Amazing pastries!!! My coffee wasn't quite sweet enough but the barista fixed it! We loved our food!

I've had my eye on this bake shop for a while and finally decided to give it a try! Firstly it was super cute inside and intimate. It also smelt delicious! When you walk in there's some tables but we decided to take it to go. THE COXINHAS WERE AMAZING! I honestly took small bites because I didn't want them to be gone. The sauce was also yummy. We had a Nutella doughnut and a sausage puff and those were great too! Reminder to order more than one coxinhas because you will FOR SURE want more

I came to this location last month for a sweet treat! I decided to use the 'toogoodtogo' app for the visit as it helps keep me regulated. This bake shop has so many goodies that its hard to control myself when here and using the app forces me to only get what has been preselected for me. In the surprise bag, I received a decadent layer cake. This Oreo cake is actually beyond decadent and if you love Oreos as much as I do, this is the cake for you. Filled with rich spongy chocolate and the buttercream is literally to die for! Three layers of tender, moist chocolate cake are stacked on top of one another, filled with thick layers of fluffy, buttercream. Something about all the cookies blitzed into the frosting on top is just transformative. The cookies on top add crunch and interest and depth to the cake. When viewing the cake from the side, the look the chocolate ganache drip is just EVA-RE-THANG! Aside from the cake, the shop is eclectic and every inch of the shop is filled with something interesting to see, from the chalkboard to the weathered shiplap and display case. The service here is efficient and everyone who works here seems to have a smile on their face like Elf "smiling's my favorite". The shop does have more than cake and sweet treats. Here consumers can find salads, quiche, coxinha (reminiscent of my favorite Sicilian treat, Arancini) and more. There's something here for everyone. #supportlocal

Small and pretty bistro with yummy pastries! They have a wide variety of options and they are sooo good both savory and sweet. Love their egg tarts, flaky and creamy without being eggy. They are a little pricey when you eat a lot like me, but I think it's worth it for the quality. Cappacello: It's lemonade with cold brew. Yes, it is a very acquired taste and yes, no one I know likes it but mannnn, I LOVE IT! lol It's so refreshing and the coffee taste blends really well with the tangy and sweet flavor of lemonade. They open early so best to come early to make sure you have many options since it runs out pretty fast. They have outdoor seating with nice decor and if you order hot food, they will bring it to you. Service is always nice and they have water for you as well. Love this place!

I love this local bakery. They participate in Too Good to Go, so none of their products go to waste at the end of the day. I have tried many of their products and have been impressed. My favorite item has been the double chocolate cupcake. Delicious! The oatmeal cookie sandwich was tasty, too. I enjoyed a peach turnover there once as well, and a raspberry filled donut. One disappointment was a scone. It tasted powdery. I think that was a one-off, though. I look forward to further patronizing this business.

Hidden away in Leander. They have amazing pastries and cakes. I usually get the Sonhos or Malasadas here. Small little bake shop with ton of outdoor seating. I would recommend coming early as they can get busy during the weekend. Service is great, they do their best to keep up with the long line. When I came today it was their 6th birthday. So if you go today (08/19) make sure to say Happy Birthday and you might get a little surprise. Also note there a few parking spot but it is mainly curb parking.

Go to for coffee, sweet or savory treats. I loved being served in a coffee cup. Both options are available. Limited seating inside. Always greeted with kindness and knowledge of the baked goods. Great spot in Leander, very quiet and peaceful..,

A hidden gem you must try! this is the cutest little bake shop with coffee and the most delicious looking pastries. A lot of gluten free options!

It had been a few years since I've been here but the staff is still just as friendly as before. They do have more sweet pastries than comfort pastries. I do remember buying quiches & empanadas before. The only thing I noticed was the seating arrangement seem like there's less than their was before. Other than that everything was great

Again! They don't miss a beat!! Taste, details, communication with Kim all amazing!!!

Backyard patio has some big bricks for the kids to play with. Parking is a bit confusing at first but there's additional parking to the side if the entrance lot is full. We sat outside and ordered the following dishes: Coxinha (shredded chicken croquette) was excellent and very kid friendly. Crispy on the outside while incredibly creamy and soft on the inside. 9/10 Bolinha de Queijo (fried cheese balls) were my son's favorite, basically their version of mozzarella sticks. 9/10 Pizza Queijo, cheese pizza with crust stuffed with Brazilian cream cheese, really good. 8/10 Espetinho de Chicken Heart, my wife's choice and she loved it. Dense, slightly chewy, and best with lime and the creamy pepper sauce the waiter brought after I asked. 8/10 Strogonoff de Frango, the standout main dish. Rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned sauce with excellent rice and crispy potato sticks. 9/10 Caipirinha Tradicional, solid and paired well with the savory dishes. 9/10 Caipirinha de Caju, my wife loved it, perfectly balanced sweetness. 10/10 Brigadeiro (dessert) taken to go. Small but tasted as expected. 7/10 Pricing is mid range and actually lower than expected overall though drinks can push the bill up quickly. Overall, great vibes and a very enjoyable experience. Best suited for dates, special occasions, or family outings. I would definitely come back, especially to try more appetizers, different pizza options, the Strogonoff de Frango again and try some new dishes. 4.5 / 5 rounded up!

Luckily, they were able to seat me anyway. This is a casual restaurant with a full bar. I was going to eat 4 times today, and needed to pick something light, but ended up with the escondidinho de carne, a shepherds pie like dish, chicken skewers and a dragonfruit caparinha. Cocktail- served in a lowball and looked great upon presentation. This tasted pretty good, but ended up being so small with a lot of ice, unfortunately. Skewers - these were pretty good with a nice grilled flavor. I loved the texture. Escondidinho de carne - this is a really good dish with ground beef that doesn't have many veggies like the Irish version, but still very good. The visit was not without a miscues though. I asked the waitress for an extra plate when she brought the entree out, but she never returned. Then, at the end, I finished my meal and nobody was coming to my table to give me my ticket. I had other places to be so I had to walk to the register and ask for my bill. Another person at the bar, who I had never seen come to my table, prepared the bill so I could pay. This was a little bit awkward and just seemed like the employees were flustered due to the holiday or something and just forgot about me entirely. If I ever return, I will have to come back and try the steak on my next visit. It looked really good!

We were originally planning on a different place, but I recently found out that this spot opened up in Bastrop. The place is smaller and a bit less fancy than the Brazilian steakhouses in Austin, but the food is just as good. I'd even argue that some of it were even better. I'm a huge fan of the parmesan pork, even though most people find it too dry, and it was better here than at any other place I've tried. The salad bar was smaller than what I'm used to, but the selection was great. Everything that I tried was delicious, and the others in my group who tried other things were very pleased, too. Everyone in our party had their own personal favorite. My four-year-old granddaughter couldn't get enough of the sausage, which was quite good. The service was outstanding, which I've found to be typical of these types of restaurants. The service staff (and I'm assuming the managers) were on top of everything, keeping our drinks filled and frequently asking if we needed anything else, but managed to also be unobtrusive at the same time Towards the end of the meal, they began asking if there was any particular cuts that anyone wanted, and they filled our last requests. I'll admit that I had more Caipirinhas than I should have, which likely made my experience even more enjoyable, but we all had a great time. We all enjoyed the experience very much, and while it was indeed pricy, it was still considerably less expensive than I would have paid in Austin. I'm super-happy that this is an option in Bastrop. I'll absolutely be visiting again, and I really hope that it does well enough to be a permanent fixture.

This is supposed to be a fine dinning experience and not even in McDonalds I get this kind of bad service. I understand different dishes take different times but if the staff knows it's a birthday celebration. You can't sell dishes with 15 min between each other. Then, this poor excuse for manager comes to "talk"to us and instead of apologizing for the lack of service. She says" oh well, what do you want me to do" . " Well I'll go for the rest of the food and we will see at the end". So not counting : -lack of service from server -poor communication between staff -non existent people skills from management. The attention that we saw between the service from tables getting full experience and us was incredibly noticeable. It's amazing how the place is still open by way they run this restaurant. We were not disappointed! Frog and the Bull is a modest sized place in a strip mall, nice vibe, folks having a good time at the bar. Destiny was our waitress, she did a great job, attentive but not intrusive. Thanks Destiny! We started the meal with the brussels sprouts on the recommendation of Destiny. What a winner that dish is! Sprouts, apples, Manchego cheese, sherry vinegarette reduction and some awesome bacon bits... heaven on a plate! For entrees, we opted for the pepper-crusted filet, medium rare, and the fish and chips. Both plates were good. The filet was cooked perfectly, spot on temperature, and the pepper-crust was a bit overpowering. Not bad, interesting. We're more purists when it comes to meat, so the filet itself would likely have been even more delicious. The sides of asparagus and pasta were okay, a Basque-style potato on the side would have outshined the pasta. The fish and chips were good. The fish was fresh, nice batter, served piping hot as it should be. The fish portion was modest, especially given the price tag. At that price point ($25), the fish serving should have been twice the size. The initial serving of "chips" were room temperature at best, but that was quickly remedied by Destiny when brought to her attention. The truffle fries are darn good when hot! All in all, a good meal. A 4-star experience. The above observations are intended to suggest options for improvements, not criticize. The "Frog" portion of the restaurant's name is an homage by the owner (a former Navy Seal) to his fallen Navy brethren. (Note the Navy Seal Trident above the entrance to the kitchen). Thank you for your service! We will be back, lots of other stuff to try on the menu. Recommend Frog and the Bull, nice vibe, good food.

Our friendly young male server suggested a new Portuguese beer that just came out. It comes in a 4-pack, 6.8 oz bottles with convenient pull-tabs & on a bucket of ice. We went for it! Not bitter, light bodied & easy to drink. We savored the ambiance in the outdoor patio as it FINALLY cooled down to the low 70s! We were given water in a carafe and 2 glasses. I'm sensitive to the taste of municipal tap water so I should've asked if it was filtered water? You'll have to ask for ice cubes if you want ice. Our tapas were the scallops ceviche tostadas(2 tortillas holding them) & a flatbread with Serrano jamon, sliced pears, melted brie, onions & drizzled balsamic glaze. Hubs liked it but I thought it was lukewarm & skimpy on the ham. The cheese wasn't gooey & cooled off. Was slightly gamey to me. He loved his scallop ceviche tostada. The restaurant wasn't very occupied but our server said it gets pretty packed in the evening esp. when there's live music. More people came in when we were almost finished eating. We ate outside because they must have just disinfected & mopped the floors because the inside had a super strong chemical smell. Lots of metal tables and chairs in the patio.
