i ordered a custom cake two weeks in advance, and i was really disappointed by not only the outcome of the cake but the customer service i experienced. my friends helped me pick up the cake and it did not look the way i expected. they also gave the cake in a box that didnt even properly fit the cake. so when i saw the cake i called at 3:50pm to ask them if i can come back for it to be fixed - they said yes but the baker scoffed and said she would be leaving by 5:30 or 6 so getting there in the next 30 mins would be ideal. when i arrived, i let them know if it was any easier to just draw a fluffy white dog on the cake instead of the jelly cat cake then i am okay with that too since the baker needs to leave at a certain time. one of the baristas went to go ask, and she came back and said no they will be scraping everything off and redoing the whole cake. i showed her the jelly cat cake and asked her "she is doing this exact cake right?" and she responded yes. i waited an hour and the cake still did not match what i asked for, the netting and paddle were crooked and the green did not match the lighter matcha green in the reference photo. i have had both their cupcakes and their premade cakes before and always had a great experience, but i wish i didnt spend $122 for this outcome. i dont think i will be returning again. read more

I love their frosting! It's so light and fluffy but doesn't fall apart. I have been coming here for years and love their red velvet cupcake and carrot cake. This time I tried the pistachio raspberry (very yummy) had a raspberry filling with pistachios in the green frosting. I didn't end up trying the vanilla but heard it was good haha. I was helped by an employee who appeared friendly and welcomed me inside. I ordered two cupcakes, and they were packaged well. In addition to cupcakes, the dessert case also had cookies, pies, pudding, and macarons. They also sell coffee and other drinks. I was in and out within 8 minutes. I was surprised by how extensive the pastry selection was, and pleased to find it varied more than just the usual croissant/cupcake options you'd find anywhere else. I had my eyes on the egg custard cups but settled on a slice of quiche since it was brunchtime. It was delicious, with heavenly, buttery flaky crust. The black forest cupcake is super good. the macaron characters or shapes etc aren't there daily- only special events or holidays. The one lady with the short hair is super nice but another worker was not- the other worker one was kind of rude! The decor is cute but they need to wipe down the tables cus they were so dirty. The tables were also annoying bc they slide around. I think they could really fix this place up a bit. The side seating is way nicer than the larger marble tables. And the lamps by the large table was not very pleasing to sit by- it's missing a lamp shade so too bright. I guess overall, there are some issues that made it average. Their cupcakes are perfect. Not overly sweet. I wasn't a huge fan of the pistachio or tres leche so stick with flavors you like. I have not had a fatcron I haven't liked. So good! They are more pricey but they're big. Sometimes they have a layered strawberry cake, if they do, grab it. Most of the time, it's sold out but it's so delicious! One star off only because they sell out so quick and you never know what they'll have until you get there and see yourself. I wish I lived closer because I really enjoy their sweets. Wow! How have I never been to Whipped before? While looking for places that had gluten free cupcake options for my boyfriend's bday, I stumbled upon their website. While prices are fairly steep ($5+ per cupcake) in my opinion it was well worth it! We are both very intolerant of super sweet cake/ cupcake frosting and the frosting that Whipped makes is perfect! Not too sweet and very rich in flavor. I tried the GF Strawberry cupcake in store to see how it tasted before buying and was very impressed. The cake itself was fairly moist and the frosting does a good job of complimenting the GF undertones from the GF cake. I also purchased the fatcarons (all of which are GF except for the Oreo and biscoff flavors). Still haven't tried those out but they look super cute with their overly stuffed fillings! All in all, I spent a little under $40 for 4 GF cupcakes and 4 macarons and while pretty expensive (docking one star because of that), but I think it's well worth it based on the quality of their offerings. The people at the counter were friendly and helped explain which GF options they had- which was perfect for me as I'm fairly new to this world. Will definitely visit again! read more

I've been going to Whipped since they first open and love their cupcakes and mocha rolls. Today, we got some cupcakes and feel that the taste of cupcakes had changed so much from before. We got a red velvet, a carrot, a mango, and a coconut. All the cupcakes were not as good as back in the old days when they first opened. The red velvet cupcake was really dense. The mango cupcake was so soaked with the syrup that it was so wet. I tried to pick up the mango cupcake, and the whole cupcake crumbled from all the syrup. This was really bad.
