either wedding cake or vanilla. The cake bites were a mix of dry with what seemed no flavor, maybe because it was dry/old. The red velvet was more moist and delicious! I'd give the place another try but with fresh options. The employee was polite, very informative. It's a cute little shop, bathroom was in a separate building, not a far walk. Outside seating, in front and back of shop, vending machine with their products. Giving three stars because of how dry, possibly old the cake bites were. Again, I'd try again in hopes of options that are fresh. I assume on Monday they are baking fresh products that may not been out yet. read more

I sampled the chocolate and raspberry cream cake bites! So delicious. I actually picked up these treats for my girls, but they were so good I ate them all myself . I was initially a little apprehensive because of some of the negative reviews BUT I'm here to tell you that from start to finish they were an absolute pleasure to work with! We were looking for a bakery that was local in hopes of getting some croissants, kolaches or muffins for a breakfast fix. However, this business is geared more towards cakes and sweets, not towards kolaches or breakfast sandwiches. I have to admit it was a spur of the moment decision to come here since we were looking for a bakery shop close by while driving through Round Rock. Had I had time to read through the reviews, we probably would've chosen a different stop. Nonetheless they do have some gluten-free goods and they make some truly spectacular designer cakes. They do make a great cuppa Java and they have a couple of tables where you can sit out side. The interior is very inviting and they have some hard goods in the corner to sell as well. The gluten-free chocolate chip cookie was fantastic but the two small cake cubes looked great, but did not really impress. The coconut macaroons were good, but once again tasted pretty average. The muffins they had in the case were few. I purchased a custom cake from Paige's back in December (2023) for my fiancé. I asked them for a green cake with succulents. They were great with asking me questions about adding details (adding vines, color of succulents, etc) that I didn't even think of! Pickup process was easy and they helped me put the cake in my car. Absolutely impressed with the outcome. Our whole family loved the appearance of the cake and everyone was surprised with how good and fresh it tasted! Not dry at all! Did a Yelp search for a bakery in Round Rock and ran across Paige's Bakehouse. She had alot of great reviews so I decided to drive over to ask questions for an upcoming birthday for my son. As soon as I walked in, I loved the decor of the shop and couldn't resist myself in taking a selfie. I asked about cupcakes and cookies. I was informed that they do not provide cupcakes but they provide mini cakes. The gentleman showed me the cookies and mini cakes on display and I knew I wanted the mini cakes immediately. I ordered a week in advance and when I arrived to pick up my order it was ready. Paige did an outstanding job with the details of the design I requested. The mini cakes were delicious!! What is on their site, is NOT what you get for custom cake! What a disappointing experience. I ordered a custom cake for a baby shower from here based on its proximity to one of the girls coming to the shower who lives in Round Rock. The shower was on a Sunday so I prepaid and it should have been an easy pick up for Saturday before they closed at 2p. First, please look at the two cakes from their site we wanted as a base for the design. Instead of Spring Wildflowers, it was intended to be a Fall version. Then, please take a look at what we got- NOTHING like what is pictured and not what one shoud be getting for a $120 custom cake. Nevemind for round 1, they mispelled "Fete" as "Sete" but the handwriting is terrible and instead of buttercream piping they used some sort of chocolate magic shell. The girl picking up the cake sent screenshots and naturally I asked to have the top redone. Round two design they added some sort of weird worm and swirl which again nothing like pictured. The decorator did another round #3- which looked like my 7 year daughter decorated. Its completly DIY, totally off centered and not what you'd expect for a custom cake of this caliber bakery. By this point I would have refused the cake but it was too late as the girl who picked it up left with it and they were then closed. It was out of refrigeration so long the frosting ended up sliding off by the time she got home and was completely unusable and destroyed. I ended up bying a Central Market cake for the shower. Apparently the decorator assigned to this cake is new, which should have been communicated on the front end. Don't put new apprentice on custom cakes. In order for a full refund they wanted me (who lives in East Austin) to bring back a 3 day old cake, which was already thrown out. So after all this i paid $60 (only received a partial refund) for something we threw out. Save yourself from this bait and switch. read more

My family really wanted some cake pops for my Niece's gender reveal. We had already planned on making 2 cakes and 5 different types of sandwiches! Her theme was "Bees"! We had 2 days to find a bakery that could make 24 cake pops! Scrolling through Yelp, I found Paige's Bakeshop. I'm not sure why but, I chose her shop to call first. It is a clean and inviting space. I had actually went in because my daughter was turning 8 and she wanted a mermaid cake. I called and was told to email all my ideas so I did, I got a quick response on what could be done and other options for the what couldn't be done (which was only one thing). Everyone my kids and I made contact with here was super friendly and wonderful! The cake was beyond beautiful, my daughter was extremely happy when she saw it for the first time. I tried to order a cake last minute and was unable to. But the bakery compromised with me and let me preorder a fresh stock cake instead for the day of my baby's birthday. Unfortunately the day of pick up, my father-in-law broke his arm while walking, and I was unable to pick the birthday cake up. I don't remember the girl that helped me that day, but thank you, you were so helpful. I picked the cake up two days later, and Miss Leah was so kind and helpful. She helped me walk the cake to my car and even asked me how my "Pa" was doing. I was so exhausted, stressed out, and flustered at that moment, I couldn't even put words together to explain what I was going through properly. But it really meant a lot to me that she asked. I threw a surprise party for my husband's 40th birthday and ordered a custom cake through Paige's Bakehouse. I'd seen her custom cakes before, and she always did such a beautiful job making them look like art. I was excited but vague in my decorations request I said I was throwing a Taco Bell themed party so some tacos on the cake would be great. Imagine my shock and delight when the cake showed up with what looked like a real Taco Bell lunch on the cake including fondant tacos, nachos and even the sauce packets! BURGLARY!! The only reason i'm giving 2 stars is because the manager of the place was nice; however she couldn't help with this situation at all. OBVIOUSLY this fondant figure looks HORRENDOUS!! The fondant is not blended out at all and looks like beat up play dough a 1st grader put together. It was very obviously rushed and for TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS, my expectations were much higher than a kindergarteners recess project. (i was to the expectation that a professional cake maker would be making the fondant figurine). I sent in a reference picture of both the dragon (Figment) and a fondant figurine i would like recreated, strictly mentioning that i hated the base of the cake because it looked plain. Instead, i was given the worst color combination i've personally ever seen as well as a lack of glitter/iridescence (both i was told was on the cake) but as can be seen in the photographs, IS THE GLITTER IN THE ROOM WITH US??? There's literally no glitter or iridescence on the base at all, just horrible color combos. Also when closer examining the figurine on my way back home, i noticed that one of the horns fell off (i had only had the cake 2 minutes, literally, i timed it) and the figurine was quickly sweating even when rushed to air conditioning from the "bakery" to the car. The head is very obviously detached and looks whacky. The whole figurine looks frumpy and lumpy and when confronted with this i was told "he just looks like that", when no, he doesn't.... THIS WAS $250!!!! I WAS ROBBED. *After eating the cake I can now add that it tasted super buttery (in the worst way possible), none of the people in my party could eat it and it was incredibly dry. The icing tasted like i was plainly eating a stick of butter and when asked if they could do a simple rainbow mini tiered cake they said it was not possible. Instead we got a "black and white marble" which was literally NOT EVEN MARBLE (AND THATS NOT EVEN WHAT I ASKED FOR, it's what i settled on because i was told everything else was impossible). It's a black and white cake on the inside with more horrible "buttercream" frosting but purple! THE ONLY thing they got right about this cake were the COLORS of the fondant sculpture. read more
