I very much appreciated her dialogue with me about what I wanted and what she could produce, she helped me come up with design ideas because I had the nerve to show up clueless lol and she knew all the right questions to ask to get some design ideas flowing. Terrible experience. Disappointing product and zero customer service. Six days before my son's birthday, I asked the owner if she could make 12 cupcakes with fondant YouTube play buttons. I explicitly stated that if it was too short notice, it was completely fine. She insisted it was no problem, so I paid $60. After rushing from work during a severe Friday flood storm to pick them up just 10 minutes before closing, I was shocked by what I received. The execution looked incredibly amateur. The YouTube logo was just a poorly printed graphic image, and there was barely any frosting on the cupcakes. I emailed her at 5:00 AM the next morning--NOT asking for a refund, but simply pleading with her to help me fix them or add frosting for my son's party. She responded with zero empathy and flat-out refused to help. I ended up going to Michael's to buy modeling chocolate and even whipped up my own frosting to fix them myself in the single hour I had left before the party. (See photos: 1st is the inspiration, 2nd is what she gave me, 3rd is my rush fix). I supported this baker three years ago when she ran her business from home and she was great then. I walked into Noble Delights Bakery with my fingers crossed tightly. Hoping that I could get a custom cake for a co-worker who is leaving Corporate America and heading into the world of Pastry Chef! My timeline was super tight (I was hesitant to put this in here, because I don't want to create a bunch of orders with tight timelines for Noble Delights.) My goal was to definitely find someone local to Leander and to be transparent, I had gone to another bakery (in a yellow house) and they were quite unpleasant about my request and really made me feel like I was asking for a miracle with the photos I showed them and the timeline. So, when I walked into Noble Delights, I did not have high confidence that I could get what I was hoping to get. Quite the opposite! Not only was I greeted with a super friendly and open minded attitude from Regina, but she was genuinely excited about making this cake for me! Not only was the cake available at the exact time that I needed it to be, it was ADORABLE and EXACTLY what I had asked for!! And, if you can believe it...it was DELICIOUS! I happen to find this bakery after another took 4 days to respond and then told me he did not have enough time to do a custom cake. I am a firm believer in supporting local business instead of national business where possible. The next day I feverishly looked and found Noble Delights. I submitted for a quote AND sent an email to see if it would be possible to get the cake I needed in time. I did receive an email with a quote. I responded the same day and paid in full instead of paying the required 50% to start the order. For good measure, I responded to the email and said I reviewed and approved the quote and that I paid in full. This was on Monday. On Saturday, I went by the shop to find there wasn't a cake because it was not marked as paid. I instantly wanted to go into tears because I knew that could not be correct. As the owner went to get her computer, I found the receipt that was emailed to me. While she did refund my money, I showed up to my daughter's party in Dallas without the cake she wanted. I have not lived here very long and this was so disappointing. I cannot say I'd go back. What I have learned is I should have gone in person since I'm not known here. read more

As I entered the quaint, pristine shop, Mrs. Noble came from the back and announced that she had some freshly baked gingerbread cookies just out of the oven. How could I resist? Pretty unassuming location sandwiched between some auto shops, but the quality was way higher than expected for such a hidden spot. Thick, homemade frosting on very moist cupcakes and a bowl of banana pudding that would make any Southerner proud.
