Tucked into a shopping strip, this dessert shop offers up unique rolled ice cream and gelato treats. The space is stark white and lacks any decor other than blown up posters on the walls of different menu items (one of which isn't even offered anymore, so I'm not sure why they don't take it down or replace it). Service is very casual but somewhat confusing. The menu is overwhelming in that it has a lot on it but doesn't really simplify the ordering process - it's too complex. They do roll the ice cream and make everything in front of you, which is cool, but very time consuming for them. Fortunately when we went, it was empty, but I can't imagine if it gets busy how long it would take. The sizes offered start with "mini", and we ordered 2. However, we both only finished about 1/3-1/2, so even a mini is enough to share - depending on how much ice cream you're in the mood for. Each were about $8 each. First try of rolled ice cream. Pistachio flavor - Wow! Amazing! It's quite a fulfilling sight to see the whole preparation (luckily I went at non-peak hours , only one staff member and there was no line) . Ambiance is good (very bright and neat), I wish they would add some wall decor about the origin of rolled ice cream, that would be fascinating. There is outdoor seating and is located at a prime area with general parking. Service staff is not as friendly (imo) but they do their job well. I really wanted to like this place especially because they offer pistachio ice cream/rolls which is why I came here in the first place. The first bite was really delicious but then as I continued eating it, I kept biting into pieces of pistachio shells which made it very unpleasant to enjoy. Checked out this new place and to be honest I've never heard of rolled ice cream or even knew this was a thing. And it was such a nice delight! The service is friendly and they take the time to explain everything. The bathroom and building in general are very clean. I got a mini roll with the namaste (cheesecake bites and strawberry) mix in and chocolate sauce and it was very good. It was actually still a lot for one person I feel so I wish they offered an even smaller one with just 3 rolls vs 5. It would be beneficial if they offered signage where you ordered or where the line starts, I sort of just stood in the middle until the cashier asked if I was ready. The service itself was great! I didn't catch his name but he tried to convince my partner to get a sweet treat with me (a wise man ) and also made conversation about anime because the shirt I was wearing. It's more rich, unless you are looking for something more tart. I tried the mocha and my kids had one with cake and sprinkles. Simple, easy options to choose from. I took my girls to have ice cream rolls and this is most definitely a place we will visit again. We went in during spring break, one employee was there and he was helpful to the extent of choose this with this or that. The place is very bland, music playing, not too loud. Pretty unique way of making ice cream! Quite labor intensive to be honest, and the result was pretty good, but unfortunately not good enough for how long it took. I also tried a few of the other ones made since I went with family and the ones that had more grainy add-ons had a less desirable texture, so overall it was not quite my favorite. I did really like the one that I got, flavorwise. Really has potential if you know what to mix though. read more
